The easiest way to solo this camp if the mobs con green is to take out the shiknar nearest to the PH then pull from that position.

I can kill two mobs and then go afk invised for 20+ minutes.

Location of Primalist is positive 187, negative 484.

SOLOING
# Jul 09 2004 at 10:19 AM Rating: Default
As a 65 chanter I solo both sides of this place as part of my daily activity. Although I prefer company, I dont mind solo. Armed with Virtue HP buff,SHARE WOLF FORM<yes, it sticks to a chanter with Perm Illusion AA, and gives me permanet SOW without the hassel of 30 min sow, or 60 min SOE> nice set of pet weapons, and several empty sacs prior to comming here, I gate to my bind which is at the Grimling zone line. I solo buff, invis myself and enter. Once inside, I DC a light blue gaurd, toss him the uber mage summoned items, haste him 70%, and away we go. I keep Facination <AE mez>, root, slow, pacification, and a HP rune for pet.
Most of the mobs can be solo pulled without pacification, but I want to be sure. If i get more then one, I AE facinate, or bliss them, and sick pet singly. Using this method, I can have up to six adds, and as long as i keep my HP runes on myself, I can handle atleast 6 adds. A chanter DC pet in this zone with mage weapons makes a above average meele look slow and stupid. I can empty the first room on left, as well as the room on right this way. I dont leave till my encumberance is 345/85, which takes about an hour if i solo. I then use my Attuned Spire Shard( http://allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=11400)
and then wait the 5 minutes to land in Nexus. Normaly i take about 85 points of damage caue of encumberance, i sell, and collect my 3K for my hour worth of work.
I dont suggest a meele solo here unless an aboe average paladin, but any meele with a healer will work wonders.
I see many 2 partner teams in this zone, and unles someone of the party is smart and UBER, they normaly stay in the left room, single pulling to zone till its clear. If one does this, by time room is empty, the 2 gaurds that gaurd the outside of the room pop in a few moments, with enough time to med before respawn.
PS
I dont care what anyone says, I have killed the Primalist and ritualist in the left room. I rarly empty the room on right unless with a partner <i'm chicken>, and i found the Primalist in room on the left <unless someone had pulled him to that room and then zoned/gated>.

ENJOY the new RM zone!

Sohot Ankle'Grabber, 65 chanter

Yes, totally.
Paladins with their ability to heal themselves and single pull here are having a good time solo ( 60-65 )

As a 61 Magician I held this camp with zero problems. For me he has always spawned on the right side of the camp fire as you walk into the room.

Where he spawns: When you zone into AC, take the first right, then take the next first right. Straight ahead is a slightly open room with around 10 spawns in it. This little guy spawns on the right side of the camp fire.

He has dropped both the Breast Plate and the Mask for me.

56 Shammy and 52 Warrior held this camp np. warrior has better than average gear. shammy pet with buffs and mage items can tank 1 while warrior tanks one. Breaking the camp is hard if you cant single pull. I wouldnt advise this unless the shammy is used to doing everything with just a warrior. (we have been doing this since around lvl 20). 3 kills on him, not a single mask. KEI faded and we had to leave. will be back again shortly. Shammy must have paralyzing earth to root park adds, which can get in the 3=5 range quickly. Resist must be very high without resist buffs. dispells are a little rough too.

Looking at the campfire from the entrance to the cave the Primalist spawns on the right side of the campfire.

I tried to camp the primalist, but I couldn't figure out which campfire he's supposed to spawn at...after you zone in, and hang a right, and again, a right ( at the 2 flaming heads on a stick ) you come to a big room, with several spawns....there's a campfire there, and 2 grimlings around it, with 2 insects in the back, by the wall, you can also go left and find more insects, as well as 1 grimling spawn, and you can go right, to find that the passage curves around and has several bugs and a 3 spawn campfire with grimlings around it...now can anyone please be specfic and post a precise spawning point of the primalist/PH ? Thanks in advance. ( a loc would be awesome ;op )

63 Ranger eq/am2/headshot solo kill. found him in the first room on the right after the entrance, the one with the bugs in back. he was standing in the middle, snared him (used extended range snare necklace) and he drew no agro as he came to fight me at the entranceway. I used root and shoot, he got loose a few times, it got somewhat close, but no real challenge. Conned dark blue. Dropped chestplate and book.
I've killed him twice

Both times he dropped the mask and book of lies (I wouldn't kid ya about this).

He spawns where the camp fire is there is a place holder but when killed the placeholder can spawn again. I think the spawn time is about 20-30 minutes. From the zone in you take your first right and then another right (there are 2 skull-on-a-stick things there). I would not attempt to solo this unless you can handle constant kills and/or adds, getting there you can single pull most or all of the time (watch for roamers) but careful as they cast spells and some even dispell. I'm pretty sure if you camp out in the zone you will end up at the zone in when you log back in. He himself isn't that hard, just getting to him and getting him to spawn. Well worth the 3-5 hours for a sweet mask/bp.

A few of us camped him on 10/14/03 we were there from 4:00pm cst to 12:00pm cst. He did not spawn one single time.

At one point everyone left and I was there alone. I am a level 61 necro and I had a hard time holding this camp alone.

If you do this camp be sure you have someone to snare since the mobs will walk off at 20%. Most mobs are casters so root rotting can be a problem if your resists are low.

Some of them are clerics who will CH if you give them the chance, shamans who will slow and mala and necros who dot and use ignite bones (500dd).

To get there as posted below you enter Acrylia Caverns threw Grimling Forest. From zone in you make a right and proceed down to the first hall on the right. At the end of that hall is a large open room. The far wall has a campfire with 3 spawns. Each of these spawns is the place holder for the primalist. The mobs are on a 20-minute spawn timer and appear to have decent resists.

Hope this helps some.

Who is his placeholder? I've gone down there several times, and only once have I seen him up. I've wandered thru his room, slaughtered everything around, and waited, but... they all look the same, the stupid little apes. Which one is his placeholder?

65 ranger (me) 62 ranger and 56 shaman (my bot) kept pretty much every single mob at the whole zonein section completely decimated for about 2 hours. Got TONS of acrylia, 10 pristine acrylia shards for the quest in grimling, and 3kp in runes/weapons/research stuff. I made 2 yellow AA xp, 62 ranger made almost a whole AA, and shammy made 8 blues regular xp.
Headshot works well in this zone, going off rather often.
Legend of Lies
# Jun 14 2003 at 12:26 AM Rating: Decent
Was camping this guy tonight, he droped the mask and another item I cant seem to find listed anyplace. It's a book called "The Legend of Lies"

When I cast Identify on it is lsits as
This item appears to be written in the common tounge.
Item Lore: A tome of secret Grimling Lore..

When opened the book reads as follows..

We murmur our beginnings. We tell children bright tales. But we preach forgetfulness. And this is good, for the truth is heresy. To remember what our god not is folly. To remind him of his days as an explorer, his fame and place amongst the Vah Shir will only kindle his rage. To show him sevret ledgers and testaments we have recovered from the Shissar would surely call his wrath. To tell him of his torture and rebirth through death at the hands of the Shissar must bring our destruction. And so we must conceal the truth.

Our legends must be lies.

Part of the agent Tiesh's old books...

also need two books from SSRA, one drops from Shissar Magistar and the other from Shissar Assassin, then the final kill is Khati Sha the Twisted...who is a very tough fight even for a Time Guild...and no one ever wants to do the Twisted because his only loot worth going after is the quest drop, for the final reward a very nice Clicky Sow Earring...

all in all was a good quest but the final fight is just not worth it...takes a min of 40, and only the person who completes the quest will benefit from the kill, his other drops are just for lack of a better word worthless for the people it takes to kill him...

'Legend of Lies' is part of an uncompleted quest that is given out by one of the named Vah Shir that spawn in Grimling Forest after you clear all the grimling camps. I'm not sure of the details but I believe that after you turn it in you are then sent to Ssra to find some missing pages of the book.

May also have something to do with Khati Sha the Twisted. Seems like it is giving some background on Khati who, and I read this somewhere, is a Vah Shir that became captured and tortured.

***Taken from someone else's post on Khati****

/quote

He was once the great Hero of Shar Vahl. He went out to discover this new world known as Luclin. During his adventures he ran across the grimlings as well as the snake people known as the Shissar. The Shissar captured him and did an experiment on him to try to make him into a God to govern over the growning threat of the Grimlings. The experiment went horribly wrong and he was morphed into the creature pictured without any of his prior memories. Having found the Grimlings he used his new powers (which were given to him during the experiment) to give the Grimlings thought. For that they worship him as their God.

/end quote

The scripting seems to elude to that, of course this is speculation and I maybe wrong but who ever did this post seems on the money to me.

I would think that a 55 BST might be able to solo him if you could pull him to an out of the way spot, which is available, but you'd have to clear about 10 mobs (not counting the several wanderers in this area) to get to him plus he's got a PH next to the campfire next to which he spawns. Even if you fought him in his room you'd still have to clear about 6 mobs to safely fight him without soulsoothers CHing him and then pray for no adds. Not saying its impossible but be careful and good luck. I'd recommend a group.

The ritualist that spawns in the room across the hall is much more easily soloed if you are just looking to farm some items and xp.
Where is this guy
# May 21 2003 at 6:50 AM Rating: Default
Any one tell me where to find this guy and also does anyone know how to get into the lower section where the floor "should" open to get to the main boss. I have tried everything to get in there but have accomplished it yet. The entrance to this lower section is in the throne room where I think the warlord pops?
RE: Where is this guy
# May 21 2003 at 1:00 PM Rating: Default
The primalist is very close to the zone in from Grimling. When you zone in, make a right then go through the big room and make the first right. He spawns near the campfire in that room. Camped his room for a couple hours last night and had him spawn every other time with a placeholder the other times.
RE: Where is this guy

The warlord for the black acrylia gauntlets spawns in that room with the door in the floor.
He spawns at the chair.
