Man Ranger should be able to solo these and turtles non stop, cake walk for them, as well as monks, an any other class with fear, great exp as well at 58 they wqernt aggro, i dotn recall 57, but somwhere between 55-58 they stop helping eachother, and ill be proud and glad to say, if you can fear when they stop aggroing go fight across from wayfarer camp, or jus do both sides or the camp side, reason i like other side, i run right threw them and theres more then 3, stone mights bah, stupid 11 minute disease dot, i dotn mess with, the mobs dont run into water so they jus run up and downt he shore

After killing a lot of these, one dropped "Severed Hynid Head." Not sure what it's for, but since it's not on the loot list thought someone might be interested.

Hmm... I decided to explore Natimbi today. I was strolling about, killing whatever agro'd on me.

One of these Hynid Fleshrippers dropped a Polished Hynid Fang. Doesn't mention tradeskills and is NO DROP.

This item is not listed as loot. Also, it is not in the item lookup section. Any thoughts?

Make nice DC pets. Haste + Uproar + Umbra + Feedback.

As long as DB mobs slowed + dotted they seem to manage to take them down OK.

Dropped a very nice neck that the beast in group won, but had aura of courage, +5 to str, sta, agil, dex, some hp, mana, endur, and ac, and wearable by all melee classes. Jaw fell to the floor, but oh well, will hopefully see another one soon.
No Charming

Glamour,Snare, Charm. Charm never lasted more than 10 seconds.

A Beastlord friend of mine were killing stuff across the crick from the wayfarers when I got it in my head to try to charm one of these Hynids. He tanked a moment while i glamoured him and charmed.
It held for several seconds so he pulled. Just as he did charm broke. I luckily got him recharmed but that only lasted like 3 seconds. His pet took care of the spirit lady there and he pulled agro off me just in time. OK. No more hynid pets.

Then I was soloing with the turtles and the stonemites and things were going swimmingly. I then tried to glamour, snare and kite one of these hynid puppies the way I was doing with the turtle.

Glamour agroed it, and two snares failed to hold. I was 50% health now having taken 3 or so hits? and tried to run and egress. Even with SoE I couldn't get far enough to egress and he ripped me a new one.
Lost level but luckily I got it back after my rez.

They're pretty tough little hounds. I think I will steer clear of them for the time being.

Bard also had trouble charming these dogs. Either resisted, or broken inside a few seconds.

Go grab a mastruq warfiend instead. Charm usually lasted the full term and they kick hynid butt! :)

Well, since my post they've nerfed them quite a bit, and I've advanced too. So I've kinda moved on.

I just wanted to say, I CAN'T charm the hippie dudes. I'm a druid!

I was fear-kiting these in Natimbi at 57. They were blue to me, hit for up to 230-ish, and considered animals. Seemed to resist Panic Animal a lot, and when it stuck half the time it would only keep for a second or less.

Possible to fear-kite as a ranger, but I wouldn't recommend it.

These are dire charmable and they put out really nice damage especially if you buff them with savage spirit. They don't have a great deal of hit points so straight on fighting would be a hassle. Aggro kiting however is very easy with them because most of the creatures in this zone have few hitpoints.
