ok everyone, this is a random spawn that can pop up anywhere there is a "a shady treasure sorter" place holder. I ran through the zone killing every PH I could find until he popped and when he did he wasn't at any place mentioned in the notes here. So just kill all the PH's until he shows up. Took about an hour but was a very easy spawn.
Dropped a Prismatic Crystal today. The one that looks like a Pearl. It's for Wizzy 1.5 1/10/2008

at loc n163 n554 there are some boards you can use to jump into the back courtyard, where there is an additional PH for Neiben. I could not find a way out without evac or gate.
edit: i was hoping to find the ground spawn for wiz 1.5 epic back there, no joy.
ok got prismatic crystal from the loc indicated n87 n 875 off Neiben, not as ground spawn. took a couple hours of PH killing.

I was able to shrink 1 time, jump on the ledge next to where the a shady treasure sorter spawns, and take a running jump over the wall.

Looked around dulak for a few hours for the ground spawn of the wizzy 1.5 piece, no luck. was killing the "a shady treasure sorter"s for fun and loot, when he spawn. I cleared the room around him first, medded to full, put up Barrier of Force off the 1.0 staff then hit him twice with white fire and he was down. On the first Nuke he summoned, and i was able to get the second nuke off before he could break barrier of force.
lvl 65 wiz with ok gear, but not much better than baz bought. Also have 1st tier crit aa's and Increased Damage 4 on my belt.

Killed him last night with a 55 Druid solo; confirm summon and enrage, but managed him easily. Dropped repugnant leather boots and abolone earring.

Since the last patches (sep and oct 2004) Neiben is able sometimes to summon players and become a raging troll when HP are near 10%

I was in Dulak helping PL a friend, after they logged I got bored and started poking around and found Neiben...I did a quick search in here to see what he was like, he cons green to my 66 Ranger. I invised past his guards and ran to the back, there were no aggro adds, and he never ran away. He is indeed immune to both snare and root, and hit me once for about 111 damage max (no defensive AA's as of yet) so with lousy Ranger damage mitigation that's about as hard as he should hit just about anyone... He did enrage and that's probably where he did the most damage to me because I plowed through it, stopping and casting a damage spell or two would probably be more effective if you're worried about your HPs, but even with just self buffs on he didn't get me below 60%
He dropped the Boots, a random rune, and the prismatic crystal...I called the crystal in OOC, and for good measure killed off all his guards as well.
All in all fairly easy farming though I have no idea what the spawn time is, good fun though.

spawn times plz i need spawn time i dont wanna be there all day aand all night looking for this guy IM A WIZARD ON THE EDGE!!!!! i hate camping stuff. This guy has the wizard epic 1.5 cystal. needed for a combine in a satchel. hope this helps you King and Queen Wizards out there.

I killed the place holder Shadey Treasure Sorters for 2 hours before he showed, and yes Neiben does resist all snares, roots (even STRONG ROOT), and he does SUMMON and ENRAGE, and he has a bunch of HP (GREEN my a$$, SoS barely dented him)... /sigh
BUT, assuming you can pull him out where you can loot his sorry butt when you kill him, there is a way. I knew there was a good reason to have ManaBurn, and this is one of the best... ZAP!! 9492 dmg, and he crumples!! Loot & scoot!

Re-pop on the shady treasure sorters is fairly short (15-20min I'd say). I cleared all of them 4 times before he spawned.
He only has about 6500hp, I just tanked him and used spark of thunder.

seems to be a new drop, no information as yet to what it is for...I spent many levels in Dulak, now 65 Eplane Druid, just wanted to mess around, so I went back to my old hunting grounds he was up and killed him in 3 nukes...dropped boots (common) and prismatic crystal...never seen it before...

I have the same experience. I quad-kited this warehouse area from level 52 to 57ish with my druid and never saw the crystal drop before. Wonder if it has something to do with the Omens expansion...
BTW....the large open courtyard adjacent to the Dandolak and the Oceancrasher gangplanks is a great place to quad. Just have to keep the Erudite female Oceancrasher MOB that spawns in the middle dead and you have tons of running room. Anywhere along that fence is safe to med.

dropped prismatic crystal, I've killed this guy hundreds of times and he never once dropped it although i admidtly haven't played for awhile, if anyone knows what its for please post cause its taking up space in meh inventory

I've seen him spawn three times inside the warehouse with the attached L-shaped courtyard, & also directly across the street from the L-shaped courtyard, right outside the warehouse. As others have noted, his placeholder is "a shady treasure sorter".
I have seen the Repugnant Boots from him 3 of those 4 times, the Blackened Glass Eye the 4th. I've looted the Abalone Ear Stud 3 times -- gave one away, have 2 more on 2 different chars -- but never from Neiben; each time, it's come from one of the "trash" mobs inside the warehouse. My BST alt has the Blackened Eye, & it works nicely for him at 17th level, even if the stats are borked.
I like to set up camp in that little L-shaped courtyard (straight across from Gunthak zone-in, right near the dock to Dandolak's & Lady D), set my pet on guard, & then begin pulling from the mobs inside the attached warehouse. If nobody else is camping in the area, I also pull from the warehouse across the street, & any wandering guards or dock patrollers that pass by. Sometimes, if I'm bored, I'll even pull the two Oceancrasher guards. The L-shaped courtyard is perfectly safe to med & summon in; nothing spawns in there or paths into it, & you can even go AFK for long stretches at a time, if you want.
Dulak's Harbor is simply heavenly for pet classes.

I have killed this guy like 14 or more times ear stud drops off of normal mobs as well sorters storage workers and attendants have mainly recieved the boots looted the glass eye twice is advanced healing II but only used by ranger pali bst clue to spawning him just kill treasure sorters he can spawn in any of there spots

Last night we had this punk on track, and he was in a courtyard behind the warehouse and the tavern around the corner. We could not get to him, nor lock on him.
Anyone know how to get back to that courtyard?

I've found him in that same spot... on the side of the armory there is a wall between two buildings where that courtyard is.... 3 mobs spawn there. You can jump over the wall (my halfling druid did) one of the mobs there, a treasure sorter, can spawn Neiben

I have camped the Storage Area near Dandolak and have got him to spawn about 6 times. I have always got Repugnant Boots on him everytime.
Can u plz post ~loc of this spawn spot, don't know the zone well yet so will me glad to have loc to help.

EDIT : He spawn around neg 50, neg 700 he can spawn on any of spot of him PH 'the treasure sorters' the 3 times he spawned in diffrent spot. Resist nothing, snareable, rootable etc.. got him in 1 min or less.

dont have the loc off hand, but the PH for this mob are the treasure sorters. when you zone in from gunthak, head straight into zone to the big open area. at the far right you will see a treasure sorter standing next to a crate at the entrance to a warehouse, usually a gnome or de. keep killing this spawn and niben will pop (if he is not already up in the warehouse) niben can spawn at any of the sorter spawns in the warehouse as well. i have done this spawn for many hours, the boots are a common drop, next is the glass earring, i have yet to see the other earring.

Took him down twice tonight, and this is what I remember...
Hits like any other mob here: fairly hard, fairly fast. With a KEI, I'd wager my 44 BST could solo him, so I would imagine a 54 could. If you use your DoTs, nukes, slow and pet heals well, this guy shouldn't be hard at all. He was Dblue to 43 and 44, so I don't put him as any higher than that.

hits about 114 max, around 2-2.2 second delay with the lvl 50 bst 30% slow. I backed off at 50% and let the pet solo him from there, not too difficult.

Could i drop this guy i am a lvl 52 Beastlord?
I dropped this guy with my 52 shaman pretty easy. I don't have JBB or epic (yet) and I have pretty common gear. I pulled with slow and let Jim ( my dog :) ) get agro. I cast incapacitate and charged in. My buffs were HoS, Regrowth, Haste, Rage, KEI, and Stamina. I never went below 80% life tanking him. I hope this helped in some small way :)

I mostly solo here as a 53 Dru, my 53 BST buddy has no prob soloing here either.
I dropped him the other day as a 54Bst. Easy fight for a named, this place is great exp and since mobs have pretty much no social agro its great to solo. Me and my enc mate took pretty much half the armory on our own :)
