I saw this big boy on track for the very first time yesterday. Track is maxxed, covers the entire zone and after 10 levels... yes 10, he finally appeared.
Snared as usual, feared as usual, and has about the same HP as one of the larger griffons. Hits for 30 - 103 (rarely), no faster than any other critter in Jaggedpine.
For me, he spawned north and a bit west of the poacher camp, north side of path, where the steep hill starts. West of Waldo just before the steep hill I guess is best way to describe it, I'm not much for /loc but travel by landmark.
What really got my goat was Stormclaw forgot to bring his Stormclaws!! All he dropped was Bear Meat and a HQ Bearskin. I'm a real sucker for faction and I took 2 nasty hits for nothing.
Oh well, if Stromclaws are a rare drop and this bear only spawns, once a week?, once a month?, then they are much rarer than the coveted Burnoose of the Halfbreed that drops off of Zed. I've seen Zed up many times, seen the Burnoose drop 6 times, but this Stormclaw bear? I'd hate to be a monk or beastlord with my heart set on these. Good luck guys on getting a pair of Stormclaws.
Now to hunt for "A Greak Kodiak" and no, I did not misspell it, I took a screenshot of this bear right after the server came up after a crash about 2 weeks ago (now it's Aug 09). Wonderful, I thought, souvlaki chomping bears, what next.....

I've been in Jaggedpine for 11 levels, and I've seen this critter on track once. Since my track is maxed, I cover a lot of the zone.

He was dark blue to me at 55, so I said "what the heck" and whacked him to see what he would drop. He only had the claws.

I sense a pattern developing.
