ok fallas, just took this mob down took all of 2o mins or so. got the shard of the hearth and mace of the prescience. i'd say he was easy with lvl 71 druid,70 ench, and 70 warrior. we let merc's tank him and warrior had only cleric doing heals. btw lic of the hearths dropped 3 scrols so for so each got a scroll in case earring is wanted by other toons..

I've looked all over, and I just can't seem to figure out how to find this guy. Anyone got any detailed explanations on how to get to him? Or atleast a somewhat decent explanation please? It would be very appreciated. Thank you.

He is in the SE of the large square buildings. You have to go up to the third floor. There will be two hallways with a single mob in the end, and behind the mob a flag/tapestry thing. You click on that flag to go up to the next level (either of the two). As soon as you click up, there will be another mob there, at the beginning of a winding hallway that goes to the other end (where the other flag would have taken you.)

If you follow the hallway, it'll open up to a larger room in a corner, with a door. That door leads to a room with a table, and that room into a bedroom. Matpa spawns in this bedroom.

This is true for all four Praesertums that you need to kill for the Arx Key and the Earring quest.

70 Beastlord and 70 Cleric - About a 30 min fight. Cleric Easily kept the pet up and beastlord occasionaly slowed (making sure not to pull agro) and dotted.

Killed all 4 Praesertums this way.

Soloed him as a 70 shaman. Tanked with fully buffed, dual-wielding pet proccing leopard. Trushar was more than enough to keep puppy alive. I started chaining the lvl 70 poison dot on him at around 60% and he never even looked at me. Took about 20 minutes.

Took him down tonight, 65 beast, 61 beast, 62 pally, 65 cleric, this fight has been nerfed or so it seemed to us. He now Tash's, randomly fears( or so it seemed). Much harder than reports that Ive read so far. Didnt have a mana prob, cleric and pally had no probs keeping pets alive, but high, very very high magic resist on this guy. And as I said, he's throwing spells that arent listed here. Also, I started out as ally faction, still ally to most, cept the peeps in the "towers" where these mobs are. Needless to say, after killin him, and wipe from add death, corpse runs had to be performed by alts.

Aye this mob is Enc cast all spells 60+ Enc would. Far as resist had NP with Fire Nukes.

This was the sencond guy i went after for a freind. The first was Rhugol, who i managed to duo with a 57 cleric.
This time Me, lvl 65, Cleric 57, and 65 necro,, and let me tell ya , was much easier then the first, lasted 20 mins or less and woot , More CAKE.

Got this guy down tonight on Tribunal. Ya know, for being lvl 66 mobs, they really arent that hard. We basically walk into the room, with all healers assigened on mages pet, and let the pets do their stuff. We had 2 chanters with DC'd pets, 2 shammys , 2 mages, 1 BL , and between all of em this guy had like 10 pets on him. So , myself (pally) and other melee kicked back feeling somewhat useless, laughing as we plucked a few arrows off,and cast meaningless 125 hp damage nukes. he went down so easily. There was no strain.I was way overmanned. So , i recommend doing this, ...

Take a mage with ya , invis if you are KoS, and get up to the room right before this guy. Have a chanter be one of your first peeps ya CoH , and then one by one, get the rest of the raid party from zoneline, to right in front of the doors to this mob. Get a chanter up there first so pesky adds can be mezzed till everyone is in the hall, able to assist. Kill adds , kill mob. Cake.
I would not risk doing this with a single group, simply because i'd rather be safe than sorry, but im sure it can be done. 2 clerics , 2 mages and 2 chanters could certainly do it i would think. Sick pets on mob , keep MT pet healed, and nuke. He did drop the hammer tonight, and i am sure everyones jaws would have dropped if that bridle had popped out.

How do you get to this guy. I know there is one in each of the 4 buildings. Just couldn't find him once in the building.

The praesertum's are on the 4th floor of each of their respective buildings. In each building on the 3rd floor there will be 2 of each time of mob that can drop a concellium report, directly behind them there are panel type fixtures, clicking on these will warp you tot he 4th floor.

Bare caution, there are concellium droppable mobs as soon as you warp up and they sometimes are able to see invisible.

The 4th floor in each building is roughly in the shape of a V with two side rooms on each side of the V. The praesertum is in the 2nd room at the apex of the V.

My knowledge on Matpa:
=> his dps is very low average hit for about 200; max for 414.
=> he is a caster (enchanter), he ll try to gate when low hp.
=> he doesn t flurry.
=> he doesn t enrage.
=> he is immute run speed change.
=> he run away at 5% hp.

Pull secret:
Pull him in the jail where he banish, it s long but make the fight easier.

Drop:
=> Shard of the heart for arx key / earring.
=> Mace of prescience (DMG10, delay18, +5 agi, +5% dodge, ALL/ALL)

The easiest way of dealing with these guys (because of their banish proc) is to use pets and range attacks. Send a pet in as your MT, keep all healers on that pet (or have healers /assist Praesertium to see which pet he's on to heal that pet), have everyone else use their pets on him to push him into the corner. Melees use range attacks only, nukers and DoTers are your friends here. So long as the pet has sufficient agro, noone should be banished and the mob should go down with no casualties to your groups.
