The attendant of light will eventually spawn at the top of the tower and will be surrounded with 4 nasty's, killing all mobs may or may not have any effect. I killed those mobs for 7 cycles and nothing...didnt play for couple of days and pop'd back in to see if dragorn sycophants were up,,,and they were,,,,seemed like each time I dropped a dragorn sycophant more girplans spawned. Each time I killed one of these fast spawning griplans ,,,another pop'd in its place soon after,,so got a bit impatient and just killed the last dragorn sycophant,,,and Oh Pop the "Attendant of Light" ...aye he is surrounded by 4 mobs that are attached to his argo....but I also pulled those roaming girplans ,,,for a 72 ranger with a merc cleric ,,,,,just gated out to come back and try a better approach,,,got back in 10 mins and the attendant of light was up still but soon dispawned...going back later
Almost couldn't play the game without Allakhazam and Illia's websites, so just how does this event start? What is done to get it going....looked almost everywhere for answer so now asking here. thx in adv. I have been to top of tower as discussed in this post and after dropping about 4 rounds of killing all mobs not seen one dragon sycophant pop,,,there must be something to get them to spawn?
How about some useful information, instead of vague references like "pull each dragon sycophant on top until all 8 are killed" and "kill all the girplans that are further out from the middle?" On top of what? Further out from the middle of where? There are girplans all over the zone, and tons of places that could be classified as "on top."
My Ranger has 220 tracking, and has been all over the zone, and there isn't a single dragorn sycophant up, nor has any spawned in the hour I've been walking around the zone alone, so is there something that needs to be done to *get* them to spawn? Are they on a longer timer than the rest of the zone? Where are they *supposed* to spawn?
I took my Mage all the way up to the top of the spire to the room where you can see the sphere in the hole in the celing and murdered everything, then waited for respawn. The same mobs I killed respawned, so that can't be all there is to it.
I'd really like the DS clicky for my Monk, since Yar`Lir is a bit out of my league for soloing, and the Dain ring is pretty long-winded as I understand it.

In response to my own question, the Attendant of Light does spawn in the large room at the top of the spire. If you look up, and do not see a spinning red orb with metallic rings swirling around it, you're in the wrong place.
To prevent the adds referred to by other posters, I killed off the dragorn in sets. I pulled three first, killed them off, and then made a careful and complete lap of the room cleaning up several girplans that had spawned as a result. I then pulled pairs of dragorn and repeated the process, leaving only a single dragorn left, then medding to full.
After killing the final dragorn, the Attendant spawned with four discordlings immediately surrounding him. There was probably a girplan or two that spawned as well, but it's been a couple days and I don't remember clearly.
Since the Discordlings qualify as summoned creatures, Annihilate the Abberrant was helpful (and would have been more so if it had triggered the 32k nuke when I needed it) but I was very glad to have my girlfriend with her 80 Shammy along, the mobs being unexpectedly painful.
Dropped the shoulders, going back for round 2 tonight.

pops as soon as you kill the last sycophant (dragorn model) -- so, kill all the girplans that are further out from the middle first to prevent more adds.
Dropped: Shard of Incandescence -- 35mana/end type7 aug, recommended 53
I'm a 70 beastlord and I know how to single pull everything to kill him just bring a 70 cleric with you or around that
pet pull each dragon sycophant on top until all 8 are killed - then you single pull each pet that spawns the harrassers next to the attendant which is tricky - make sure you guard your pet up near them without aggroing them then run down stairs a little ways then do /pet follow then really fast /pet attack (make sure the harrasser is targeted when you run down the stairs) as soon as your pet loses health use /pet hold and you should have the mob warp to you and your pet and then run upstairs and fight it - do this till all 5 or 6 pets of his are dead then pull him the same way and kill him - dropped Dagger of Dawn I think it was called when I killed him the first time
I have hunted in this zone before and I tihnk I knowmost of the named spawns. However I have never see this named girplan. Can someone please discribe where I might find him? And how had is this mob? Can a 70 monk/sham kill?
Most likely the mob was added to the database before the picture was submitted. I've adjusted the level downwards to reflect the dark blue /con, but we still don't know its actual level.
