For the person who commented on the dagger icon that is shown when clicking on the SSOY link, that is what the ykesha once looked like. For some reason a long time ago, Verant changed the ykesha's looks. The only weapon that still exists with that look is the Blood Fire from CT. Actually, everyone I have talked to likes the look of that sword better than the one we are all familiar with. So no, its not a mistake and its not a dagger.

actuly there is a low level paladin item that still looks like it to... what were they thinking when they changed it to that? hehe MY sso morian changed that day to wich was cool cos it used to look like a short sword but then I seen the new ssoys and was like blah they used to look so cool....oh well

Let pet take the ht, then dmg shield tanks. Root him often and bomb away. Loads of hp, though I think 10000 is a stretch. I dumped my entire bar into him and took away a considerable amount of life and I am only a 44 mage. Lord room one of best spots on Dead side because no elses train will affect you there and you can pull the AM and the Hand too.

Ok for people new to the room always pull the lord off the throne. There is a bug that if you knock him behind the throne he poofs (Happened to us today, necro couldnt get the pet to pop, damn lord had a yak too *cry*) So make sure you pull down from the throne. Dont lose the purty yak like me =(

I was in a group that broke this room. I was a 40th warrior with 105mr and 840ac. 39th enchanter, 46 druid, 47 ranger, 52 cleric. Stop at the crossroad to the Magi and hand... then crawl your way to the lord room. You will have only 2 Boks and the lord to deal with. Have the warrior rush in and smack the Lord to take the HT.. mez the boks and spend 4 minutes beating down the Lord. Then bok take the boks.

Once broken take pain to keep the spawns seperate and you'll be fine. The druid left after the room broke and we held it fine.

OK, after extensive testing it seems that harm touch is resisted by both ac and magicres. I have tested this on redwind when I was younger.

with low ac I did indeed take a lot more damage. I think I took about 280 damage from redwind with low ac and mres.

Same lvl, high ac, same mres. Took an average of 200 damage.

Put on bs mantle and mres spell upping my ac only 1 and putting mres up about 30. took an average of only 125 damage. same lvl btw.

So, there you have it. Have a warrior with high ac and mres take the hit. He will fare far better than anyone with low ac or mres.

If you're lucky to have a SK in your group, have them make a pet to take the HT. That's about all their pet is good at :)

In the lower levels (up to 22 or so) SK pets, even if they only last one fight, actually deal more damage than our Necro DOT spells do, both in terms of time and mana. Convoke shadow is the last SK pet I would bother with, past that point they are simply too weak compared to the mobs of your level, especially considering the increasing need to hit with magic based attacks. I agree wholeheartedly with the post i'm responding to, though. Make the pet eat the HT.

Hmmmm Killer it seems you were not paying attention in class. the short answer to your question about could a group of 39's own him, Hmmmm let me think NO! He is a lvl 47 SK, he has a pet, and if he has the yak in his hands he is even more deadly, plus he has the Bok guards, but you can try and get owned, and have a Cleric Rez you. =) have a nice day.

Do not try and bust into this guys room w/o atleast one true tank. You'll need a cleric, and a necro or Enchanter for mezmerizing the Bok/Guk/Dar knights that guard the Lord. After you get in you should pull from the halls leading to the Lord, lest you want wanderers to join the Lord fight. You should be atleast level 40 or everything you shoot off will be resisted.

no, the stats are not gonna change... verant says they dont like to change stats or effects unless there is an imbalance caused by it *i.e.* the manastone which i still think they should have left alone... but they might... i heard a rumor about them nerfing the fbss to only 10% haste instead of 23%? i think thats right... if they do this i will be pissed since it will directly effect me

At the top, click on the Short Sword of the Ykesha underlined part to look at the stats, instead of there being a picture of the Ykesha like there normally is, theres a pic of a dagger of some sort-Thank You!

some idoits where training him the other night on fennin ro in guk, he was trained twice to the zone, left a huge trail of corpses. i think it was lvl 50 idiot who was haveing fun or some bs, any way the guys nasty as hell and will kick your *** sideways if you are not carfull

Ht is not a spell, it is a skill that can be resisted. There is no casting time on it, it is instant like a skill. The game mechanics just made it resistable because it would be too much of an advantage to SK's if it was an instant POP of whatever damage (according to their lvl). But it is not a spell, so magic resistance doesn't help.. just AC

there are spells that are instant. jboots? old peagus cloak? pumice stones? when Vambric Embrace procs its a spell, do you wait for it to cast again? Ykesha is also a spell, no wait time either huh?

HT can also be interrupted (extremely rare) just as LoH can be.

Harm touch is a spell. It is magic-based DD spell that takes no time to cast. Anything with high magic SV can resist it.

It is not a skill...i am an SK and we get it at level 1. There is no skill level involved in casting it. The possible damage is proportional to your level, not any kind of skill.
