So one day when I was a lowly level 14 monk wandering from EC to Befallen in WC, I came across my prey of choice, a Puma. An easy kill, with a very disappointing drop (MQ cat pelt. Such a tease), and I thought, ok, let's get to Befallen and see what's what.

Then came the Ghoul. Whacked me for 28. When something's getting bone crunching hits on me, I tend to want to run. Of course, this Ghoul had OTHER plans, as he rooted me.

Well, being a Monk that usually itches for a fight, the phrase "Let's dance" came to mind. I turned and went toe to toe with the guy.

Successful Mend, and it suddenly became a damage race (usually a GOOD thing for a Monk). It was down to whoever got in the last hit. Ah, such bad luck ... the ghoulie got it.

So time goes by. I level to 17 elsewhere, and eventually I found myself wandering through the West Commonlands again, and the ghoul wanders by.

It was on. Tanked that little punk like the punk he was. And for once, I resisted the root. That was nice, but I wasn't running.

Anyways, the moral of the story ... vengeance is sweet! And monks usually don't have trouble hitting critters like Ghouls and Wisps and what not, as magical handwraps and/or boots are pretty standard equipment for them (I had pit fighter gear as early as level 7).

I killed one of these the other day and it dropped a heart named "ghoul's heart". lore, no drop, anyone know if it's for a quest or something

my 15 war went to wc and saw ghouls but they were yellow to me at 16 i havent coned them et but i need to know what level they are in wc

These bastards killed me soooo many times in NRO that its not even funny!Specifically at derv 2 where some little snit ran through the ruins and agrod 3-4 of them +2 lesser mummies on my group and I.(Hey I was lev 11)Then I moved to Oasis, leveled a bit, and then dragged their pansy asses across the dunes! Can I get a hell yeah?!!!! Well now I'm in Loio and am being slaughtered by ice and char skeles *sigh* if I'd known this would happen so much I would have become a cleric or a pally. Ah well.

If u find one of these and its not green to u, it will come at you and sometimes it hits for a lot of damage! at the most its like 5o or something! If u fight one then a train might come with it. Have a group with you most of the time when ur in Unrest because the trains get so annoying! I didnt like them and my friend kept diying but i would run away. he lost 2 bubs of exp! I dont like unrest that much because of the trains so i went to other places. The trains suck!!. Hopefully u wont die. safe huntin. : )

I just felt like challanging all to try to break into the Lodge of the in Neriak 3rd Gate. It's guarded by 3 ghouls at the entrance (which are armed alot of the time) and is also guarded by ghouls around the outer walls. If you manage to break through them, congratulations! You will then be slain by the NPC's. This has got to be the most heavily guarded single building I've ever seen.

Some Ghouls, specificly the ones that spawn in the place of Crazed Ghouls sometimes, are as high as 27 (Conned even to my Monk at lvl 27).

I was walking along with a group of one other member and i saw some tank getting whipped by a ghoul. my partner and i jumped in to help as i diddn't know that i needed a magic wepon and I was totally useless. I decided to do the only rational thing and leave instead of staying and dieing eselessly. Afterwards i found out that the guoul killed the tank (he did have a magic wepon) and my partner (wizard i belive).

I LOVE killing ghouls!!! I'm convinced that ghouls have to be the easiest thing to solo for clerics once you have your lvl 14 spells (and a magic weapon, of course...this is when that Hammer of Wrath might come in handy!) What I do is get just in range, and Expulse, runbackwards until iI recover, and Expulse again before the ghoul gets in melee range...that's almost 180 dmg before he even touches you. Then, melee until you can expulse again (or you can Spook him then Expulse...I usually just Expulse while meleeing, because I find that they hit slow.)Repeat until dead. I was soloing ghouls that con yellow at lvl 14 and only losing 1 bub of health. Ghouls are wussies!

I have an 18 and one of these freaks was yellow to me, I think that their lvl range is 13 to 18 or even 19. BTW they hit too hard

I can remember the first time I saw a ghoul die, hehehe, it was so funny, here he is flailing his arms and then one last mighty blow and BAM! He's in the fetal position, that must be some way to die.

those idiats killed my paladin(Eddybear)though i dont have much info 1 thing i know is they will cast a spell that slows your feet down!!!!!!!so...be careful id hate to see anything happen to you so...please..be careful!!!
