estimated hps on these guys... the ones in pit near DS zoneline have roughly 25,000-27,000 hps depending on level. this is a rough estimation by comparing dmg done by a nuke with the % it removed
There are things known and things unknown and in between is the skull

Confirmed that these do not summon from the 5 or so of these in the valley at the DS zone in.

They have upwards of 30-35k hp, took me about 10 minutes to kill the tough sob, but a relatively safe and easy solo as long as you dont get any adds. Never fell below 50& mana (14 worn FT and KEI). Resisted root often and had partial length on others, but with snare it was cake. got 2% normal xp, dropped skin

Was kiting regular murks in the valley off DS. I was going to leave at 9, and so the group gradually went away... Then, the last group member and I killed our final murkglider for the day. A Dragon Scale Shield dropped off it, so we were going to roll for it but the other group member already had one!! I've killed about 200 or so murkgliders and haven't seen one drop befroe.

Someone told me that the shield and sash to not drop when you hunt the Murkgliders solo. Do you really need a group for the nice drops here? If so, can anyone provide documentation where it says that??

I don't think you need a group for these drops, but it wouldn't surprise me if the drop rate were heavily decreased for soloing. From March thru July '05 I killed WELL over a thousand of these and had *one* Sash drop. That's it. No Shield or Cape.

After soloing the DS Murks over the course of many weeks I have gotten 5 levels and 30 AA's and the only other thing of value that dropped was a Discordant Scoriae and I lost the /ran on that.
No shield, No belt, No cape, no other augs, I just have bad timing I guess...

These mobs aren't quite level 63. In NC today, they all conned either white or yellow to me at 59. So, the levels do vary, and the low end would be 59. Some may be 63, but, if so, I didn't encounter any.

As you might imagine, "a murkglider" dropped "Seeping Murkglider Fluid."
Also, these murkgliders may use either, none or both of the effects listed - shade mantle and gloom toxin. Very rare to see them use both - but you are hereby warned! :)

I have killed about 600 now and no Slugworms or Shield but the cape dropped once at about 500th kill.

I have looted a slugworm for the aug upgrades on on these. Was VERY happy! Woot!

These mobs have never resisted any of my necro spell line (not even once) except for 1 out of 6 poison dots and sometimes snare. They are very slow and even if u get a snare resist you can still stand there and cast one more time. Takes me 2.5 mins to kill every time and I dont have horror and am lvl 65. XP is weird though (bugged?) I get 1%-6% a kill. At random alot. When duoing I get 2-4% and sometimes 1% . When I get 1% my buddy gets 4% :P. So far 450 kills and no shield/ And i have never seen slug worms. I have seen trean flies drop once. And that SV magic 4 aug once.

I wish I had your luck. About 1 out of every 15 mobs resist snare. Not bad. They don't run fast and there is a lot of running room in the valley to make up for it.
Blood of Thule does get resisted more than any other spell I throw at them.
I consistantly get 5% AA experience from each kill. Sweet!

These creatures have about 30k hitpoints. If you stand back far enough, they cant cast on you and you can nuke in relative safety. They rarely resisted snare or root, never resisted druid magic dots and would resist the druid vengence line occasionally. They would never resist Druid fire spells after a fire debuff. Each one takes about 3-4 minutes to kill with Dots. If anyone finds slugworms on these mobs, please post that info here.

I've never even had them resist my fire dots without a fire debuff, but that may in part be due to level difference, not sure.

Even at level 69 without hitting these with Ro's they nearly always partially resist Sylvan Fire. However once de-buffed I was getting full damage.

I had np Landing Any of my dot Arsenal a s anecro. The 30% snare was np at all considering they are so slow lol. Every 5 of 6 casts of poison they would resist.

After killing about 300 murkgliders the Drakescale shield dropped off the murkglider in the 4th static spawn point from the Dranik's Scar zone line in Noble's Causeway. Very easy camp with respawns 19.5 minutes apart.

Not all these guys are 63. My group killed about a million of these and only 2 conned even to me at 62
just an FYI
also, they resisted turgurs about 25% of the time and I had a VERY hard time landing any poison DoTs. Didn't try Dis. DoTs as we were killing too fast

Had a friend con some, they ranged from 60-62.
Need Malo(s) for poison dots to land regularly. Dis dots are a waste of mana :)
Our shammy was Malos'ing before slow, just to make sure it stuck on the first attempt and to help the nukers/dotters.

also drops a battleleaders cloak of blah blah blah for me the other nite, dont remember the name , but its all meele / hybrid's, 14 ac 14 str 14 sta 14 agl 9 wiz 9 int 100 hp 100 mana 100 end 10 to all resists, 2 regen and 4 damage sheild. hope it helps.
