I have killed about a dozen of these (common in Library area about halfway up the tower in Skyshrine, past the maze).
The DoN hide the previous posters have obliquely referred to is the Great Reptile Hide, which I have not yet seen drop from these.
I was killing these along with Shrine Protectors, easy solo at 62, probably really good xp 55-60.
Was hoping they dropped Tigeraptor Hides, but instead they drop Arctic Wyvern Hides as uncommon drop, kind of strange but true.

The hides are used for Iksar DoN quest and why would u not kill these b/c of the faction hits? Th factions no longer matter. Me and my friends one group about everything in this whole expanion. Who gives a **** if CoV faction is KoS.
Has no one in the history of EQ ever killed and looted any item from one of these?
