He's a pretty easy kill for a 65+ necro, can probably be soloed by a 60+ with some skill. Easiest to tap tank him with a pet. Same goes for pretty much all of the DS named.
At 66 as a cleric, and with full mana, he was rather difficult to take down. Took virtually all my mana and the better part of five minutes to take him down, with only Virtue, Armor of the Zealot, Blessing of Reverence, and the lasting effects of Brell's Mountainous Barrier from the day before (virtally self-buffed for it), using only Mark of the Righteous, Unswerving Hammer of Faith, Condemnation, and meleeing with the 63 summoned hammer and Yaulp VI. Summoned and hit me for 262 max. Uses Numbing Touch and Gloom Toxin (name?) infrequently, but enough to know it can use it.
Dropped Issued Scout's Helm, Ruby, and Murkglider Skin.
Ganked me at 65... barely. I had to spend half of my time healing myself, and ended up running oom with myself at 17%, and him at 13%... I had already burned weaponshield to heal myself, and guardian of the forest earlier in the fight... he killed me with 2% left on himself =(
EDIT: I only had about 6k hp, I didn't have any tenacity or stamina, just Focus and Natureskin
As a 68 ranger I soloed this thing...barely. I had 8k hp and raid buffs; at the end of the fight I was at 12%. For some reason it didn't run from me at low health either, it fought to the last. Only thing it dropped was Thistlepoint.
Ok, went back for round two with this ugly thing. I must have been unlucky the first time because I slaughtered it this time, had 45% hp left. Dropped Thistlepoint again as well as a damaged murkglider skin and a slimy murkglider tentacle. Also, the level on this murk may go higher than 53...was dark blue to me at 68.
I HAVE KILLED THIS GUY WITH MY LVL 70 CHANTER MANY, A TIMES HE HAS DROPPED AUGS, THISTLEPOINTS, AND THE THING THAT REALLY AMAZED ME WAS THE SLUGWORMS, NEVER EXPECTED THOSE.
killed him solo, 66 druid, just put my hot on myself, sotw, dotted him a couple times and then nuked as i ran away between summons, used 1 healing potion and 1 self-heal...not a lot of hp so he dies quickly if u keep nuking. Doesn't hit hard enough to be a concern if u have over 4k hp.
I soloed this mafa man to man as a 67 Warrior and kicked his ***.
Actually.........thank god he ran at low health as it was neck and neck. I ended up at 12% health but it was touch and go the whole fight. I don't have great gear, and only 86 AA. Dropped the pissant helm, I just did it for fun.
I went there today and I am guessing there is another mob within that pattern of PH's a Murkglider Wanderer. Not sure if it drops anything just yet. ill repost in a min or two when i kill it. good hunting
KK this guy always spawns in the same place and doesn't roam. Karsor the Mad is on the southern edge of the zone at -1655,-32.00, 165.oo The Murgliders always spawn just to the north a bit near a building. Cant miss them. Usually a Murkglider is there then spaws a Murkglider Skulker , then the HiveGuard. I have had 3 Murky's in a row then the Hiveguard or Skulker. No pattern at all that i can see. Hiveguard can be a pain with summon. Keeps my pet busy. As long as u get a few dots on him but not agro. Skulker and Hiveguard con DB to my 66 Necro. All others are LB or the odd green. Skulker doens't summon so is relitively easy to Dot and DD.
I was in a group of a mage, paladin, cleric. I was pulling, and pulled this 2 times, it summons but doesnt hit hard enough to make a difference in how far you have to go, we were camping the Ukun Gutfeaster, and I was able to get him back to that spot with 50% life, with only 3k hps. We took him down like a demolition crew takes down buildings. he does have a 410hp proc, that made me upset when I got hit with it 3 times when I got back to camp.
