I stand on the island below the ledge that has the 2 elite gnoll guards and 1 gnoll. I target an elite gnoll, cast root and then stinging swarm on it. Then the other elite is on me and I start to melee. I cast snare and run across the bridge to the bottom of the entrance ramp. I then cast stinging swarm on it and when it gets to me I continue to cast ignite and melee it. The root breaks on the elite on the ledge and by the time it gets to me the other elite is dead or almost dead. The elite is down to 3/4 health or less and then I just melee it and kill it. I can kill both, use most of my mana, and wind up with over half health. Great xp, still dark blue to me at 15, and the loot is good.

how many gnolls to i have to kill in order for the guards to let me into queynos. I am an Iksar Monk.
Honestly, about 2.7 million. It'd be quicker to find a simple yet high-faction raising quest.

I did this yesterday with my 10th level monk Rontor grouped with a <11 level Beastmaster, an anon monk and a 10 +/- barb warrior. Gang up and kill'em. Experience flows like their blood. While waiting for them to pop up, kill everything else. There were a lot of archery sets to be had out there! Oh, and I dinged 11 in 45 minutes of casual pulling; plus I got my 2 unruined BB Gnoll pelts for the Orange Headband quest, too! =)

I was wandering if I could take the elite ledge if I'm a lvl 13 druid? Using harmoney on one and pulling the other nuking and using sheild of thistles? Also I'de prolly whipe out all of the lesser gnolls on the island. Or maybe I should try the room under the elite ledge any help would be great.

I;ve camped Green Room many times and I have gotten bronze rapiers bronze battle axe's bronze maces bronze two handed sword's and two handed axes also i have gotten the bronze ulack

Hey MORON.. if you read even half the posts below. You would have noticed that someone(like 3or4)has posted that info.. No reason to be an idiot about it... Do YOU realize HOW MANY CREATURES there are in this game? including all zones and Now there will be all the ones from SoL!!!! You try getting off your lazy butt and pay for the servers to supply all of us with all this info.. THEN program it all in.. OH, you aren't allowed any mistakes either..
I myself am grateful that this site exists. So what if a pic or two is wrong. I know what to look for at least :)

I camp elites gnoll guards all the time, and never once have I seen one drop a spiked mask... Is it just me? maybe its a rare drop of something....

i have been camping elite gaurds for the past few days. they give good xp which got me from lvl7 to lvl9 in like a day and a half, and the studded leather collar got me around 2pp=)
Picked up a Blackburrow Gnoll Skin off one today. No idea what it's worth, though someone said it was worth 10-200pp. That's a bit of a price range though, so he might have been insane. Anyway, more loot off the beasties.

Blackburrow Gnoll Skins are used for the Rogue Redemption Quest which leads to the acquisition of the Burning Rapier. Its a decent weapon for a rogue in upper 20's to upper 30's but for the amount of time and money you can get better.

Actual that 20-200pp price Range is accurate. I have been in BB from 10-13 and sold one to a high level for 150pp(he offered that) and sold it to another person for 15pp.

The other reply to the above post is incorrect. To receive the orange headband, a monk needs 2 (non Ruined) Blackburrow Gnoll Pelts, and 1 Blackburrow Gnoll Skin (the latter of which being the rare drop).
Aye its used for monks orange headband quest. 2 gnoll skins, not ruined, and one gnoll pelt and turn those in plus yellow headband. Then recieve orange headband.

A level 15 Tank or caster can camp the Elite Ledge and cycle through the two regular Elite Gnoll Guards that spawn here. There is enough time to rest/med between the spawns. At this level the lesser Gnolls leave you alone. The loot is great, and usually includes the sutdded collar, gold and an occasional piece of armor. The Elite's also have great experience for a blue con. You can solo level from 14 to 16 here in a short amount of time. If you're level 14 you need to camp at the bridge. If you're level 13 or below, group or pair for these kills to gain quick experience. The ledge is a popular spot and frequently camped. It is located on the first basement level straight ahead when you enter the bridged T. area.

Camping those guy for a full week ( at the alternate comander spawn ) and they give NO Elven Charm necklace ( and I have 3 full bagpack or stutted and spiked collars as a proof ;o) ).

Just FYI, the Pic of this mob is wrong, that is the Pic of a splitpaw Gnoll, and its a regular guard not a Elite. they look similar but fur in not white.

weel, if they give good loot, then good for them, you can sell the spiked collars for 5pp, and the studded for aroun 2-3pp, never seen a elven charm necklace, and i camp these guys all the time.. ?:|

The above shown Gnoll is a Gnoll Guard for Lake Rathe, The Elite Gnoll Guards do follow the Color Scheme of Blackburrow.
