For the level and considered difficulty of this mob it has some horrible drops. You would think that a mob that is many times harder than the trash names and casts chaotica would drop better than a 40hp 50mana mask with recommended level 60 (WTF?) and a pretty lame flute... Maybe if a nice aug was in the loot table I could understand but this has got to be the biggest blunder I am familiar with... Avoid this mob unless you like to not be productive!

This is probably the best droppable flute in game that can be used from level 1. Stats don't matter as much as the instrument mod does when it comes to instruments.
-The Irestone Flute of Deathdance has a req level of 45 and a 2.4 mod.
-Flute of the Sacred Glade drops off Prince Thirneg in Plane of Growth, which will require a lot of trash clearing, and again it is only a 2.4 mod.
-Lyssa's Darkwood Piccolo from the named golems in Plane of Fear with no stats and a 2.4 mod.
There are a few other decent flutes, but most of them have req levels, are no trade, have a lower mod, or are quite difficult to obtain. A good wind instrument is important to a leveling bard for their charm and mez line. I will most likely camp this guy for my twink bard, as it has a very high mod and seems to be a simple camp.

To get to him go straight in to main circle room take the winding staircase up to the first left ramp his ph is at the top of that ramp and wanders down the walkway and then back to the top of the ramp.

was killed with 67 chanter and 64 wiz he has 2 aoe's the one listed above and another that i didn't get the name of. dropped mask.

Can anyone confirm the bracer drop? I've killed this guy 10 to 15 times. Mask all but 2 times when the flute dropped.

Bracer of the Beaconguard is a VERY rare random drop off apparently any named, as I received one off Inventor Krang and somebody in group said thought theirs dropped from Revolter Yernom. When I got mine Krang dropped the Corroded Girplan Helm which is his common drop, along with bracer.

This flute is definately a common drop - got it 3 times in 4 kills. Recieved the mask on the 1st kill, and that was the only time we saw that.

This guy was dark blue to me (65 ranger). Max hit on my shammy was around 540.

I could have sworn this guy conned blue to me at 65. We killed him with just me (warrior) and a shaman. His AE was a mellow HP/Mana DOT called Chaotica. He didn't hit for more than like 250 the whole time I was tanking him. Dropped the mask for us that I submitted.
He was SUPER EASY.
Oh, we found him way way up the ramps around the spire, probably about 2/3 the way to the top.

hits for 500s confirmed, we killed him 3 times and max hit was around 540 - altogether fairly easy as he has few hps. The dot curse however is a real pain if nobody in your group has remove curse -

single grp'able mob. drops some neat attuneable armor. also drops lesser runes for lvl 66 spells i believe...
is most likely lvl 69 or higher. at lvl 66 conned red.
