the respawn has to be about 24 hours. i killed him one night, not realizing i needed a flag to loot (noobie move). went got my flag, then sat round and waited for him to repop.
3 Adds at 80% 60% 40% and 20%. 85 ench and healer merc, 85 pal healer box 85 mage healer merc easily killed it today. I think could have taken it with two folks easy enough. Took no time and result was never even close.

languor ? the shammy slow /heal proc . and scale of the reptile . procced enough heals on the monk that even when the adds were being mezzesd they stay on the monk .. mezzed 12 as the fight went along .. killed the withered . succor. ran back and the adds were already despawning .. loot and win eq . got the chanter 2.0 done in under 5 hours front to back .. she had the coa globe in the bank
Found out a hard lesson today, Had fought several undead murks in fair range of this mob, with nothing happening. But earlier I made the mistake of pulling a live murk right over his head, it and its friends (groupmate said it spawned several adds on me) blindsided me before I even seen what was coming, splat went the pally.
We had Warr (3500ac 21khp), clr, rng, bst, enc (box), mag (box), clr (box), shm (box). We tanked him down until each set of adds (79%, 59%, 39%, 19% - 3 adds per wave). I kept Lassitude on Vorac during the fight for the adds. Popped Vortex Blade when adds popped then chanter atttemped to mez. We killed the adds one by one (Vorac tanking them and everyone else ranging to avoid the AE). Once the adds were dead we boght the named down to the next set of adds and did a rinse/repeat. We did have to reclear the wandering bazu and murk during the fight. All in all it went pretty smoothe.
We killed him with 2 groups and a nice strat, that worked pretty good.
we had: 2 cleric mains, 1 war main, 1 paladin main, 1 necro main, 1 beast main and 1 rogue main.
we also had: 1 cleric bot, 1 necro bot, 2 chanter bot, 1 shaman bot
Kimol had 17500 hp and 3088 AC when we did that fight.
We wiped first try but we seen then, how it works.
Group setup: War, Paladin, Cleric Main, chanter bot, necro bot and cleric bot in group 1. Cleric main, rogue, chanter bot, necro, shaman bot and beastlord in group 2.
Cleric bot been chaining CH on War while other cleric was for keeping group up and spot heals on war.
cleric in group 2 had same job: spot heals on war and keep group up.
Withering Murkglider does AE ramp so we pulled him to the 2 rocks at spot and placed raid (if you can call 2 groups a raid) a bit away from that.
When you pull the Murk, adds spawn. We used Paladin to offtank them near the single rock and mezzed other adds. Paladin was far from raid also, so only he took AE 4k DD on kill. Rest did range assist him.
We killed all 4 adds and then went to WM again. WM spawns adds at 79, 59, 39, 19. Always 3 - 4 adds. Its a must to heal groups up, when one died, before you kill next add. (guess you know why)
when all adds been down, war had killed the WM close to next adds.
At 30 we had repops during add kills, but with chanters we been able to handle that also.
WM resists lots but if you try long enough, spells can land.
we kept last add from 19 % pop mezzed and burned WM, cause he was at 4 % that time. After that we killed add.
It was close a few times, but we did it. And of course WM enrages at 9.
Killed a few days a go by 3 people: 1 Person Boxing War, Clr, Zerker, Ench, 1 Boxing Shm, Wiz, Brd and 1 Druid. War, Shm and Duid = DP geared, rest TSS/Tacvi gear.
Killed it where it spanws. Just tanked it and burned it down. Ench trying to Mez adds as they spawned then evaced once named was dead and waited for adds to despawn before running back to loot and rez.
Was a fairly easy fight, did 1 time try to pull it to a safe spot but the first set of adds spawned during the pull wich lead me to belive they are based on time rather than a % but could easily be both. I would say that at the end we had at least 12+ small adds and 1 wanderer.
PS The 2 people boxin got it to 2% on their own and I thnk with a bit of fine tuning we could have killed it with out the druid, but the extra DPS from the druid made this a lot easier. IMO 1 grp with no boxing should be able to kill this NP (COA gear or equal, mana for healer was never a prolem and with the named slowed it was NP just to CH the tank. Also both strats would work kill adds as they spawn (requires a bit more healing) or BURN named CC the adds and evac (requires DPS and some CC).
PS Wiz and Bard was out of the main grp but could handle them self NP and only the zerker and War was in melee range. Did try virus mez (Echo of madness but not with great succes, swhitched to AE mezing).
Our warrior reported Withering Murkglider hit for about 1k max with disc. Withering Murkglider is targetable in the normal fashion. However, it initially cons indifferent, even without invis. Our warrior tagged it with an arrow and started the fight that way. Withering Murkglider itself is not all that bad for an epic 2.0 level mob. However, during the fight, little murkgliders spawn. These adds only spawn about 3 or 4 at a time, but they don't go away until they are killed. The adds are dark blue to a level 70 and don't have a lot of hp. I would guess the adds have around 8k hp each. When they die, they give off an ae which is either *Elemental Energy Burst* for 1000 hp or *Energy Burst* for 4k hp. I'm not completely sure which it is. We attempted to keep them mezzed for the duration of the fight. I used Felicity. When the adds spawned (3 or 4 at a time), they were stacked one on top of the other. This *spawn point* may possibly be right where Withering Murkglider is at that moment (which of course moves through the fight). Due to the initial close proximity of the adds to each other after the first spawn, I loaded Wake of Felicity and attempted to use that as well. I had quite a few resists from Wake of Felicity, say an 80 percent resist rate. Using single target Felicity, I still had a fair number of resists on the adds. Even with the usual tash, the adds were hard for me to mezz. We concentrated solely on killing Withering Murkglider first while keeping the adds mezzed. Then killing the adds. By the end of the fight, there were quite a few adds around, possibly in the range of 20-25. We went around and killed them off, one by one. I don't think Withering Murkglider took out a single member of our raid. But the adds took out 2/3 to 3/4 of our raid. As far as I know, Withering Murkglider itself has no AE. My apologies, I don't remember how hard the adds hit.
Edited by Soladne 05/28/2006: The little murkglider adds hit for about 500-600 max. Often as little as 100-400. And as Vumad and others have mentioned, it is the 4k version of the ae. Energy Burst
Okay forget it, I can't seem to find an online photo hosting site that actually allows the public to view my photos, here's the text of the fight:
Withering Murkglider floats forward, lashing outward with its diseased tentacles. The multicolored aura fades. You begin casting Protection of the Eye trigger. Withering Murkglider blinks and sways. An image of the eye flashes through your mind. Withering Murkglider goes on a RAMPAGE! The shimmer of runes fades. Withering Murkglider hits you for 318 points of damage. Withering Murkglider hits you for 834 points of damage. You are stunned! Withering Murkglider hits you for 600 points of damage. Withering Murkglider begins to cast a spell. Your body withers under intense heat. You have take 1095 points of damage. Withering Murkglider hits you for 1714 points of damage. Withering Murkglider hits you for 674 points of damage. Withering Murkglider hits you for 834 points of damage. You are unstunned. Withering Murkglider hits you for 1314 points of damage. Withering Murkglider hits you for 1074 points of damage. Withering Murkglider inflicts a killing blow with its parasite-ridden tentacles. Withering Murkglider hits you for 1634 points of damage. You have been knocked unconscious! You have been slain by a Withering Murkglider! Returning to home point, please wait... LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
So it appears his AE is 1500, as I have 27% spell shielding, and my guess is fire based, based on the text of the emote "intense heat". As far as being unresistable, not sure, but my FR isn't the best either. And obviously he hits for at least 1714, my guess is 2k, I only have 1% shielding, but I don't think I lived long enough to feel his full smackaroo.
He drops a drop for the enchanter epic 2.0, he is one of the last two fights needed for it, so many enchanters will be quite eager at this stage, but I suggest that you remember, patience is a virtue, this little bugger isn't nice, I was playing my cleric when OoW first came out and we agroed him, wasn't very fun, we were wiped before I knew what hit us, and now that I know what he's for, I avoid that general area of the zone, and now that my enchanter is to this stage, it makes me sick to think that your raid, Avelariel, let it root!
i think this is spawned by walking over a certain spot, much like mage epic2.0, tho i cant confirm this. I also believe there should be a zonewide message when it spawns......If anyone can confirm either of these suspicions, plz post and i will love u forever!
This bugger definitly agros on you off the bat. He ruined my favorite soloing grounds in Nobles Causeway. Max hit on me was 1650, and I didnt live long enough to tell if he had any AE etc. Just kill the mountain bazu and the murkglider that wander through the area and you should have plenty of room to pull back and kill this guy.
LOC -1370, 1015, 255 He is not visually like other Murkgliders. He is laying on the ground, not floating. Not sure yet if it is trackable or not. Someone has posted elsewhere that he didn't agro and attack right away.
Has anyone got a exact location of where this spawns? I have cleared a couple locations with various different types of Murkgliders, but no luck. if you have the info pls post or /tell me in game torvon.brisnic . Thks
This is distinctly a raid target, and only drop was 'Noxious Secretions', which noone in raid could loot - red 'you are not allowed' message, so we assume it's part of someone's Epic 2.0 and you ned the relevant preflags. 30 of us Time geared struggled a bit but won when it was pulled completely unprepared so it's not TOO tough, watch out for the explosive adds though!
