These little guys /con dubious to everybody (well unless you do something silly like hit them) but in werewolf form, my Bard was indifferent.
They're also very charmable, which druids tend to like :)
Just watch out that, if for some reason you pull a rat, and someone's previously charmed it... it may still be buffed and still have weapons.
Killed one at one point, it had over 15 weapons and 'junk' research pages on it *chuckles*
