Pretty easy kill, solo'd with my merc Cleric and Lvl 66 Air Pet. I am only Lvl 67 with 500+ AA's ~12000hps buffed with Conviction from Merc. Went down in about 2 minutes. Clear the Thought Horrors first, then med to full and everything else went fast after that.
I was able to take him down solo + apprentice cleric merc at lvl 70. Worked my way to the room (was able to inviz most of the way), and took out the 3 elder thought horrors. Medd to full, Fire skin merc, pet and myself, bulwark of Calliav pet, and combat inate fire aura. Send in pet, Pyrelin skin pet, and bulwark repeatedly, throw an occasional heal, burn at the end and down he went.
forgot to use FBO, host or servant of ro, did use renew once to help healer. so could be done quicker if other AA's were used.
Killed within 30 seconds as 76 mage. Wearing nothing but bazaar gear and Defiant armor, resisteed everything (all resists 400+). Had healer merc, but didnt need 'em. Just ran in and nuked away. I'm 14kHP/11kMana 2.1k AC, max hit on me was 111, but he didnt hit fast, especially w/ 76 Air pet stunning the hell outta him. He might have hit me max of 4 times throughout fight. Punk...
Tried the exit from THE DEEP to SS TEMPLE. Found this guy indiffent and does to respond to hails.
Exit to SS seems to be one way only and the final end that is in SS requires you to kneel and push to get through. Note that when near push through point about 3 or 4 mobs will agro on you.
Once through I could not go back to the DEEP from the SS zone.
I destroyed this guy lol i only had to heal my pet twice... was pretty sad.. He doesnt seem to summon either, he does do the aeo it wasnt that bad.. well hoepe this helps <(^.^)>
Solo'd 75 Paladin 50% anguish geared 50% Tacvi Geared. 16.5k self buffed 10k mana. Was straight solo no other buffs were involved. Had max resists (used Infusion) and still got hit by AE although wasnt 2k was 1400.
Summons Swarm pet that doubles for 600. Looks like Time Swarm pet hammer.
Ok this guy is very easy for his level , i triod him with 2 mages and a clr ( all 70 )
He has rather poor melee and 3 spells he casts , when he looks like he is casting a root ( old school graphic ) He is casting a stun ( appeared to only hit clr ) minimal dmg
When he is casting a fire nuke , thats his big aoe DD hits for 1.5k -2k maybe ( Easily mitigated by hp pots )
forget the third , but he didnt resist any rains or bolts and was stunnable by pets.
Took a min or two and got pretty much owned.
Have 1 mage train through deep , zone to ssra , and coh ppl IN SSRA then just zone over. 3 thought horror elders aggro upon zoning so send pet and have clr zone at same time. pretty straight forward
Mob was a Pain to get to but other than that he wasn't too bad I found out that you can train to the SSRA zone and CoH any help from people you are getting there to the deep zone when you zone in there are 3 Thought Horrors to kill then Grigor
all it took was 70 mage (me) 67 cleric (also me) and 70 bard to kill
Yes Train past the mob and zone into Ssra can do the Coh's there then zone back in there will be 3 thought horrors when you zone in that will need to be killed and then Grigor Rojah is right around that corner
OK, I see someone below asked this question but , noone answered. How long before he will pop up again ? If we put a group together and swing by and kill this sucker, is it worth our time to sit and kill Thought Horrors for an hour or so or should we just plan to come back in few days ?
Headed back to Mage boards to see if someone there has the answer but, be happy if someone could enlighten us here on Alla.
11600 hp full defensive pally tanked today, only real dmg taken was from AE. Think he hit me for 255 a few times lol. Full group of 70s, Shm Clr Enc Mag Pal and boxed Dru took him down in under a min. I group healed once and so did cleric and that took care of AE dmg, Conv of Spirits from druid kept me at full health, cleric never had to heal.
I read and thought, DIE TRYIN!!!! Boy was I wrong... 70 beast, 169 AA, 70 Mage 650something AA, 70 Druid 770something AAs.... droped in less than a minute. Infusion and I done fair at resisting with 525 resists. Pretty easy fight for red 1.5 with 2 AE's... Spin stun NEVER landed once.

Apparently he summons pets every other time he hits. Didn't realize this until 50% into the fight. I'm thinking "what is that fire stuff surrounding me?" and behold his pet was there. Kind of like one of those PoE pet weapon thingers.
Good luck

Shm landed malos then i landed sinia...after that went to pop AAs...FBO, SoR, ES....well he was dead before FBO wore off. his melee DPS is negligible and if you take enough DPS he will be dead before the PBAEs can be a factor. truly the hardest part was motivating and mobilize to the Deep, someone ALWAYS has to fall off the bridge. >< GL Mages! ^^
OK, previous info was erroneous. All he has is an AE stun and seems pretty weak. Went with a Pally, 2 Necros, 2 Shamen, Beastlord, Ranger, Cleric and myself. Levels were 68-70. Talk about overkill. Fight was over in about 30 seconds.
The Overfiend is the rough part if he's up. And that's the key. He's not always up. You can invis past the bridge and part way down to the overfiend. Only Elder mobs can see invis and you don't reach them til past the bridge.
Me 70 Necro not even vt geared mostly OoW Tank 70 Warr Time Geared 70 Mage 70 Shaman
I lived and took him out with lifeburn and a final lifetap. Was an insane fight and I had to rez all three of them in the end and get the heck out before the uglie's respawned.
The first time I tried him, there was text that his pet was hitting me for XXX damage but I don't remember seeing any pet before the fight. Does anyone know if NPCs insta-summon their pets?
BTW, we were short Shamans and Enchanters and were the worse for it.
what is the range of his ae, and how hard does he hit please?
Also, does the ae go through the walls? if the ae is the rough bit, seems like you could find a spot to hide from it and take him out with 3 or 4 people... 2 mages and 2 healers to prop up the pet tank. Please post if you've tried this sort of tactic with the results :)
68 cleric 68 enc 67 SK 65 Sham 69 dru 67 war 56 rang 60 cleric 67 mag, me
Definitely overkill here. Told clerics to focus on group heals and that was that. Fight lasted maybe 3 minutes. One groupable with a decent cleric and tank. Next stop: Aakstaff :)
I was just going over a few strats in my head and after reading the other posts would it be wise to patch heal a good tank with a couple of shamans (with Q and such) and druids. Leaving the clerics in the raid to group heal after each AE blast? Or would it be wiser to set up a small heal chain with druids and shamans healing groups after AE blasts? Not in the best of the best guild or anything so looking for something that can easily be done by a majority of our healers being around 3-4k mana fully buffed. Other question since I'm tired and haven't really paid much attention to the posts heh, is this a quick raid where the tank grabs aggro calls for assists and burn down dead or is this a longer more sustained fight?
How long till the next Mage can do this fight after one raid force takes him down? Can this be done back to back? And can this be done with a multitude of pets that can be chain casted and sent in while rest get out of range of that AE? Just curious about that tactic.
iff you pass him up and casters stand aalong the far wall right before the zone line his 2000 ae wont hit near as bad. yes he can be taken down with 2 groups.
I came along with a mage friend from my raid team to help him out. He was originally hoping to get 2 groups, but it was early in the day. At any rate, he was able to scrap together enough to make a full group, me a 69 cleric (not even fully elemental geared), 80% my armor is high end LDoN, Royal Attendant Set, and hard LDoN drops 5.3k hp, 5.6k mana, 1.4k ac, all resists 130+. Im pretty sure I was about the best geared toon there, not that that says much at all. At any rate, rest of the group consisted of 65-68 lvl toons, a pally, shaman, druid, warr, and of course the lucky mage.
We fought our way in, basically just invised til something saw the MT, then we fought it. In the THO we hugged the right wall, and cleared the tunnel leading to Grigor, buffed circle of seasons etc, I dont believe anyone ever resisted anything he threw out though. We underestimated the AE a bit, me and the druid had planned on when to pop group HoTs (CR and SoTW). Im not saying that the AA HoTs are a waste, but dont try to substitue them for a group heal. If I remember correctly his AE hit for about 2k to everyone in group, basically 3 of these w/o a heal, and everyone but ur MT is dead.
After the initial 2kish AE, I started to realize that, I just need to forget healing MT, cause the guy doesnt hit that bad, and focus on group heals, seeing as how we had the shammy there with HoTs, and druid with patches. Sine I wasnt prepared for exact nature of the AE, I burned off quite a bit of mana with the AE heals, but after I was down to the 2M region, I yelled it, and the pally started pitching in. He eventually wasnt able to keep up with the AE, the mage was summoned at low hp, the druid followed suit, as did the pally after he burned LoH on the MT. In the end the shammy saved us with the HoTs and patches, ended up with just me at 90% hp, shammy at about 40%, and the MT around 30%.
Fight didnt last too long, I think this guy can best be summed up as a badass mage, dont really think he has that much hp, considering our dps and the fact that the fight lasted Im guessing 4mins tops from beginning to end (estimated due to the fact that both AA HoTs ran full course. Also he doesnt hit hard, its just his AE, you can single group this guy easy with a full group of elemental geared ppl Im guessing, main thing is to have the group healing power at hand. I dont mean to make this guy sound like a wimp b/c he isnt, his nukes are not to be taken lightly. Just plan to have at least two group healers, and just have them basically run a group heal chain imo, the AE nuke goes off at bout every 15 secs Id say, so just plan it with that in mind.
Took him down with 11 people a few nights ago. The problem is his sick AE's. They ended up really working us. Don't expect to stand back and be clear of them. It would probably be safer to be close to the healer and have allot of Group heals going. The fight would of been alot easier if we did so.
Also to put into perspective we were all elemental geared and the tank is our second MT normally on our raids so he is pretty beffy. We had a ruff fight but that was because we weren't in range for the Group heals.
