The Elf skeleton is found behind the door which is the entrance to the 3rd level of Befallen. He's a rather nasty fellow for his level, and is one of the few skeletons who will run when low on HP.

Hits between 36-38, bashes for 8

Spawn time is 5 minutes 54 seconds (59 ticks). Has a PH of a dread bone. The elf skeleton spawns about twice as much as the PH does, so chances are you'll get the elf more often than not.

Approx. drop rates after 21 kills:
Mallet Head - 25%
Mallet Hilt - 20%

Anyone know exactly what the placeholder for this is. I camped for about 4 hours with two other people and we saw this guy ONCE (no, we were the only three in the zone...). We had to of killed everything in Befallen that we saw at least twice.

Depends how deep you want to go, but I'd advise having invis V undead or a necro with you.

I killed him a few times tonight. He conned even to me at lvl 18, and he was spawning every 6 minutes. He now drops a mallet head. Out of the 10 times I have killed him this is all he dropped. Sometimes nothing.

Anyone know?

If the parts he drops are magic? I play on Firiona Via, and it has server wide Trivial loot code.

Just want to know so I don't waste my time camping something for only a +5 MR item.

He conned blue to my 19 rogue so they must have lowered his lvl since they got rid of the ring , maybe to contribute to that fact or that he takes longer to spawn now.

Damn with the changed Befallen the spawn time of the elf skeleton is now 2 hours!!! Was 6 minutes before. No more easy to get CH reapers =(((

it is still 6minutes(or less) he has a PH either a dread skelle or a putrid, but i killed him 4times in less than an hour

ok i camped this guy for a bit and want to clear up the level range he conned green at 26 which would be the 17-18 range but when i was there before he conned up to a yellow back when i was 23 so he did go up to at least 24 HOWEVER with all the patches recently for this zone making it harder then super easy it is hard for me to tell you if they messed with his range any since the yellow was before the first patch that buffed up the place.
Just telling you what i know from experience but the only way for you guys to find out about him is to smack him around yourself for a bit if you are still low enough to pull aggroes (as you see i am not) then beware cuz as you see very early on in this zone there is a ton of undead to help him and by the way i have never seen him run from me like those ice bones do

isn't it odd how dorfs, gnomes, humans, etc. all have the same skeletal structure? i mean, all of teir skeletons look the same!

Lol all you people out there that say he hits hard i have a lvl 25 bard that beat the crap out of him about 10 times already but i do still get xp the only thing i get xp from except from the mummy guy which never pops. But does anyone know what that mallet head it for that he drops it looks like a silver bar.

This was the only thing in the place that aggroed on my 30th level DESK. He hits hard too, took me down two bubs of health. I made the mistake of continuing to chase the wisp that was running from me while I ignored this guy, until I saw the damage he was dealing.

I am a lvl 20 paladin and I killed him AND an ice bone AND a greater skelly all at the same time! didn't even have to lay hands, so his lvl must vary a lot. not sure, but pretty sure he conned green, but got xp.

I encountered 2 in befallen last night, each of the elf skeletons con'd high blue to a 20 shaman. Throw in some spells and melee with him.. no prob. He did wind up killing an over zealous enchanter though.

I have seen him as both red and yellow to my lvl 16 monk. Took 4 lvl 16 to bring him down. Not a nice guy

Elf Skeleton was high green to my druid at 30 and gave experience. I've heard he ranges toward 25

This guy was still blue to my level 24 paladin so he caps out a little more than 17. Very agressive.
