85 Cleric and 79 gimp mage bot. Cleric was ~34K/4600AC at the time. Was an incredibly long fight, coming in at around 68 minutes! Cleric tanked the entire time except for a couple seconds here and there when he was knocked back by AE's and mage pet would take some damage. This is one fight I don't think I'll try solo. Even though it could easily be done(was 94m at end), it would take ages.

Fight Details:

Fight Length: 68 minutes. (Mage kept dying, cut down dps by large margin)
Damage to NPC: 2.13 Million
Damage to PC: 1.8 Million
Max hit: 3250
Min Hit: 613
Avg Hit: 1305
Avg NPC DPS: 434
37.9% overall Accuracy from King.

Dropped the singed scroll and argent protector as well as the fabled bp today.
Which made my cleric happy as i was there for the scroll. Much thanks to the 85 druid and 85 mage who did the killin as my 45 cleric tried not to get killed (but did 3 times hehe).
No joy on this camp so far

Have been camping him for 3 days now on and off. Have killed regular version prolly 10-12 times now solo and still no fabled spawn requiring me to call in back up to smash him to pieces. On the brighter side i have MQ'ed that part of the cleric epic almost as many times now since i have 2hrs to kill between respawns endearing me in the hearts of many low level clerics. More rez clickies in game and happy clerics offering me free rezzes for life is soooo ftw. Hopefully all this good karma i am earning will entice big daddy fabled version to spawn for me. If not, oh well, free rezzes are really nice and believe me i will put all those clerics to work rezzing me multiple times.
As to the method i use to enter the locked areas there, spent 12 hrs straight to get the Fabled boots of shadow walking from guy in tenebrous to only finally get the regular version. Since hate taking up rogues time to let me in and don't want to make my other friends shroud into rogue and do walk i can do myself.

Think I read somewhere that he was one-grped by lvl 70s in Anguish gear once...regardless, took him out with 7 peeps in a makeshift raid; all Anguish+ or equivalent. Raid was PAL (21k/4k), CLR (x2), BRD, BER, ROG, BST. Long fight, prolly took a good 20min or so to down. Max rounds I noticed seemed to be around 3k, but few and far between--averages were 600-1500s. Fun fight, w/resists in 500s we avoided most the AEs, except the FD spell. :D

Details:

Wizard Class (Doesn't Kick, Doesn't Bash, Doesn't Ramp).

Read above for his AE's.

Has 1,500,000 - 1,520,000 HP with 2000/tick regen.

Max hit at 34% shielding was 3033. Low of 471. 32% accurate.

Slightly slowable.

DPS_IN on a 75 Paladin (3500ac, 90avoid, 34% shielding, Dodge3, 1h/shield, max resists, max aa) was 300-320 dps.

You're welcome.

me and my father are planning on taken this guy out for my father, who is a lvl 75 cleric, any idea how hard this guy hits? we have 3 tanks, 2 of them are 18k buffed, and the other is CoA equiped pally, how much DPS are we gunna need for this guy? is it a must for a SHaman slower or a beastlord slower? we have 2 clerics 10k mana on both, 2 warriors, 1 necro mance, maybe two, both being COA equiped, 1 beastlord, 1 CoA ranger, anything else we gunna need? with new Fellowship and guild banner all of the group should be alot stronger

Is there any info on tactics against this mob. Does he have a particular spell he does not resist, do the Lure line of spells hit, what is his regeneration rate? What does he max hit for, speed of attack etc. Any info would be nice. Thanks

He does spawn again (2006)
A group of Anguish geared people took 90mins to kill it.
Has some sort of AoE gravity flux spell and also some sort of FD spell.
Huge regen.

Obviously you want to fight in hallway, since then you only have to worry about 5 roamers every 15mins.

What I am curious though how do people pull king to hallway.

If you kill enough mobs in Droga/Nurga, the folks in Chardok become very forgiving. Dubious or better, walk down to hallway, no fights. Pacify the other mobs in King's room, then pull king to hallway.

GEtting the faction in chardoks pointless now (used to be used for a couple of good reasons.)

And the time required to get dubious faction from kos is some work. Not worth it for a quick king kill.

We fought him in the room before hallway. Gave us more room to move.
Used an sk to pet pull the room clear, then someone grabbed him single and pulled him out.

Just for the sake of making it easier really. The adds aren't anything. Could just agro entire room and have someone kill them off during the fight.

The normal King respawn every two hours, but the Fable (which will pop instead of the normal king) seems to be random or rare spawn right now.

In modern language Decimate means to destroy in whole or a large part of a group (or single person) oddly this only applies to the destruction of humans.

The Romans used to Decimate, they would kill one in every ten people, usually just to make a point to deserters I believe, but dont hold me to that.

9 years of college and thats about all that I remember. That and how to make a bong out of just about anything...

Honestly yes, he hits HARD (tops out at 5400), but the good thing to the rest of us is it is a SLOW pounding. What I noticed about this dude, is you need to clear the hallway, but make sure that when you decimate the hallway you leave time between kills, so that when and if they pop on you in the king battle they don't all spawn at once.

Second thing is of course clear his room, then pull king. Like i said he hits hard so you don't need a lot of adds floating around.

Third you can do this with a 11k tank with ease, just bring a few clerics/necros(pumping)/bards(resist song/manasong) and of course a few druids/shammies/pallies(we will get to these in a sec). He does hit hard but i stood up to him (buffed to 8k at the time) for a bit before our adds kicked the bejebus outta our healers. Just keep a good solid CHrot on MA.

Now back to the dru/sham/pallies. These are key to keep up the people who don't resist his AE (i didn't take one hit off it with my resists at 100-210ish, didn't have time to see if it was poison or what, but since my magic was highest i assume that was the check, and it was rumored to hit up to 3k on some members of our raid).

And in closing, bring DPS, he seems to have a chunck of HP (i Harm Touched him for 2k and he lost like 1% if that due to the other people beating on him) approx. 250-300k i estimate.

With a few groups (about 4 for upper guilds, and 5-6+ for casuals) he shouldn't be that hard. He doesn't have high resists, all my spells (66 sk) had no problem hitting him. So just keep your cool, let tank get aggro set and unleash the DPS on him.

Hope this helps

We took him down with a little over 20 people in the raid. His AoE was hitting for a max of around 2k and his hits were around 5k. He has ALOT of hitpoints and a relatively mean regeneration rate, so you need dps to drag him down. Even then, it takes a bit. An interesting thing was that unlike some other epic mobs, this one still drops the usual piece for the cleric epic.

From my understanding this guy hit for little over 5K per hit and does a nasty aoe that can kill you if your resists aren't up. The spawn time is around 2 hours like he usually is. Uber guild camp area and kill =/.
