Hits for up to 700's.. Enrages @ 10% & summons.. Soloed it with my 70 paladin.. 672 AA's.. Fight lasted long enough HoT (36 secs) which faded that I had casted before casting AA stun.. At 11% right before he enraged I dropped another slay and finished him off, was funny cause he didnt get to enrage on me...

Ok so heres the down low for all you kids that wanna know whats up with Sythrax. I;ve been camping him with 68 beast and 70 cleric for 4 days now.
Seen him pop ONCE
yes thats right ONCE.
spawn rates are TOTAlly random and his PH is a revenant
they are on a 17 minute spawn cycle and its really boring, hope i get the sword for myr anja =P

yes this guy is way to easy. I duo him with my 65 pally which has 225aa and buffed around 1950ac 9600hp 1700atk and my 65 shammy with 95aa 5800hp. I normally cast stunn to get agro then have the shammy malo and slow him at that point i use my Holyforge disc and the fight is over. I keep Q on my pally and the fight last about 45secs-a little over a min with the disc and SU3.

Just solo'ed this guy. Hits really hard 772ish on me (65 druid with 670aaxp and Time+ gear 8khps 7200 mana buffed) and I dropped alot of heals on myself to win. The steps:
1. Don't clear to him. That's a waste of mana. Just run past the mobs and up the stairs. If you agro more than 1 of the other mobs then I would suggest just egressing to zi and gate back to your safe bind spot (You know you can bind in Veksar, right?)
2. Root/Rot the sissy Highborn in the middle of the room. You now have 18 mins before repop.
3. Fully buff (if you haven't) including Skin of Flame which stacks with all other druid damage shields = 87ds
4. Root Remains
5. Snare Remains
6. Rot Remains
7. When he summons...back up. In fact, a good idea is to have your back to the wall when he gets ready to summon and just continue backing up till you get summoned.
8. When he triple rounds you for about 2200 you might wanna start healing yourself - quickish.

there ya go - the druid solo.

My group and I have been camping the area for the Iksar Highborn, Kylong Crusador and Remains from the point where you first drop down near the ramp. We have a group of 6 mostly 65 with a 65 shaman on the side for buffs, and the kills are no problem. However, he's a very slow spawn. We camped him last night for about 8 hours and only saw him once. In the last week, we've seen him a total of 5 times, and unfortunately he has dropped the parry blade EVERY time. We're very frustrated at this! We're going to continue to camp him another day or 2 and hopefully get some of his other drops.

This is a nightly camp for friends and i, 65 cleric, 65 necro, sometimes 65 warrior. Necro has soloed him, Long as you stop attacking on enrage he seems to be cake!

As an update, in the last hour he has poped for us 3 times, this last time was back to back, dropped hate proc sword woot! This last time he dropped Ritual Talisman of Fate, he's dropped this lovely neck twice this week!

Soloed him the first time tonight. Here's what happened.

Took around 3 hours for him to spawn. Around 20 min re-pop time.

He is in the room by him self, so really you never have to leave that room or kill anything but him or his PHer.

Max he hit me was 772 (might hit harder however).

I charmed a highborn from outside his room and hasted it.

I got him down to around 50% 3 times when charm broke... and many times it broke even sooner. I died once but after I quit necro rez I went at him again. Almost every time I was able to run away after the double summon and get off FD (made sure not to be under his spawn point).

Finaly I got a charm to last all the way though... fight took around 2 mins but seemed a LOT longer... charmed pet only needed a few heals just to keep him above 50%.

When the remains got down to 9% it enraged. I let the pet take it because I didn't want charm to break this late in the fight. When my charmed pet died I got summoned and I lifetap tanked him down the last 9%. I was pretty happy =)

well guys i was a little bit intimidated reading all the post on how bad he was, I just took him down with a 65 pally and a 65 shammy, not a single problem at all when that enrage hit i just chain stunned him and let the shammy pet and dots do my work for me, hes about the same as a Kriger in BoT, he droped the Tuk'nak parry blade i must say thats a nice graphic.

Can a 65 BST ( 65%slow and paragon ), 65 druid with elementals equipment, and a 54 warr take him on and win? Thanks for any replies

Me and two friends decided to take a trip to Veksar. I was playing a 56 paladin, one friend was a 63 shammy and the other one was playing his well-equiped 65 warrior.

We went through the first room with Nobles and went up the stairs, sneaking our way to the first room to the right, into the room where Remains of Sythrax pops, finding his PH up (A Revenant). We killed the revenant and all mobs in the other 4 rooms and RoS popped after a couple of mins. After only one PH!

We called for reinforcements as we knew that some people here posted that he quads for 782. But we decided do give it a try, before the reinforcement friends came along, which I believed was suicide at that moment. Warrior ran to him and started to slash RoS but he forgot to hit defensive disc. After a few seconds and a couple of pokes in his stomach with a rusty chair, he realized what he should do, hit the disc button. I jumped in and started to help keel the RoS with all the power from Brell Serillis and after a few more secs the shammy slowed and Shammy started to focus on healing(he forgot to cripple until the mob was at 60 percent). I saw on the warrior's screen that the mob almost never beat him for over 400, due to the warrior's high AC.

He was MUCH easier than we first thought but with only one problem. Xillions of HP!!! Well, only about 50k or so I think, but It felt like such a long time killing him.

We didn't get any more problems with RoS and shammy was at 80-85% mana when we finally killed this ugly undead(shammy dinged AA, btw) thanks to Canni 5 and 4.

The shammy and warrior could have done him alone but It went a little bit faster with my undead procs. IVU also helped us to get there faster.

He dropped the Hooked So'Shar which went to the warrior(duh) and he replaced his SoD with it in Agro situations where he now uses BoC + SoD if I recall correctly.
This seems to be his rarest drop from what I've read here so I guess that we were, very, very, very lucky that wonderful day!

We went there again with the same people today. Shammy was level 65 with more aa's and all spells this time and I was close to ding 58, warrior had more AA's and elemental armor pieces, so we decided to take a trip to Veksar again to see our favourite undead pal Remains of Sythrax.
Our friend wasn't home though, we knocked on his door and his butler A(rnold )Revenant told us that we were on privite property and punched me in my face. So now we got pretty angry and killed him and everyone in sight, including the butler (A. Revenant). We were lucky again, because RoS came home early today, we only had to kill one PH, like the last time.
Shammy almost died in the beginning of the fight, he slowed too early and slow was resisted and I had to use LoH. Rest of the fight was piece a cake and he dropped Kunzar Tu'Lal, which nobody needed so we are trying to sell it. Warrior had to leave to go to raid but me and the shammy went around a bit in Veksar, killing all PH's we could see. After we did that, I checked if Remains of Sythrax was back. And he was!!!

"No way that we can take him without the warrior," we thought.

And we were probably right but we were to coward to try it. Shammy botted his 65 warrior alt(not as powerful as the warrior we had earlier though) we buffed up and started to kill.
And after many minutes of fighting, RoS decided to die and give us loot. The fight took longer time than with the other warrior though.
We got another Hooked So'Shar which went to the shammy's warrior.
I wonder if RoS always spawn 60% of the time instead of PH, or are we just very very lucky all the time?
I hope I get a Ritual Talisman of Fate next time we go there. =)

How often does he spawn for you when you kill the PH?

anyone killed this pile bones lately?

after like 30phs i start asking me if they nerfed the spawn or something since when i was there with group a few months ago, we got him twice in a short time.

Be careful when he enrages. All that needs to be said. =)

Just got another Hooked So` Shar tonight making that two outta the last 10 times or so roughly. The only drops we have not seen from him are the Parryblade and the Bracer. He is a warrior mob quads for 700ish, so make sure you have a slower or its not gonna be pretty.. Happy hunting :)

Can someone please tell me what the location is for remains and who the PH is ?? If not map coordinates just give me an idea of how to get there from the drop down into the highborn area.

Seems to pop 1 in 6 times roughly. Out of our 11 kills, we have received

5 Double Edged Gan Noks
2 Kylong Darkmail Bracers
2 Kunzar Tu'lal
1 Ritual Talisman of fate
1 Tuk'Nak Parry blade

and NO FRIGGIN HOOKED SO'SHAR!

Can you guess what I am waiting on?

LOL. I think I'll be able to afford a blade of carnage from selling his drops before I actually get my sowrd to drop. Hope this helps.

Me as a cleric with 1200 AC and 4000 hp, his max hit on me was doubles of 722, i noticed he likes to spawn at bad times. we took him out (65 SK 56 cleric 60 BST (slower) and a 65 mage). hes nothing like most mobs, once slowed. I suspect hes a random spawn with PH, as he spawned twice in 15 minutes for us.

Drops a 13/18 with a few stats and Procs a Str debuff..

Where does this guy spawn in relation to say the Shops?

we took this guy down with 2 65 pallys, 65 shammy, 1 52 rogue, 1 58 rogue, 53 warrior, was pretty fun, 1 pally almost went down. fun fight

Yeah that's me in the spotlight...and the bracer that dropped is what I replaced my Hate bracer with. Probably has one of the highest AC's of anything I have on atm...spawns in a section with a bunch of Highborn nobles etc...hits almost like a Teir 1 mob.

On 6/18 a single group took out Sythrax, and I won the roll on:
