Target: Ancient Sebilite Protector

Level: 74

Max hit: 1600

To trigger the encounter:
Form a raid of around 3-4 groups and take the raid down towards the Juggernaut area in Old Seb and kill the 4 static Juggernauts at #3 on the map here (http://www.eqatlas.com/kunark/sebilis2map.html). This will cause An Ancient Sebilite Protector to spawn along with 2 untargetable adds (a Sebilite Guard) that heal him.

Target's Abilities:
AE Rampage

AE "Curse of the Protector" (2500dd, 1000mana drain, -45 to all stats, 30 curse counters -200 MR check - expect to need 350+ MR). The AE will start to go off when the target reaches 75% HP. At this time, his two, untargetable Guards will begin to heal him. When the target reaches 10%, the AE will begin to go off every 5 seconds.

When the target is killed, his two healers will become targetable and
killable. Also, when the target is killed, a chest will spawn.

Requisites for the fight to count:
- The berserker must receive response emotes for use of his four axes on the target and a final emote with the death of the target.
- The encounter is reported by many as buggy because, most often, the berserker dies at least once in the encounter. Key point: keep the berserker alive.

Ways the Raid can go Sour:
- The target is spawned by both the berserker being in zone and the target's spawn area being cleared. If it is cleared with a zerk with the appropriate requirements in zone, he will spawn and the raid will have 2 minutes to engage. If the raid does not engage within that 2 minutes, he will poof - not being able to respawn for 2 hours.

Specific Tactics:
- Bring HoT/Heal potions. Healers may be oom at any time.
- Clear to event area
- Bring in zerk (CotH or just tell him to run his chubby butt in)
- Kill PHs
- Warrior engage target
- All assist. If DPS too Uber, call them off to make sure axes break (slim, to no chance this will hapen)
- Full burn at 20-30%
- Once target is dead, his guards MUST be targeted, engaged, and killed to prevent further deaths AND finish the event.
- Loot Chest.
- Send zerk on his way for the 2 turn-ins.

Actually there is a minor mistake in this listing.

The ASP itself casts just Death Shackles

He is accompanied by two lvl 70 "A Sebilite Guardian" though which cast Blurring Focus, Curse of the Protector and Complete Heal.

Took down ASP last night with a little less than 4 groups. Only 2 clerics, 1 druid, 1 shaman healing, 1 bard doing MR song. 3 tanks.

No one died till ASP got to about 30% when the first tank went down. At bout 20% he really started spamming the AE and the majority of the raid was dead by the time he was at 4%.

A few rangers, a monk, a tank and I finished him off only to be destroyed by his two guards when they became targetable. The chest popped and then we all wiped. No one made it back to Old Sebillis to loot the chest but all axes were broken and all emotes were received.

I rushed off to LoIO, did axe turn ins then went to abysmal for final turn in.

Epic 1.5 received.

Huh? Wasn't there a bit more info here a while back? Like info on his AE, a link to the chest drop, and even a pic?

Added the AE back. No sign of a pic on our file system. No sign that it has a chest with additional loot, either, according to the quest write-up.

Did this fight last night killed it in the same room as it spawns tested all 4 axes and didn`t die at the end of the fight we got nothing no chest no red emote to say it was complet nothing think its bugged atm.

oh and the curse landed once out of 5 proc`s on me at a MR of 408

that no one gets over zealous and clears the jug room too early.

Someone on my raid bored.. cleared the room spawned this guy, he despawned in 5 minutes before the raid got there and did not show up even though we waited 2 hours, zoned multiple times let the room reset.. nothing worked.

with the gaurds do they hit pepole in the raid or do they just heal the main mob? and is there any way to stop them from healing

NO, I order to get the flag for the quest and basicaly finish 1.5 you have to kill this mob as well as test all 4 axses. they changed it it used to be just break the axses and jet.

as i hear it u have to kill it u get red text after he dies that flags u for moving further also this is rumor i havnt tested yet but i have been told u can to multiple zerkers at once on same mob

Ancient has a fair amount of HPs, our shaman couldnt land slow but didnt get immune message. IMPORTANT: Use the axes you were given, use each one untill it apprears on your cursor. After you "break" "damage" "test" all 4 kill Ancient ASAP. His pets are inactive untill 75%, at 75% both pets begin to Complete Heal, and the Ancients AE begins. At around 10% the Ancients AE begins to go off around every 5 seconds. Upon the Ancients death both pets become active and killabel and a chest spawns. Be sure to kill him in the room he spawns in or you may not get the chest.

Was just wondering ... if you don't really care about the chest do you even have to kill him??? basicaly could you just test the axes ... once done ... have a wizard Mass TL to bind?

Sorry, but you need to kill him. You get the 4 messages from testing the axes, and the final message upon his death.
