I've been to the Plane of Hate six times to try and get the Essence of a Vampire drop (for the Enchanter epic). Since I'm not sure of what the drop rates are, I decided to keep track myself. So far, I've seen 4 Apothic armor drops, 8 Insidious armor drops, 2 Wands of Swiftness, and countless Vampire Dust. No Essence of a Vampire dropped yet. If/when I get the drop, I'll post a follow-up to this.
went on a hate raid last nite.. five or six mage items dropped from these guys.. if this is the stuff your lookin for stat wise this sure is a good way to get it .. also since most raids consist of one to four mages you guys have great chance of gettin em!

Went to Hate for my first time today and we pulled lot of these and first male one drops robe. Quick who in zone and looky looky i'm only mage there. VERY NICE DAY in hate for me

If I were on a raid that allowed a warrior to roll on a dropable enchater item, they would be minus one chanter, after a HUGE train and watchign the chanter gate >:(

I been to Hat for the firs time yesterday and hardly any of these guys where pulled.. where do the spawn is it on the first floor only or on the 2nd floor too?

IMO all class specific gear should be NO DROP. Think about camping PoH for 8 hrs waiting for the spawn and have it drop that Apothic Robe you always wanted, and then loose the roll to a warrior. I know I would be frustrated.

Ummmm... last I checked Apothic armor is No Drop so why would a warrior get to roll if a mage present needed it?

Remind me not to play on Solusek Ro then. On Fennin Ro, standard looting rules are NBG (need before greed). Unless every mage in the raid already had these or better, there's no way the Warrior would be allowed to roll on these. It works well for everyone. For example, I was playing with Ry'gorr last night and we got the BP from Chief Ry'gorr (yeah, we got wiped out by the Avengers) and the Enchanter rolled. Even though he won the roll, only the Warrior and Shaman could use it so grats to the Shaman!

Last night, on my first hate raid, Vampire dust dropped twice (2x) and I think 2 pieces of apothic dropped. No chanter gear. Our 60 mage got the apothic crown and I think boots. For all yall people 46- thinkin you gonna go up there and get your Ethereal Mist, Apothic, Woven Shadow, or insidious armor like you loot rat whiskers off large rats..you are smokin somethin. BTW I was up in hate for 7 hours with about 35 people, 6 clerics, each commanding their own group.
To the guy that lost his robe to rotting..we had our only rogue go LD right before a Woven Shadow BP dropped. He didnt get back in time to loot it, ouch.

Is the Apothic gear and such really that good anymore? I mean, with the Kael and other Velious quests now netting bigger and better stuff, is there still a niche for planear stuff?

In all the stories everyone talks about how hard this stuff is to get and how they are disappointed when other people undeserving of the stuff get it. My eq was never that good cause i could never get enough cash or levels to get the stuff myself. I got a crystaline robe of the drach queen but thats about it! Im kinda in despair about this, maybe a patch will increase drop rates in PoH, etc. (wish) my focus items are cool too : ) ive got alot of stuff for my epic too hope i get some of this stuff

I know with gods and dragons its like 1 week but what about mobs that drop the planer armor? Is it 1 day or 1 week?

In the Plane of Hate, the static spawns have an 8 hour respawn time and the roamers have a 2 hour respawn time. Roamers include Revultant Rats, Ire Ghasts, and Loathing Liches. I have seen a couple of clerics roaming before, but I think that was a bug. All other mobs in Hate are static.

Does the essence of a vampire ever drop? Been to 13 hate raids and I'm frankly sick and tired of it. THE THING NEVER DROPS!

It dropped on our PoH raid...unfortunatly we only had one chanter at that point...and he had his already. So...it rotted...It does drop though, just need to be lucky I guess.

WTF! No, it drops in the plane of hate. I don't think Verant is going to be nice enough to make this SUPER rediculously hard quest have a epic piece in a easy zone like mistmoore.

Was on my 6th Hate raid a few days back. Made it all the way to the rev houses and almost everyone got wiped in a train of 6 or so of them. One of the revs dropped the apothic robe, they rezzed me as fast as possible to loot it, and JUST as I was crawling towards the corpse with rez effects on, *poof*, the corpse and the robe rotted. In my 50+ levels of playing this had to be the biggest heartbreaker ever...

Uh you have no clue what the Plane of Hate (PoH aka hate) is do you? Let me explain...
You have to be at least level 46 or it is impossible to get into the zone, this includes anyone dumb enough to go too early, die in hate, lose level and try to get a res that isn't enough experience to put you back in 46.
It takes a wizard to port you in, no droods don't cut the mustard here, you NEED a wizard and each port in costs one 150pp gem you buy deep in Neriak.
The robe is NO DROP meaning if you own one and you aren't level 46 or higher either you lost some levels or you were around a LONG time ago and got REALLY lucky.
Typical hate raid involves 3 or more FULL groups and even if it was dropable it's enchanter gear and enchanters are like gods in hate next to monks and clerics and if I was one I'd destroy the robe before letting some level 29 have it, you gotta go in and earn yours boy.
So for now go dream of an oracle robe, they go for 500pp on Terris-Thule now, and work on getting yourself up to level 47 before you wish for one of these.

Nearly all correct.
Hate stones cost 210pp each minimum (with 223 CHA).
I agree with the point though. I wish they had made more items no-drop, but I'm at least very thankful that they made the planes equipment (for the most part) no drop.

actually they nerfed the prices of the reagents for PoH and PoA ports, Hate stones are now down to 105plat with 240cha (and fyi prices don't change due to charisma after like 140 or so, so don't brag about how cheap you got something due to your 300cha... it doesn't make a difference after 140)

Accually, selling/buying price is affected by charisma AND faction. For example, I can go to Oggok and sell by bone chip for (this is a made up price) 8cp with warmly faction and 105 charisma. Then, I can go to Thurgadin where I am max ally with 105 charisma with the same bone chip and sell it for about 1sp. Therefore, if I have good faction in a place where I need something, I don't need charisma coming out my butt (Neriak was pretty easy to get to max ally with wine quest.)

IMO there should be more no drop stuff. Earn your stripes! Would reduce farming, and make tradeskills worth something (nowdays only jewelry and velious tailoring is worthwhile).

I also think it's good that you finally have to earn something in this darn game. Too easy for a lvl 1 to be equiped like a lvl 50. Cheapens the game if you ask me.
I'm all in favor for NO DROP stuff (also prevents those damn farmers from holding camps others can get XP off).

The powder is for the enchanters FA quest so next time it drop tell an enchater I am sure they would apreciate it. Expecially if your a tank the effect on the item will make you drool.

I was in hate last monday and the first male rev pulled(pulled before maestro) dropped the robe which i won with a 50/50 chance cuz one of the 3 mages had one already. All 3 of us mages got 1 piece of apothic. 1 piece even rotted up there cuz we all 3 had the kilt.

So ya all know, Revenants in hate are VERY rarely pulled, it takes (on average) 7 hours to get to the revenant houses in hate, from the break to the first house about 7 hours, thats including having to kill a MOB stronger then the god innuurok or however it is spelled, damn maestro with his AE life tap is no joke, and rev houses are past him, there are about 5 random spawns earlier in that zone that CAN have revs, usualy do not but they can, and when ya finaly do get to the rev houses after long hard hours, most of the people in the raid leave cause all their armor is done since only revenants are left, the revs very rarely drop armor (go verant!) and then, in my personal experience tons of mages just LOVE to join the raid right after maestro dies, so ya go from bein the only mage there for 7 hours, then all the sudden there is 5 mages there and ya gotta share with all them, and basicly get screwed =), verant really needs to move about 3 of the 10 revenant houses near the port in spot in my oppinion...balance things out, i've been to hate 35sh times and made it to rev houses 5 times...that is rediculous, 30 trips to hate, where my armor drops, with virtualy no chance of even gettin armor

Umm...I went to hate last nite 7/9/01 the clerics were all killed and it took eh 20mins to clear to D and we pulled about 60-70 REvs More Female then Male without pulling Maestro wernt very raid on my raid...

Ummm, why not just use the points system? This way the people who put in the time and effort into a full raid, get the items, and not people who showed up just to be greedy. IE: You show up at meeting place on time, 2pt. Your stay an hour, 1 pt each. If an item drops, you auction it for points. :end IE We do various versions of this on Morell and Fennin. It works great and people who bust their butts get the stuff they earned.

Just yesterday evening, we had a hate raid. When we stopped, we found a revenant near the safe sport and it droped an apothic kilt. :-)

It depends on how hate is pulled. Personally, I am halfway done with my armor set and I can only remember one time when we got all the way to the Rev houses and had to pull Maestro beforehand.

Ok.. this is bad news.. I've had my heart set on an apothic robe for as long as i can remember and the thought of going to hate that often and not getting a lookin on the loot because its not for my class sounds just horrible.. If any of you Verant staff set yours eyes on this pls do what Illia has said and try to even out the score on the drops for us Mages/Enchanters... PLEASE

I have been to the POH about 1200ish times, and now i have my full set of Apothitic, 1200ish times it took us!! maestro is hell, i will tell all u newbs that, that lifetap AE spell really kills me, and same thing happened to me with first poster, Khalan, but there has been one warrior in our guild that has always been there for me, argueing over it has been my 1000th time and i deserve the robe. I used to go to hate with every guild that had a raid, now i never want to go there again. I have full apothitic, and just got a Manna Robe from trakky (trakanon), but only use that when i need Mana Conversion, i have tons of cool items, Drachnid Thyxl, Book of Obolus, GBS (Glowing Black Stone) and really enjoy it without that "missing piece" of apothitic. The way I got the robe was really strange. We fight maestro and kill him, i had about 300health from his AE lifetaps, the guild pulls about 3 reverants, all female reverants, i survive that, pet doing great, then they pulled a male reverant and it dropped roll, the roll was very strange, 1-32000, yes it was annoying, my friend rolled a 31892 and i was like gasping, he was 47 and this was his first trip to hate, so i roll and get a 31992. Then some idiot (newbie plane puller) pulls some of those damn Loathing Litches all the way to our camp spot, it kills me, a 60 high priest (cleric) rezzes me and i come back, the corpse dissapears, i was so mad. So we are finished our raid, the 47 got apothitic ROBE, sleeves, kilt and crown, me i got nothing cause i had full apothitic but robe. We go to wizzie spires to leave, on the way back a warrior (46!!) gets a INDO BP! i feel like ****, we are at the wizzie spires, we are porting out AND THE REVERANTS CORPSE APPEARS! i loot the robe and i go happy, thats my story! =)

good story, i wish that could even happen to me. ive cleared revs 10 times now and ive seen ONE good piece of insidious drop, the sleeves any other time its been the bracer. cleric legs have roted even the cleric BP this SUCKS even the mobs out a little so i can get some armor, 1 bracer a raid doesnt cut it when theirs up to 4 enchanters up there with me ive goten the bracer once worst piece of plane armor in the game i can make better stat stuff with electrum, i guess thats what i get for killing 51 mobs while clerics have almost full sets from one trip up
