Solo'd him tonight with merc cleric. 70 monk, 12k hp/2100ish ac, 400AA. Fun fight and pretty close at the end, but mostly due to early errors on my part (managing the merc).
It's easiest to find him by zoning in from the Western Waste side. Bear left and you can't miss him. Non-aggro until triggered unless someone just failed him.
His AE rampage was enough to make the merc cleric waste mana self-healing a bit too much but with a little manual control mana worked out just fine. Her last CH finished her mana and convinced him to run at 6%.
Highest hits I saw were 1300 - 1400, but he misses ALOT against a 70. Most hits were in the 300-800ish range.
Pretty long fight thanks to his sick regen (long enough to mend/def/kick disc 3x), but just shy of the cleared mobs respawning, so it worked out really well.
Molo'd with 75 Monk + Cleric merc. Monk is about 13.4k HP and 2.4k AC with merc and self buffs. 120AA and CA/CS is 4/4. Killed everything from WW zone up to Wygrish then hailed him and ran him back to WW zone line. Outran easily with RUN7, but hailed probably 5 steps away from him to start. The entire key to this fight is DPS. He hardly ever hit me for over 1k and missed a LOT, but does have a nice chunk of hp and regen. I'm wielding Wolfclaws (27/18) and Barrelbreaker (34/25) and most of my AA are DPS. Burned all DPS discs that I could during fight. Probably took about 7-8 minutes or so. Merc ended with about 4 bubs of mana left. Only had to throw a heal on me every so often. Wasn't a very tough fight overall, just need some DPS.
All your belly blowing and ranting and raving on how well ya did... who gives a sh*t be brillant add some location numbers or simple to follow directions.
Clear all the mobs to the WW zone line. When he runs he runs that way to zone line.Did this guy with 67 monk and 79 shammy and pet.Monk tanked.9k buffed.Had shammy pull with malo then tried to slow.took 5 casts to get him slowed.by that time monk had aggro so i clicked shammy 2.0 and HoT on monk.Seemed to work fine.Just keep puma on group.took about 5 minutes to kill.
Does anyone know what the respawn timer is on this mob? I have 3 Monks in my guild all working on their 1.5 and would like to know how long it will be between fights? Thanks
75 Monk - Lonewolff - Swords of Destruction

It's 3.5 hours. I had a monk kill it literally right before I arrived. So I started the timer and went afk for some time checking back periodically and I actually saw him pop.
72 War - 12kHP (He wasn't buffed with a cleric buff). - No defensive AA's. Once slowed and crippled (both landed very easily by a 72 Shammy) a simple 1400pt HoT kept the tank alive with a little spot healing from time to time.
You have plenty of time to get casting ranges setup as he isn't agro until you hail him. At which point the tank starts whacking away.
AE Rampage - during the whole fight I got hit about 4 times as a 75 monk for 300's. Basically if you have more than 5k hp buffed... chances are you'll last the duration without any healing.
You do however need 'some' DPS (3-4 melee) he regens quickly.
(Rough Group) All geared with the Bazaar's finest. 75 Monk - 12khp 72 War - 12khp 72 Shammy - 8kmana 72 Cleric - 7kmana 65 Cleric - 6kmana
75 sham ( 11.5 hp unbuffed) 70 monk ( Dodh gear) duoed easily. Tanked with super(gimp)monk the whole time. He CAN hit for 1500, but its rare. AE ramp is true also, but very short range. Turgurs/cripple landed no problem, 7 min fight.
ok just did this with my 65 monk and a mage friend mage is 75 and uber as hell.. as monki did not do crap but get fight started mage powned mob but with no slower used almost all his mana but in the end i got drop .......................
Don't know if he got nerfed or something but he is no wuss. Tried him with 70shm 70 war and 67 monk and got a spanking - he has HUGE regen. Brought a 70 cleric and swapped war for sk for round 2 and dropped him, but not easily by any means.
Max hit was just under 1700 on sk, and highly resistant to sk and shammy dots. Does ae ramp alot, but does miss alot. And did i mention HUGE regen?
But I got my half a book so I'm happy
EDIT: Forgot to mention, on both attempts something strange happened with his aggro. The tanks were doing all their usual aggro getting tricks, but at about 50% on both occasions this guy decided to start beating on me instead of the tank (no ping-pong either, was complete switch). Easy enough to fd to drop the aggro, but unusual thing to happen so I thought I'd mention it.
He is not fully slowable, but he is a wuss. He ramps a lot, but mostly misses. With 3 chars, druid healing and war tanking, i had the druid on the other side of the lake straight accross from him. I had to succor, because 3 people were kicking Darkwater's (enchanter 1.5) butt, and the AE was hitting all 3 of my chars. And he is rootable.
I saw him soloed by a lev 68 high end GoD geared monk. it looked like this: monk stands up from FD and starts whackign on him, when monk gets to about 20% he FDs and regenerates to full, then reapeats. as it turned out monk had faster regeneration rate than mod did - took him about 4 hours to complite the solo however =) (no i didn't standed next to him for 4 hours staright i just caught the last 15 min of it and monk told me he been doign this for last 4 hours or so)
That was only possible for about the first few weeks after the Monk 2.0 quest was found. During that time NONE of the quest mobs for the monk 2.0 epic had any regeneration. So during that time it was possible for the monk to solo the first 4 mobs, and even do the next few or at least with at least a much smaller group.
i had 8 people for this fight. war, pal, cleric, monk, monk, dru, shm, mage
port to CS and run to SG. easiest to succor, but moving through zone only takes a couple min if you are familur with it. when by WW, just clear all the mobs around it moving out till you find wygrish sitting by the water. he didnt not agro me till i hailed him, at which point he stood and attacked. He does quad for 1550 but misses like crazy, i could have easily tanked him. his rampage hits the top 2 on hate list beside the one tanking him and he does tend to rampage a decent ammount. also has good hp and high regen, but still an easy encounter. shm got slow on him at about 45% life. he enraged at 8% and ran at 6%. very straight forward encounter. ill speculate that the times he agroed on sight are when a monk started the encounter and then zoned/evaced/died before it was over. definatly 1 groupable with a decent tank and cleric, might as well have a druid there for port to CS and succor to WW, though back up heals wont be that much of an issue. slower would be optional since it can be very difficult to land. rest just dps.
We did him today on Innoruuk, 3 groups with 2 clerics and a 9k HP twink tank as MT. Overkill, I'd say one or two groups with a mix out of VT / elemental gear can take him down. He hits for max. 1550, is slowable, rampages. He also aggroes on sight. Drops 1/2 of Kaiaren's diary.

Met this guy at the zone in from Western Wastes. He wacked my 58 druid and killed him with one hit. I was slightly damaged going in and he hit me for 1550 damage. Had a bunch of level 60's trying to take him and they were dying too. Stay back....stay way back.

Went into Siren's, succored across to go into Western Wastes like I always have and *WHAM*. This guy whacked my little 43 Druid 1 time with the help of a Massive Walrus before I knew it and she was gone. He said something about not having the Celestial Mark and he would fight to the end to keep from loosing the diary.
