Was just camping the non fabled version of this so that my baby warrior could get the charsis key and the fabled spawned.
He does drop the Fang

Went with my 51 mage (65 mage and 63 Druid joined me), looking for the Ravener for my epic piece.
Druid had Fabled Xalgoz on track so we ran down there, he conned yellow to me. Cleared the room then pulled him. We took him down pretty fast with no add's. Dropped both the fabled and regular blade, druid logged her zerker (who she had camped there about 15 min before for the blade) and took fabled I took the regular sword for use on my pally and war.

DB to 69. Sounds right to me. He was even to a 55 druid.
The '07 version is definitely 55. Conned even to my 55 pally.

Conned DB to my 57 Beastlord, and spanked him hard.

While working on getting my key for HS, ran into Lake of Ill Omen and found fabled up, ppl on this site claim it was even con at 55 to them, it was light blue to me i killed it with no problem with my 66 war, then i moved over to Kaesora. i read up a bit on it before i went however and found that the mob was also level 40 unless it was fabled then it too would be 55, i got to it and instead of being light blue like the other "55" was it was dark blue, i started killing it and it went through its whole bar of mana trying to cast on me(its a necro) when it ran out of mana with no spells taking on me he started hitting me, was hitting for around around 800s... somewhere there is a mistake either this guy isnt 55 or the one in Lake of Ill Omen isnt...
Killed Fabled Xalgoz just now. Easy solo for 70 Pally. Min hit 98, max 453. Dark blue at 70, was not lvl 40.

I spent an afternoon killing the Fabled Xalgoz spawns and the sword is the only 'fabled' item he dropped in 5 attempts.
Hehe, I killed over 300 regular Xalgoz before I saw a Staff of the Dreaded Gaze, what makes you think the drop rate for a fabled staff is any different?

i spent over 7 dayz straight killing him for that damn staff and never saw it drop once....least i keyed about 150 people. if that staff is fabled then it should at least drop once b4 fableds are gone!!!
Red con to my 52 beast, push over mob, no heals on 62 SK, DB to 62 SK... had 53 wizzy, 66 shammy, 54 SK (got sword) and 57 rogue
