Just successfully duoed the event with my 85 Ranger and Boxed 83 Druid. This is an event I've been trying off and on since level 70 and this run I was never in danger of running out of time.

Well I was messing around in this zone looking for some of the Pixtt's and jumped on top of the dome. Apparently she cast a Deathtouch on my that hit me for 75000 dmg.
After that she said 'Those not welcome will be destroyed.'

Finally took it out with a few good folks. After we took out two snakes, the real Pixtt Xictic Krvyne spawned. Rain of Poison was no longer cast during the real battle, likewise for dispels and mez. I stick with my assumption in an earlier post stating that the rooted snakes cast separate spells, but the unrooted version does not.
It did enrage, and the shaman announce that it was slowed. Could not confirm its melee hits.

I'm making a guess on this, based on my last two attempts.
Each Xictic casts a separate spell. One of them debuffs, another one casts Rain o Poison, another one casts the mez. I'm not sure what #4 would be, if any.
When we did it the first time, we took out 2 snakes before the event timer expired. How we lived 28 minutes in that dome, I'm not sure. It seemed like Rain of Poison continued to fire off with 2 snakes left. I believe the mez disappeared after the second one vanished. However, the tank did mention getting mez'd when 3 snakes were standing.
I think as the snakes despawn and respawn, specific snakes despawn according to the AE that it casts. Perhaps debuffer despawns, followed by mezzer, followed by DoT. Then the final snake simply turns into the mean Xictic.
This is a conjecture. I won't know until I go back, which may take months.
I'm so glad that step 1 of a quest is harder than steps 2-7, maybe 8!

I would consider a level 70 GoD mob to be a raid mob.

Not necessarily - a lvl 70 GoD mob can easily be grouped - i dont know anything about this encounter tho, but i would quess you could do it with 1 solid grp.

Pixtt Xictic Krvne now casts Rein of Posion once the four snakes becomes targetabe. (200hp/tick posion -200 AE)
No where to hide from AE that I could tell.

wasn't too bad at all. she has an asston of hps but oh well.
biggest thing is, don't have people jackin it in the middle platform area when ya kill the archer, or the snake spawns will rape them.
we did loot etc and had everyone out with time to spare. was at least 5 minutes after all gone that i was waiting to tl a ld beast when councilman told me i was slow and ported me.
kyv dropped a melee mask, then our clerics died on snakes. 2nd time dropped caster mask, and the **** dropped wand of stone mastery and quest robes.
fun, easy, yeah

While we were discussing loot division, Councilman Sislono Nislan announced that we were taking too long, and he teleported us out before all the loot was looted. Fortunately only a sucky 2hb was left behind. But anyway, be very quick with loot decisions, as you only get a couple of minutes after the boss dies.

We tried doing this event tonight, first off you get 1 wave of adds that are db cons easily killable, then you get another wave which is the same just a few more mobs, after that 3 guys spawn rooted, you kill them then an archer in the middle spawns he was yellow con, he is rooted in place, cannot be mezzed, can be slowed hits for 1700+. After he drops, she spawns and hits very fast and very hard, 3800 was max she hit me for. The archer did drop a mask and a couple quest items, but we whiped on her before any of it was looted.
