Coldain Head
I just did the quest and unfortunatley I let Tain get killed. So thought ok come back in a few hours and do the turn in again. But I looked up when the giants despawned and Tain had respawned. So never looking a gift horse in the mouth, I handed Tain the vial but he didnt accept it, saying something along the lines I dont need this. Reading else where I tried using the trigger phrase "I will help" which causes him to start the encounter again. I handed the vial in, got the hammer and left him to his new friends charging over the hill.
Edit: I just looked back and he respawned again after the giants despawned? Go figure.

After the dialoge with him he stood up and I tried to hand him the elixer but he laid down before I could get it out of inventory. He only stood up for about 5 seconds. Then when I tried to hand it to him it would just drop to the ground. I picked it back up just as the giants jumped us and as my SOW fell. We both dropped dead! Back to recover corpse and wait. After about 1.5 hours he poped right in front of me. I went to take a pic of him as he seemed to be buffing himself(!?) and hit auto attack instead. One hit and he vanished, not dead just de-popped. Douh!! Damn big fingers! Ok thats enough for tonight. I will try again tommorow and have the elixer ready to hand in and run off before the giants get to me.
UPDATE:
After Tain de-popped I camped and logged back on this afternoon and he was back. Got ready and said I WILL HELP and he stood and laid right back down, much faster then the first time. Gave him the elixer, even after he had laid back down, and got the hammer. I must have had a targeting problem the first time when it dropped.

UPDATE:
After Tain de-popped I camped and logged back on this afternoon and he was back. Got ready and said I WILL HELP and he stood and laid right back down, much faster then the first time. Gave him the elixer, even after he had laid back down, and got the hammer. I must have had a targeting problem the first time when it dropped.

killed him the other day, and was like a corrupted spaun; nuked him and he appeared again off his corpse, died and dropped a note for himself lol -

From what I read, his respawn is 30 mins.
Also, I have only seen 4 giants spawn. 3 + named, soloable with 54 Wiz.

It's not 30 minutes. It is at least 6 hours, but probably longer.

I'm doing the Aid Grum Quest atm and for this we need the Coldain Smithing hammer...
Does anyone know the minimum Faction needed? And is coldain faction good enough or must you have Dain faction as well.
