watch for the red-to-forty smuggler. he wiped the floor with me . i thiought i would kill dyllyn and loot and run ....well i got to look at his loot at least before i was reborn in frontier mountains ..maybe ill be back before he spawns again in seven hours

his spawn time is 7 hours i was on for 7 hours fighting orcs right after someone got done with him and someone took the camp 5 hours later and fought him in 2 hours. if that was confusing what i meant is spawn time is 7 hours i am for sure on that

On the photo above it shows Dyllin standing in front of the brew barrel. He doesn't spawn here though, he spawns under the little wooden roof thing next to the kiln and the oven. After the 40+ smuggler goes down towards the lake, root, dot, and blast him. My lvl 24 druid did this with ease, just stand back far enough so the smugglers dont aggro but enough so Dyllin wont hit you.
- Also, I dont know if this is the same for all everyone, but the best time I found to camp him was between 4-6 O'Clock Eastern time. I went to camp him at 3:30 and only waited half an hour! He spawned at 5:30 the previous day, again another short wait. Good luck!

I am not a caster, so I really don't have much of a use for this item. But could I camp this guy alone and give the loot to someone who needs it. He is very easy, and the 40+ monk can be easily rid of with a simple Harmony spell from a druid. I am a 25 Bard, and get bored waiting for room in the Goblin Groups in the Keep. So I plan to do this and help some druid out. My question is basicly, Is the item NO DROP, or is it just LORE?

ok lost my account and heard bout this quest, what is the minimal level druid for killin ythis guy UNTWINKED!!!!!!

Well im here camping him, even though i was told that he was kill at 5:65am EST, its now 2:50 EST and still waiting for him to spawn. I have learned of the 40+ smuggler that walks around. He is down at the water for 2min and 15 sec then he will aggro on to you. So if they are right about the 6hour 45 min spawn he sould be popin any time soon. Hope he dose :)!!!! Ill get back with what happend.

I was sent a tell by the person camping him before my cleric did. I was near spot so I went then and camped Dyllin with a good friend of mine. We waited exactly 7 hours for that spawn.
My cleric was lvl 23 at the time and had no problems whatsoever killing Dyllin. Conned green to me

I'm camping Dylin on Bristlebane right now. I arrived to find him camped but he spawned within minutes, so the camp was turned over to me. He was killed at exactly 8:45PM so I'm guessing he should respaw between 2:45 and 3:15 -- somwhere between 6 and 6.5 hour spawn time. I'll report back the exact length of time.

Here's what I found out so far:
Red Smuggler is on a route where he goes up the hill from the tent. He'll be gone for about 1 minute and 10 seconds before he returns and then hangs out for about 15 seconds. He then disappears to the lake for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

I'll report back when he's dead with the exact spawn time.

I recently completed this questo n the rathe. I am a level 28 druid. I started and after about 8gp i got a jester, got the first page in queynos and ran to wher Dyllin spawns. he was thetre uncamped, and i just went at him, i had had no idea about the hight level smuggler, but ghe went down so quick i didnt even get agroed on, ran right past the smuglers afterwards no problem

The Rathe

I was running thru the zone tonight and decided to pop in to see if he was still as camped as usual. There he was, standing there untouched, at 2:00 AM EST. Well I gave him the death he was so obviously begging for, but I must ask...on him was a Note to Kanthus (I think that's the name) and the Bayle List III, but no page 30 of any book...is this possible or does he drop the page every time? Is the note what I am supposed to give away to Moodoro???

** UPDATE **

I may have forgotten to mention a few things....

A) This was on the Quellious server.
B) I wasn't camping Dyllin at all. I just swam in at 2 AM EST and he was there, untouched!
C) He did not, in fact, have pg. 30 on him when I killed him at 2 AM. Camped out right there where he spawns
D) Woke up at 8 AM (yes, I am an addict) and immediately logged on again. Spawn spot was not camped...again! At precisely 8:45 AM ( 6hrs, 45min after I killed him at 2 AM) he spawned again. Went down after a Root, 2 Wraths and a Smite, and got my Testament now.

Hope this helps folks figure out his spawn times. :-)

E) Turns out the Note to Kanthuk is to be given to a dwarf north of the docks in Kaladim, Kanthuk Ogrebane. Give it to him and he will tell you of his battles with Amstaf (you also get some xp from what I saw...) and this is part of a quest. Ghoulbane or something perhaps?

I have been popping on and off of Eq for about a week now, checking for Dyllin spawn, and he popped this afternoon and was killed by another player at approxomately 4:45. Well, I jumped on tonight with my 14 rogue friend, and he spawned at around 11:00. So spawn time was around 6 hours, 15 minutes. Aside from dying, I finally got the page and my ToV.

Well, here it goes im testing the theory that he pops after patch =) hve been popping in and out at spawn spot for 8 days now till a friend said dont bother wait til after a patch he'll be there.
I'll let you all knows what happens

Ok here's the skinny...
The 40th level smuggler friend Dylin has is no prob as long as you time it properly. As you stand there looking at the camp the smuggler will patroll to the left and right of you. When he goes up the hill to the left he is gone for approx. one min. After he hang out a while he proceeds to the right down to the water. Now here's your chance cause he will be gone for a whoping 7 mins 15 seconds (or there abouts). So as soon as he gets outta sight root and dot and nuke or friendd Dylin and wam bam you have a Testament of Venear.
