This guy spawns more often than any named i have camped before. During a total of 6 hours yesterday and today he spawned 20 times, dropped sash 4 times and gloves 16 times.
He spawns faster than his room repops, it´s quite amazing, he has dropped the new hot-zone aug only once tho, other mobs in room has dropped it two times for a total of three drops during my first 6 hours there.
I remember meeting a beastlord in here several years ago, he had camped the room for two hours without Dulein showing his ugly face, i guess they changed his respawntimer during last patch or something.
lvl 66 Enchanter, 63 Bard, and 61 Wizard took this guy down relly easy. DC pet with haste can solo him. He spawned 6 times in about 45 minutes. Droped 1 pair of gloves, 2 pair of twice stiched sandles, and 4 sashes. some times droping 2 items. Great spot to hook up lower lvl caster with some decient gear f they dont have high lvl mains to provide for them.
4 of us tried to take him down yesterday 45 BST, 51 WAR, 51 CLR, 50 ENC. Got him slowed and he was a big pussycat took him down to 15% or less and, yes okay, we relaxed ... when suddenly he turned nasty.
He hit us with a 540pt / tick poison AoE dot (or maybe a couple of AE wave spells?). ENC was out of range of dot and rooted and gated, rest of us died before we even knew what was happening. As the cleric I didn't have a grp heal up, we weren't poison resist buffed, I don't have pure blood (we were there to get it!).
We've taken him before with, admittedly, slightly higher levels or a full group. Reading back the appends no one mentions this DoT, is this new ?
I dropped this guy 5 times in a row. he kept spawning every cycle and only dropped the guanlets. i got 1. then friend got 1. then i left to get new kei and put the guanlet in my shared slot. so then i got another one and the last 2 just rotted on the corpses... I killed that guy about a week or two ago with a another friend and got the sash, but come on they need to randomize the items more.
Lvl 60 Druid here managed to solo him second time around, had an add first time. Was a tough fight because he kept despelling himself and gated once. Ended up with 6% mana left so very close.
Soloed him, 65 druid. Just meleed him in place so I didn't aggro anything else, and threw dots and debuffs. Didn't seem any tougher than the other mobs in the area particularly. Dropped the gloves. He was in that shrine type area with steps on both sides with a bunch of other trolls all around. He didn't gate or heal.
This guy was an easy kill for a 61 necro (me), 58 ranger and 63 cleric (being bot'd). Not only him but all the Adherents gate when low on HPs so have someone keep up a stun or a big nuke interrupt or finish the job off.
His common drop seems to be the Gloves with the Sash and Shawl following as the more rare of the drops.
If the mob across the hall from him is up both will come on the pull (61 necro pulling) unless you can reduce aggro radius.
Take out the pather and you can sit at the barrels and pull these guys all day long.
He was no problem for a 50 druid, 53 chanter, 54 wiz, and 52 beastlord. I've noticed most of the mobs in this room gate but using just color shift and color skew I can keep them from ever casting (as long as they don't resist). Just wait till they're down below 50% before you start stunning because then they'll be trying to cast when stun wears off (instead of whacking you for 150+...)
53 BST(Myself), 55 Ranger, 65 Druid and 56 Monk took him out today. I pulled with Slow, mob added, druid snared and rooted, no problem. I tanked with 940 AC, 2600 HP. Druid healed me for 1750 twice, it was a pretty simple battle, and beware that he gates and i nuked him during his gate, moved him back, kicked, nothing works. He heals to about 30% and comes back, no biggie.
Based on the posts here and on other message boards, I am beginning to think that it is not this guy that drops the Shawl of the Fallen Spirit, but rather that High Priest Grumsalot does. I have seen both of them spawn in close proximity to one another, and we have killed both of them without moving our camp. My guess is that either a submitter made a mistake about which MOB dropped the loot, or (more realistically) the loot table was incorrect when LoY launched. I am willing to believe the latter over the former simply because of the sheer amount of bugs that can creep into an expansion like LoY. I am also willing to believe this because the Shawl of the Fallen Spirit is actually rather difficult to find, a fact that jibes with it being an uncommon drop of an uncommon named MOB. Dulein Gedasai spawns with some degree of regularity, and even if the Shawl were his rare drop we would almost certainly see it more frequently than we do.
A group of us has been camping the nautilus room for a couple of nights now. Last night, this guy spawned twice, dropping the gloves and the sash. Our group consisted of a 54 Wiz, 54 BL, 52 Cleric, 51 Chanter (52 by night's end - congrats Sleet), and a 50 Ranger. The first time we fought this guy, we did not even realize that he was a caster. The second time around, he managed a gate and heal, but little else. Our group managed to take him out much more easily than most of the adherents, who seem to use their shamanic powers to the fullest.
Myself (59 bard) and a friend (61 cleric) killed this guy. I positioned cleric atop rock out by the bridge. Went in invis, lulled all the mobs near named, snared for aggro, reinvis and pulled out to cleric. I got hit a couple times for 600 when he made it to camp. Cleric rooted, i charmed a nearby mob to beat on him. He starts to gate, used mez to try to break and cleric stunned. Dropped gloves. Hes kind of a waste for the trouble.
I charm the named bloodtusk boar in here all the time and basically massacre everything. Cleared Dulein's room many times, going on 31 times for killing him. Gotten maybe 3 sashes, no FT items, and a boatload of gloves. Have fun occupying his camp in hopes of your FT item =D
As a druid, we get several charm animal spells. Our lvl 63 Command of Tunare allows us to charm animals up to level 60. The Exhausted Bloodtusk is listed at 58 so he's the Pig I go after. Only a few named and other mobs in the entire zone are higher level than him!
Give him some mage pet toys, haste him with Druid Savage Spirits, add a DS, perhaps even Mammoth Strength and watch the pig quad for 190+! I even see a non-melee 55 dmg proc quite often which must be his tusks or something.
He's prolly got over 10k HP too so tanking 2-3 trash mobs at a time isn't a problem. Just have to keep him snared and watch for charm breaks! :-)
We killed him 2x last night. He spawned in different places both times. Got the Sash amd the Gloves. We were 55 war, 54 monk, 54 ranger, 57 cleric, 52 cleric, 59 chanter. The hall leading into the statue room only has 1 wanderer so it is a good pull spot.
Ok, we tried this guy last night, myself, a 61 necro with loz+fp 61 beastlord with epics and a 59 druid. killed this mob last night.
we invised and went to a passage north of this mob's room. We cleared the mobs around him by me snare-pulling them and fd-splitting them and beastlord tagging them. They mobs around the named were blue cons to me and casters but usually i resited everything and we managed to clear a way to this named mob in about 15min. Small note: the adherants gate when low on health and if they gate, you might get adds. plus they heal about 10-20percent health each gate.
Now for the Dulein. First of all, pulling him is a major pain. I have semi-decent resists (around 50 in everthing, unbuffed) and i got hit for 400, then 600 damage. I then fd'ed and beastlord tagged it and we kicked this guys butt.
He went down fast. sure, we all went a little crazy, but fighting adherants was harder than fighting this guy. Put it this way, if your group can kill adherants without much downtime, you can take down this guy :) One thign to remember though, he will try to gate at low health so get get those nukes ready when he gets under 10% or so.
He dropped the gloves for us, was a decent upgrade for me, but of course we were hoping for the enchanter belt to turn it into much needed plat. I am guessing this mob can be soloed. It can be snared, so it can be agro kited. It doesnt summon, it didnt rampage/enrage/etc. It didnt resist much either.
Ok, killed this guy about 20-30 times now both solo and with my friend wolvencry.
he drops the gloves nearly every single time. we got the sash 2-3 more times. no ft shawl. ever. i am really beginning to doubt this ft shawl thing is real :(
I've fought him twice. Both times he was up and in the same place. However, it was two different nights. Right now I'm assuming he always spawns and doesn't have a PH. If I learn more I'll post it.
As for location. When you enter the zone, follow the lava river on the right side. Once the cavern opens up move out of the river. There will be a large room on your right. This room has between 10 and 14 mobs in it. He is past this room at the enterance to the room with the Idol to Innorouk. He has always been the mob on the left side of the enterance to this room.
I think he spawns anywhere within the same room... which is basically loaded with mobs. I didn't count them personally but it was around 15 or so in rather close proximity... So it makes me think that unless you are rather high level you are going to have to pull most of the place in 2's just to get to the named...
He spawned 2 times for us, once right after the other, but in DIFFERENT spots... so he is either very common random/rare or something.
He dropped the gloves for use both time.

This room can be single pulled. We did so last night. Started with the one in front then pulled from the right side around the corner into the hallway away from wanderers. This named guy spawned for us in the front spot and was an easy kill for 61 monk, 61 druid, 57 cleric, and 53 ranger.
