Thanks to evilsofa at the safehouse for discovering a better way to do this event. Did it with 15 people.

1. Get a raid force of 2 groups in front of the IIP building, and kill all of the mobs outside the building. Do not enter, nor kill, anything inside the building yet.
2. Turn in the Poisoned Fruit and Serving Tray to Abena Taifa and wait for her to go get killed inside.
3. Clear the easy stuff in the first room.
4. If you turned in the Poisoned Fruit and Serving tray and waited til Abena dies, the Constructs of War won't attack. Without the poison, they will all attack, and tether at the main door of the building.
5. Enter IIP's chamber, kill the first Anuek Controller, kill the Colossus of War, Kill the other Anuek Controller, then kill IIP. You can kill the last annuek after killing IIP if you so choose.

Just to expand on this, and add my experience, which is slightly different:

1) We cleared the mobs outside the temple.
2) Turned in the Poisoned Fruit and Serving Tray. This seemed to pacify the Constructs of War, as stated.
3) We killed a few trash mobs, like 3 or so, that were inside the temple, one was in IIP's room.
4) We killed an Anuek Controller. IIP's pet also attacked, and we killed that as we killed the first Controller. Immediately after the first Controller died, the Collosus of War became active and aggro'd. It was not slowable. IIP was targettable at this time, possibly the whole time, I didn't check, and IIP was CHing. In retrospect, I wish we would have tried to kill IIP first. But maybe that's not possible.
5) After killing CoW, we killed IIP. At this time, the Remains were showing 2% health, and we couldn't bust it open. So we killed the last Anuek Controller, and that allowed us to loot the BiC piece.

We used 24 people. It was quite a bit of overkill, but we didn't want to lose. Gathering the pieces for the poison took a long, long time. I can see how it's probably single groupable for the Qvic+ folks, but for elemental and even Time equipped even, I would bring 2 groups.

Did this last night.

Cleared the trash from the outer room.
Killed the constructs in the outer room.
Did hand-in to Abena.
Killed both aneuk controllers while ikaav cast mostly resisted spells on people.
Killed ikaav.

Colossus never aggro'd (and couldn't be cast on).

So I guess we could have skipped killing the constructs :).

yesterday raid force of 25 EP equiped people killed her, and looted 3 talvins reports

what we did is next thing:
1) we moved to the 1st room on the right when you enter building... and pulled all constructor of wars there. at 30% they go to ikaav room, but then they return. with few casualities we killed them all. pulling all was mistake, but it is hard to split them. if you can, pull 1 - 3 at the time, since they are easy (they hit for 750 max)

2) when constructor of wars are dead, move to ikaav's room, and kill 1st aneuk, and collosus of wars.

3) then kill 2nd aneuk

4) turn in plate and poisoned fruit to that slave (abena) and wait for emote

5) then kill ikaav

dont know what is respawn time on mobs in ikaav room, but it is realy long. after 30 minutes of killing the 1st constructors of war, it didnt respawn. that means you have plenty of time to kill them all, and loot stuff :)

aneuks and ikaav are rooted... you can debuff and slow them from outside ikaav room

Thank you for this great post. I led this event last night with 21 people in Elemental/Time gear and it was easy for us by following the outline above.

The only thing I think it missed is that the Colossus becomes agro and charges as soon as the first Aneuk Contioller is killed. We were surprised by this but just cornered and killed it and then continued.

Charmed pets make nice DPS along with a few leashing tricks to kill the adds before you engage the actual fight... not gonna give away every secret though. Dropped the mask and the toothpick along with the 3 BiC pieces.

what is the point of posting things like this???

"i just soloed quarm, i am not going to tell you how, but i did. he got me to 32%,before he went down"

if you want to be usefull, explain how you did it.

i am also working on this, and already wiped a raid force of 20 EP equiped people :( couldnt figure out how to split constructor of wars.
is this like emp ssraezha fight in ssra?

I agree, anyone who posts about having some uber secret and the says they aren't sharing gets an instant awful rating from me.

Most of the are probably just lying and bragging, which is pathetic. The ones that do have a secret and don't want to share, DON't POST.

As I understand it -- Ixvet has to be up for the end sequence of the 2nd Breakdown in Communications quest to work. This is because NPC (Abena) takes the Poisoned Fruit and tray to serve it to Ixvet as part of the sequence. If Ixvet is not up, it cannot be served. While you have to kill some MOB's in this sequence, Ixvet is NOT one of them.

Or is she? Can anyone verify this?

How does BiC fit in to encounter?

Read the posts here and the Breakdown in Communications write-up, but would like to hear some more details about how BiC fits in here.

1. Can you do this event without the poisoned fruit plate etc from BiC?

2. If you do it without, can you still get the BiC quest piece in the chest at the end?

Since I imagine the answer to one of these is no, some questions about how the quest script works into it:

Quest writeup says that you send in the servant to the mobs, but if you do nothing he dies. IF he dies, can you still get the final quest piece from killing the Ikaav?

And if the answer to that is no, is the solution to keeping him alive to simply send him in as you pull / engage, so that the Ikaav and Anueks are hitting you instead of the quest mob?

Any elucidation much appreciated =)

BiC fits in here because you are sent out to free the Taelosians from their captors and in order to do that you gotta kill the lead Ikaav...which is her :)

1. Think so - not positive...I did it with the fruit though...

2. No - you need the fruit portion to spawn Talwin's remains...

No you can't get final quest peice if the servant dies. Least from my experience..because Talwin's Remains spawns only ONCE the servant hands the tray to the Ikaav mob...

To keep the slave from dying you kill all mobs in the area except Ikaav Ixvet Pox and i THINK maybe the Colossus...cause he can't be attacked yet.../shrug not sure...but you send the slave in...when Ikaav says somethin about dealin with the slave after dealing with the others (your raid) or somethin like that...that's when you beat the snot outta her :)

As of last patch Talwin's Remains has 3 final reports on it...so 3 people can get this portion at once...and then just have to do up to the poisoned fruit part...

Very rewarding event imho...I like doin it too :) it's fun!

First have an Monk or Shk get aggro from the Constructs of War, pull them to the south entrance of the Castle, move a bit out so they all time warp back.

Raid stays at west side, pulls one after one and kills him. After this , have 2 War which tank the Controller at same time and have around the same dps for them, kill them both in same time. ( if you lesser then 5sec difference CoW dont aggro ). If CoW aggro, use SL or HL tank with an War, easy mob.

We dont have EP gear, dont really need nice to kill since he is on an 2day +-12h timer.

Now Use Rootet Range Fight tactic, Shk is best. He cast alot Aggro spells on Ikaav till he is on the agro list ( most time screwed because of the pet ). Then start , cleric watch MT ( SHK ) and each tiem when he gets summoned, move back and cast aggro spells, dam easy fight. Able to kill that ecounter with 18 people..

Did our 2nd run on Ikaav last night and our strategy that I previously posted is a sound one.

Pull all the Constructs of War to the outter room and kill them. All 8 at once if you have to. They don't hit all that hard.

Ignore the Aneuk Controllers during the fight.

Put your MT and all dps on Ikaav and blow it up.

Have your Colossus of War tank just standing in front and waiting for it to become live at 50% Ikaav health.

Offtank the Colossus until Ikaav falls, then kill Colossus.

Lock Ikaav corpse.

Kill Controllers.

Enjoy nice loots.

You can pull golems
# May 17 2004 at 11:46 AM Rating: Decent
While the golums are tethered to the building you can still yank them out far enough (with some creative FD aggro), and engage them all in the room outside Ikaav's chamber. This will give you 8 golums to fight all at the same time, without aggroing Ikaav, or taking Aneuk spellcasting.

We achieved all 8 golums with a 36 man raid team NON-elemental gear.

For the actual fight after the golums are down.

Ikaav rampages, and hits for just under 2k.

Basic tank + rampage set up on her.

The Colossus of War becomes live at 50% health and he hits for just under 2k as well. Think Bertoxxolous quality melee. You will want a sturdy tank on this bad boy with solid healing on him as well.

Ikaav's HP's are low.

The Aneuk's seem to cast spells but they are perma rooted and do not melee.

At this time I can see no advantage to putting tanks on the Anuek Controllers. Just let them cast and outheal their feeble dps.

We've only done this once, and I'm no means the total authority but this strategy seems sound for now.

Tried this last night. The 4 main mobs are all rooted. The golems are all tethered to the building. There is no pulling. We tried to rush one of the controllers but died to the golems before we could drop the first controller. Thinking maybe you have to fight the 6 golems in the first room of the building then move on the 4 boss mobs.

she's not permarooted, and she's yellow, so I doubt harmony would work on her. However...she is tethered in that room...or atleast was last time I checked
Basic Strat

Basic strat is, pull the 2 Anuek Controllers. When you pull them, the 6 golems will come with. So you need 8 tanks in all. Make sure all tanks have target prior to fight, like emp ssra. Each golem tank should have a healer. Cleric or druid is fine. Now, the Golems will eventually pop back inside room, freeing up healers / tanks. Switch them over and finish killing the Anuek Controllers. Once the 2 controllers are dead, the Golems are no longer of any problem. Then, we pulled Collosus of War once, and he disappeared, giving us full, uninterupted access to Ikaav. Then just simply tank, heal, dps.

anyone know how hard this mob hits, is it 1 groupable by a decent group of 65's? or is it a raid mob like the Muram Votal mob from Ferubi, some info on this mob would be graet.
RE: info

from what i've read/heard i'd say a big no. lol, apparently thiers lots of golems in their which can't be targetable until you fight her. it seems theirs 9 other mobs in the room with her. i'm wondering if each one becomes targetable at a certain % like AD, or what i've heard from AD. if thats the case then this would be MUCH easier then i expect, but since that would seem too easy i doubt it, lol.
RE: info

Hits for 1200ish or so plus flurry, not much for HP on it. The other mobs in the room don't do anything after the controllers are dead, easy fight for the most part.

Also dropped an int caster wand pri/sec only that had "vengeance of eternity" the same effect as on the wand from dresolik - 100 hp/mana +7 to all saves - very similar in all respects to the wand of the firestorm from dreso.
