Now that EQ is F2P, I've dusted off my old lvl 59 Bard and have been revisiting old zones looking for those legendary drops which were auctioned at the EC tunnels, back in the day.
Zoned into Najena to get some J-Boots for my 45 Monk alt. Nothing on track, went into the locked octagonal room and saw the Fabled Drelzna was not up, just 3 necros, and so I cleared the spawn with my tier I tank merc. Fabled Drelzna popped a few minutes later. Three times she killed my merc - very close fight, matched HP all the way (I must buy a better merc). Even at 6% she made mincemeat out of my Bard.
I came back with a bot 66 Cleric. HP buffs for my Bard and the merc, and the fight was easy. Twisted haste, overhaste, rune/atk and a DS.
Dropped everything listed, plus some trash. Waited for a few minutes, and got a full spawn of necros in the room, no Drelzna. Then next spawn Fabled Drelzna popped again, rinse and repeat, dropped all the same, as before - happy bot cleric. 2 pairs of Fabled J-Boots in about 25 minutes.
On the way out of Najena I got lost and fell down a hole into a prison cell. Luckily I have 240 lock picking and had some picks handy. This could be a real PITA otherwise.
Now I'm going to attempt Anklesmasher.

solo'd her with my 55 mage and a healer merc easily. don't know if they nerfed her or not.... sounds like it if you read some of the other posts.

Hey all,
Camped her for about an hour and a half today. Shes in a octagonal room in the South east area. Bloodstained Key from Rathyl opened the door. Killed her easily, she conned green to me-75 level.

Been camping her for a few hours now, killed PH about 4 times, her about 6 or 7 I think. Not sure, anyways, easy solo with a self buffed 71 druid who is behind in spells by a level or two. Backed into corner so my spells wouldn't get knocked, dotted her, had 2 DS's up, and let her play. Had to heal a time or two, but no biggy. Drains most of my mana, but respawn is 10 min on her or PH.
Soloed With 66 Monk with all the adds in room went down easy one HoT potion and inner flame used
meriting derisive laughter or scorn as absurdly inept

I have been camping Drelzna's room for a few hours and only the regular Drelzna spawns. Do Fabled mobs not always spawn on the server? Like is it a special period of time when SOE decides to have Fabled mobs?

They generally only spawn during EQ's anniversary period each year, from March to April or so.

I soloed her with a gear-challenged 71 Necro.
My 67 level pet tanked while I healed sporatically with Touch of Death.
I threw some DoTs on her and feigned...she did not seem to mind.

Along with the rest of the fabled she's back. Took my 52 earth pet down in about 20 seconds. Lucky for me I got gate off.

Whats her spawn time? I have a group in Najena in her room camping it. we've only killed her once and that was about 45 mins ago. we're [/u]still[u] waiting for her to pop up for the second time.

so: 5 people get boots, i get traveler pack, warrior got robe (collectible), mage got parts of epic, and it all happened in 2 hours :D

Got the boots for my monk and 2 other friends last night on zek server. I soloed her very easy with 70 druid. Only used about 40% of my mana pool.
In drelzna's room.
It's marked on most ingame maps, and has been in that room since release.

There is a whole key system to the lair of Najena.
Long drawn out way ---
Various creatures and NPC's carry the keys to access other areas within the lair. I will use the keys to describe how to move through the zone.
The ogre guards and Moosh carry a key ring, which will give you access to the prison cells.
The first monster in the key sequence is Bonecracker.
Bonecracker is an approximately level 25 undead froglok who lives in a room with two lovely dark elf necromancers.
He gives you the dull bone key.
The ogre captain must then be killed to get the shiny metal key.
These first two keys are the only keys that aren't No Rent (i.e. they won't disappear when you log) so hang onto them.
The shiny metal key is then used to open the cell outside of Rathyl's room.
The dull bone key is then used to access Rathyl's area, where you can fight Rathyl. Note you need both keys to get to Rathyl.
Killing him will give you access to the bloodstained key for Drelzna's room.
Then you can access Drelzna's room, who is slightly higher level, and used to spawn the Journeyman Boots.
Now you can get the golden crescent key from Drelzna will allow you to access the room with Najena herself.

Nice guide to the keys there. For the rest of the st00pid people out there (like me), you have to actually hold the key on your cursor to open the doors *sigh*
haha i remmeber this mob. I got my pair of Fabled Jboots on my SK and there was a group of people there we were jsut killing it then looting nice organized line. There was only 1 person loeft to get them who happaned to be my friend so i couldnt leave lol. So she normally spawns like every 2 or 3 pops. so last person who needs it and we are wqaiting for like 2 and 1/2 hours cuz every pop is some necro. My friend was gettin pretty pissed off and was bout to petition it to a gm (like they would do anything) and he was gonna leave and then pop shes up. was jsut funny during the whole 2.5 hour wait period cuz he was gettin so pissed off.

Its been this way for at least the last week on the Terris Thule server, no more fabled najena or fabled drelzna.
I was down there for 6 spawns 1 time and 5 the other without any fabled mobs, a group was there later and saw 5 pops with no fabled either.

Hi. Last night group looted the guard keyring and 3 keys (Bloodstained key off Rathyl, Shiny Metal key off Ogre Captain, Dull Bone key off Bonecracker) and we still couldn't get access to the Najena Room which is supposedly where the fabled drelzna is found. Can anyone help and let me know what else we needed to do. Thanks Safo

Just took her out with a 65 Pally (5600 HP with just temp and Brells) and a 58 Cleric (3500 Mana unbuffed) and only used 60% of my mana in heals. She did hit for 690 and hit me with "wriths in the grip of Agony" several times for up to 850
I solo'd it with my bot chanter. Didn't feel like bringing in my warrior and druid. Anyway if you have gnome illusion you can sneak into the room that is locked where you get the bloodstained key.
oh yeah. Respawn is 18 minutes and 55 seconds

Tough fight for a group of 3. 47 shaman, 50 cleric and 50 warrior. Had her to 11% no issues, than warrior got feared, after fear wore off cleric missed CH by 1 sec. Dead warrior = Party wipe. If the warrior wasn't feared or another DPS class present she would have fallen! She was a red con to all.
So you don't have to be 10 levels higher than her to take her out.

Shaman 2.4k mana

She will summon a pet if she spawns and no one is in the room. She can fear and HT. Enrages at around 10% health left.
We had 7 PH's spawn in a row before the 1st The Fabled Drelzna spawned. Then she spawned 2 more times in a row. We all got boots and turned over the camp to the next group in line.
The spawn time is around 18 to 19 mins.
A bloodstained key is needed to open the door to get to the room where The Fabled Drelzna spawns.

EQPC: Necro of the 77th Skull-Povar (Morden Rasp)I would like to add about how hard Drelzna now is: she does indeed hit for up to 690, however, I think she hits *very* little, because I found her much easier then for instance the Drakes in a level 65 DoN mission, or even the Fabled Grimfeather which is supposed to be lower level then Drelzna.
She does a HT at the beginning but after that she rarely hits. I slow her off course, and she can be partially slowed, but even then. My cleric had to HoT my ass only twice, and I am a level 66 BL with about 1240 AC and 6k HP buffed up. Not uber.

I went there with my group and killed her 3 times in a row, back to back spawns on 18 minute timer. The next day I went back and killed her 3 more times, again back to back spawn. then all of a sudden the 4th time "a Necromancer" spawned, like the other 2 spawns in the room. 5th and 6th time, same thing, "a Necromancer". Does she have a placeholder after all? Was I just insanely lucky with 6 out of 6 Fabled Drelzna's the first time around?

Yes, either "a Necromancer" or the regular Drelzna could be the PH.
I have gotten about a dozen boots in 2 nights. 3 Fableds spawn in a roll seemed normal as to my experience.

Killed her, got a pair of boots and the keys. Then got 3 more pairs for friends.
I dun have great gears ( 1.8k ac and 8.9k hp unbuffed ) but I can solo her with the help of disciplines.

Conned blue to 56 Druid, and above data says 55. She's a rough fight, but doable by a couple of 60ish people if you have some decent DPS and slow. She doesn't seen to have any unusual resists as slow landed easily as well as nuke (both magic based btw). 3 60 people or 2 65+ should make her real easy to kill.

Wow!!! 64 Mage zoned in to see who was trying to get the fabled boots. Ran just passed the 2 ogre gurds, turned the corner and "WHAM" i was at 70%. My pet got agro right away and the Drelzna pet died hitting my DS. I memmed another heal and started a 2 heal rotation, threw my host of the elements, couple heals, nuke, couple heals, nuke... my pet died when mob hit 2%, Luckily i channeled through to get a 2sec nuke off. VICTORY!!! I "ran" out with 30% health and 35% mana.

I don't remember what the spawn time was last year when I got some fabled boots for the mains on both my accounts, but tonight as I'm there getting a set for an alt, both Drelzna's room and Rathyl's room are respawning at a shade under 10 minutes. If it did used to be 17, I salute the change!

Much stronger indeed! Decided I'd try the camp as a 56 beastie... bad idea. She conned dark blue, took my pet (fully buffed) out in about 10 seconds and hit me for 546, 199 damage and 113 bash damage. Needless to say I ran away like a little school girl.

A rogue could pick any door in this zone. Including Najena's room.

Wrong went down with a group and my rogue with lockpick up at 175 could not unlock the door you gotta do the work and get the key......sry
Drezlna was easy, only real tough part was waiting in a room and not going mad lol. well worth it if you dont have run 3 and what not. i waited till all the hype was over and no one was around and camped them for my n00b pally. im very glad i did it cause now i aint got to spend the money on sow potions. i got these cause i couldnt cast sow as a pally, and they work out just fine for that.

Slowable =D - used Enc Forlorn Deeds after tash dunno about shammy/bst slows but would guess they will land too.
Easy fight for a 60+ char but if I remember correctly a bit of an undercon and lots of HP with nasty proc/harmtouch??
Enc pet whooped her no problem and I was nuking, fight lasted less than 1-2mins and I had sat there for 6 long hours /sigh.
Oh just to note she drops another key you need to get back out of the room if you don't have gate. Rogue cannot pick the door to her room as far as I know.
