Nothing random about it just killed him and it's definately the top 2 slots, although buffs such as familiar, or a summoned mount may make it appear random as they can not be dispelled and it skips that slot and goes to the next, Just got my ornate boot pattern off him woot! can lose the damn mage ring and wear my emp key when i finish it :-D

This guy isnt that tough but you needa be ready for what he will do. First of all, as said before he has an AE dispell, but its not just the first two slots, but it has some random element to it. Second thing I would like to point out is that he doesnt seem to be on a timer as my group got him twice in a row, all you need to do is kill the PH which is in a little room in the west wing, right off of where you can warp down to courtyard (PH is normally a kriger from what I've seen).
Last note is that he dropped something called a "Scepter of Lightning" for us last night:

I spent pretty much all of last night in the West wing, and from 7 PM to 2 AM he didn't show once. In that time, we got 5 Wybjorn spawns down the other hallway, but nothing but Krigers in Torstien's cubby.
Is this consistent with what others are seeing? Is he that rare? Sad if so...considering all that's listed as dropping off him is one boot pattern and a stone that can be had from the other named in the wing. (And I see now the other post about the Earring of Thunder...would still like to see a little more variety in his drops to bring up up to speed with the others.)
BTW, for clarification...there are 2 named down the West Wing. You either see the named or a PH (Kriger) at the spawn point every 30'ish minutes on respawn.
Torstien spawns up the first stairs on the left from the entry, then around the left corner as you enter the "Courtyard Portal" room.
For Wybjorn, you go straight from the West entryway, turn right down the hall, then left and he's at the far wall in the big room furthest west.
Hreidar (wing mini) spawns just in front of the bed to Wybjorn's right (facing them).

Be advised...he gates, and it's not a pretty sight if ya pulled him a bit away from spawn point...specially if there's other giants in between

This mob pop in West and it is a mini named.
He is slowable,stunnable,easy too kill.
He AE dispell 2 slots but not long range.
i have seen drop spectral parchments and ornates.

This fella only dropped a spec parchment for us. But very easy fight, considering we had no buffs half the time. =)
Dropped Ornate Silk Shoes pattern for me.
This guy doesn't hit very hard for a named and is slowable. Be sure not to use charmed pets on him because of his AE dispell.

This guy has an AE dispell. Hope this helps anyone out there trying to fight him. He's up with the lightning giants too.
