It is disgusting the amount clears I have done in order to try and get this thing to spawn......upwards of 35 to 40 and no Breeder :(

just soloed tonight on innoruuk server anguish/demi geared 75k ht helps alot took it to about 25-30% didnt drop below 60%

Well finally got that little SOB!! Been campin him for about 2 weeks now maybe 3 weeks off and on only weekends mostly. Well i went down there solo and pulled the ph and killed him murkglider swarmer was his name. Well sure enuff the next pop was the "Breeder" just stunned me. So i called a raid together had 8 of us i believe.
Well what we did was have everyone at zoneline to Bloodfields and i was over by Breeder and i trained him to zoneline and his little babies along the way i zoned out and another shadowknight taged him at zoneline and beat the hell out of him and only 2 other spawns were with him and a few nocs real easy battle now with todays gear... This was on maelin server

Took this guy on with 75 War, SK, Druid and Cleric yesterday - camped the PH for about 90 min and got every PH possible. When he popped we prepared ourselves. Set the Fellowship camp in the hall outside of the room to the West to make returning easier if things went badly. After beating on the Breeder for a while and all the little guys popped the SK tried to pull them all using his AE spell taunts however the cleric had just healed the SK and drew 3 off him.... the SK ran off with the first 3 babies... the Warrior managed to single target the babies off the cleric (AE taunt was already used in the fight so hadn't reset) and then realized the fight was lost so thinking fast - and thankfully this Warrior was aware of the need to seperate the babies... The warrior ran off down the hall as far as he could until he too died. The cleric bought it cause of the DOT the druid got out.

We went back after getting some really fast buffs so the babies did not despawn or return after 30 minutes. Pulled the Breeder alone and it was an easy fight for the 4 of us.... however spectators are not suggested, the Breeder's AE DOT killed the cheerleader (59 warrior) in a matter of 30 seconds. Everyone else was fine without the babies.

My Experience with the Murkglider Breeder

Just killed this on Bertox, about 3minutes ago. Tank estimated around an icefall bear hps..... 80 to 120k, easy kill. 2 sks, me and friends, took turn training the Murkglider Breeder out to the sig mob hill camp and FDing. Took a few tries to get all 6 babies to spawn, about 8 tries. Kept clearing drifer murkgliders in between. Group sat invis in the alcove just inside from the area with the sig mob camp. Spawn times between the Phs and Named was 20 minutes. Camped about 7 consective spawns before the named popped. Babies are called Murkglider Spawn and are smaller than normal murkgliders.

Forgot to add, Breeder did not hit the tank for more than 900, more 300s. Course he is a 75 sk with max aas and demiplaned geared.

Ok 10 hours straight at this camp no logging and no flippin spawn either whats up with SOE and SK epics. First it was the Decrepit Hide and now this.

Make that 12 hours straight and no spawn

I went to Breeder well before the rest of the party and split out the Murkglider Spawns so the rest of the group would not have to sit around doing nothing. That process took me 15-20 minutes and most of that time was spent losing agro. I could not have done it without my AA invis to allow me to stand and not agro other mobs after losing agro from the Spawns and Breeder. Though perhaps with invis potions it would have worked as well.

It took 6 agros of the Breeder from its home spot to get all 6 babies to pop. As the strat suggested I was able to park them all safely away from where the group engaged the Breeder. The fight was 2-3 mins or less from engage. Easy win. I expect this could have been done with 3 for sure.

Breeder has around 140k hp
on Spawn my parser may have been messing up but anywhere from 25k to 100k

Just because I haven't seen it posted yet, but it has been covered on the sk board (evilgamer.net)
Easily a single groupable fight.

The main thing, is the adds.
The breeder can only have 6 adds out at one time.
One pops on agro, the rest are every few secs (not hp related)
They corpse camp. If you kill one, it allows another to be popped in it's place.
So, you pop all 6 before the fight, they will stay wherever that may be. AFter about 30 mins, they depop.
Get someone to train the breeder around the zone. CoH them back.
The spawns will stay put, the breeder will go back to spawn.
Track and see how many spawns were popped.
If not 6, do it again.
Then grab breeder and pull to group.

Also seems like he wakes up any of the spawn that you manage to mez. This fight no longer seems to be about anything other than keeping the adds off of the healers til you can burn this one down.

The whole encounter has been changed.

He still has the same effects and the adds still happen.

Now though the first Spawn comes with the breeder, and then another one every 5-10% of the breeders life after that.

They are extremely resistant to the AoE mez spell, but the single target works very well against them.

The breeder hits for about the same, as do the Spawn, but the breeder hits FAST. Not sure when the change happened, but I can confirm that as of Feb 24, 2006 all these changes happened.

I cannot speak on how easy it will be to tank since I have 3k ac and 14k hp with over 900 aa's, however we got him alone without multiple FD's and what not.

As you come in from Broodlands, stop in the hallway just before you enter the second room if the Breeder is up. Otherwise, clear and then go there.

Breeder was up, jumped the mob and chanters took care of the 4-5 adds we got. We cleared. I pulled the room the Breeder was in. The one to the left of it did not pull him. Breeder alone in room. All invis and run past Breeder....pull the murk in the hallway. Run up the steps and kill the one in the cubby.

We had a bard kite the Breeder in the room, I counted the babies and he faded back out the hallway towards the Broodlands directions. I pulled the Breeder being ready to FD. He came clean and we nailed him.

That was after 2 wipes without a healer and dealing with adds.

Had 2 bst, cleric, 2 chanter, 2 sk, 1 bard.

Simple question for those who have slained the Breeder. From the Cubby in the Murk Cave leading to the Bridge Keeper...Pulling Murks to the Cubby to spawn Breeder. When the Breeder spawns ...is the Breeder in the room closest to the Cubby or is it to the Room closest to the bridge leading to Bloodfield. I rather visualize this instead of geting Loc I am bad at reading Loc.

Tried this mob on Zek 2 nights ago and wiped with 10 twice (with pvp took us a total of about 3 hours from begining to last rez's).

Drop'd him tonight with around 13 or so people (most pre EP gear'd). Shadowknight.org forum is correct (the adds can be eliminated), this is how we did it:

Clear the cubby closest to the Bridgekeeper buff spot (in the murkglider tunnels). Then clear every mob you see up till the room Breeder spawns in. Post a ranger, on the cubby hole side of the room Breeder spawns in. This Ranger is responsible to pull any wanderers while you train the 6 "Murkglider Spawn"s out of the Breeder. This Ranger is also responsible for casting Harmony on any adds that will agro when the Breeder is finally rdy to pull.

When all 6 adds are out this Ranger will pull the Breeder to the 2 groups (recommended)waiting in the cubby to kill her (Ranger will most likely die so make sure they are a team player, thanks a bunch Harlaa <Xanit K'Ven>). Get a good warrior to tank it while your shamman slows. Recommend you have at least 2 good crowd controllers in case you get adds or if you can not burn it down in under 2 mins, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

Once you have the path clear and your puller in position, the first SK will tag the breeder (I used a spear since it's hella fast cast) then insta invis (pre nerf CoS) and run like a madman to the first bridge towards the BF zoneline. I only got 3 'Murkglider Spawn' out. Then had a 2nd SK rdy to do the same on the BF side of the room (opposite the "pull ranger") the Breeder spawns in. He tag's it (not 100% sure if you should let it reset, I told him not to... but of course I was FD on the first bridge by this point). He trains to the same point as the 1st SK and FD's. We got 4 or 5 spawns out at this point. Then I had lost agro and got up (once again Pre Nerf CoS'd) and ran back ahead of the Breeder. I trained it back to the bridge a 3rd time (I've read reports of people getting up to all 6 spawns out in one train, however it IS very irresponsible to train all the way to the BF zoneline and possibly cause someone zoning in a XP death) and got the remaining spawn out (once again, 6 total).

Once the Breeder reset, the ranger should harmony any mobs that may agro and SINGLE PULL it to the 'mini' raid waiting at the cubby VERY QUICKLY. The puller will most likely die, and the MT needs to get agro so they are next on the hate list. You need at least 2 good healers. This mob is not a joke, only hits for 900s but will wipe your 2 groups fast believe me. He has been single grouped, but I'm guessing these were VERY talented EQ players (I'm not a slacker myself, but have died many times to this mob already... I can't not say this enough... take this seriously... this is the second hardest mob of the SK 1.5 without a doubt).

We lost our main tank when the mob was at about 5%, the backup tank by 3% and I ended up tanking the mob until it died. We had 2 adds (none of them "Murkglider Spawn" I am proud to say) that we had mez'd by our awesome CC duo (lead by Nashez <Xanit K'Ven>) and I tanked them while the real tanks were being rez'd.

I found it very hard to find a comprehensive guide to kill this mob and I hope this explains everything for you. If not I'm on Zek and my main is Goshdern (also a proud member of <Xanit K'Ven>). Feel free to send me a tell for info if you need it, as I'm always willing to help someone learn from my mistakes (I lost 3% regular xp in lvl 70 pulling this mob over the last few days, but it was well worth it now that it is done.)

Well, in the description of Tentacle Snap it says

So all these Spells will cure it sooner or later - for example Abolish Poison, the first in the list will cure it in just one cast ("Decrease Poison Counter by 36" vs "Increase Poison Counter by 36")

Level is 73 or higher, cons Red to a level 70. Was clearing the spawns to get deathsting and this spawned. Rather than waste time on it we just left.

Seemed to be fairly resistant to fire..or atleast my fire nuke...it casted a DoT called Tentacle Snap..unless that was the adds, I don't know. I'm not much help, but /shrug =)

In the last 48 hours I have been able to kill the Murkglider Breeder 2x and he has poped a third on Xev. The spawn point is correct in all the other posts
(-768, +889), but it seems that the mob has changed a bit. Once engaged MB does spawn 6 mobs, called Murkglider Spawn. They can be mez'd, or you can just train em away and FD. The MB will reset, but the babies will not. Now you can easy single pull the MB to your group, however, he needs to be burned down FAST, cus after about 2-3 min it will start poping the Murkglider Spawns again. Made the fight a bit more difficult, but not impossible.

We did try to kill the 6 babies hoping the MB would not re-spawn them, but that didnt work. Just bring a couple healers, a back up tank, and dps. Then you will get your egg. Enjoy your omlet!

We tried this Friday night and the SK first trained the Breeder and company away and it spawned its 6 kids. Then he trained it again and only the breeder came back. I tagged it and pulled it to camp. Somehow one Spawn came with it. We wiped.

More folks logged in (Gave us a total of 20). On the second and third attempt, the SK again trainied the breeder away to spawn the 6 kids and they did spawn, when he trained all again (Spawns included) the breeder came back and no spawns followed but 6 slinkers (And other various Murks) popped with the breeder.

Dont know if this was a bug, But the very first time only the breeder and apparently one spawn came back to the Breeder spawn room. All other attempts failed due to the adds finishing off the chanters/clerics and others.

Breeder was at 11% when I died as defensive ended and there wasn't much of us left at that point. We will be going back soon and will bring more power to offtank the adds as the chanters had a very hard time mezzing them as they resisted alot.

Tashing seemed result in instant death. I just hope the event is in fact bugged and it will be fixed. IF we get the Breeder solo, it will die alot faster lol, if not we offtank.. Either way its dead )

I sent a /bug so time will tell i guess.

The breeder drops a murklider egg for the SK epic, the mob spawns 6 adds while your fighting him that have a lot of HP and are pretty resistant, easily mezzable though. We killed the mob with a group and a half, only hits for 900s. With an enc a cleric and a backup healer your gtg.
