Ok anyone have the exact location of this dude and spawn time, does he have to be spawned from killin at his spawn area or what? I need him for the warrior epic
Dedicated to all you people who are tired of the sh*t posts and spam that are so damn common on these mob profiles.
I just killed him this afternoon. We tried a different tactic than most.
The first tactic is the one everyone uses:
Enchanter + War Boar (pet with haste mask, mage weapons and belt) + 65Cleric + 65 Cleric.
As said below, mob will stay on the pet unless a 5th party gets any type of aggro (i.e. hitting the overseer, healing a member of the Overseer's Aggro list.
As an Enchanter (65), I have learned a few things about this mob, and charm trio'ing it. This can easily by done by 3 people. What I do is I clear out the piggy room (the room before the hog farm). There should be two mobs on opposite corners, and a wanderer. Tash and Charm "a War Boar"...."Total Domination 3" is a must (Enchanter AA skill). Send the boar at the corner mobs, then finally at the wanderer. Now start clearing the tunnel toward the overseer's camp.
Mob respawn is roughly 27 minutes, so you have some time. When you've cleared to the overseer, get in the room, and hang a right into his lair. Overseer will be on the opposite side of the room. Have the chanter go back in the hall, invis and recharm the pet. Use the hallway for a runway. Now, the overseer doesn't have a large aggro radius, so walk towards him til you're in healing range.
Tash the overseer to pull and send the pet in (with chanter haste, mage mask/weapons). The pet will get aggro as the overseer passes the pet. Slow immediately and cripple immediately. Now just chanter nuke, and use Asphyxiate, as it has some STR/DEX debuffs on it. Both clerics should be chain CH'ing. It is important that the clerics have a bunch of AA's for critical heals...and some nice equipment. The fight, when you get down to the final 15% gets hairy. Clerics go oom if they don't have nice equipment, and all is lost. Before the overseer enrages, root him and when he enrages, pull the pet off the overseer. When enrage is done, send it back in to finish him off.
You have now soloed the Overseer.
Another way to do it is with 4 clerics. Appoint two clerics as the main clerics. When they are almost OOM, have them hit a "GATE" button that tells the group he/she is gating, so the backup cleric can cover CH's while the OOM cleric gates. Both will cast about at the same time, GATE will gate the OOM cleric out and take him off the AGGRO list, thus allowing the new cleric who is already casting his CH to the pet to take the OOM cleric's space on the aggro list.
If mana is an issue, the above should be your cure-all.
Enjoy the how-to!

Posted:Dec 15 2003 at 4:10 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Killed him with 3 toons. Right tatics and it is a breeze. Dropped A blood bladed dagger today and a few days ago Ornate Chain Tunic Pattern, rune and spec. Telling you 3 toons did it should give away enough info for you to figure out how to do it.
Tonight we did him with 6. I have tried before with 4 and got wiped when charmed Diaku Scout died faster then I could CH, but I didn't try to slow.
Tonight we did him with 6 this way: Group makeup were all 65. Enchanter, Magician, Shaman, 2 druids, cleric.
Enchanter had charmed Diaku Scout fully buffed. Enchanter tashed Overseer then ran and got COH. Shaman Malos then ran and got COH. Shaman Malosinia then ran and got COH. Shaman Slowed then ran and got COH.
Sent in charmed Diaku Scout and snared rooted Overseer. Kept him rooted. All were runed and each druid and cleric did get summoned but since mob was rooted and slowed just ran out and got re-runed.
No one died. Dropped Glyphed Rune Word and Ornate Chain Tunic Pattern.

Just started over on Ragefire with a friend. Ragefire is a time locked progression server.
Tried to take this guy out again the other day. We had two groups there so used a MT method which didnt work very well. Every time we went at him after a minute or so he lost aggro on the MT totally and killed me (cleric) and other cleric and everyone else. Whats funny is that the MT was one of the last people to die.
I been trying to find this guy and his spawn area. At the time of night when I get there, there is no one in Tactics; well generally no one except maybe someone camping Piglet.
If anyone is willing to provide information on his spawn point, I would appreciate it.
Between the 2 halls down in the pit is a connecting hall off that hall, about in the middle of the connecting hall is a room, when u go in he will be on your left. Sorry no loc
Tried him with a initiate of zek chanter pet, me, and a druid on heals. It didnt work very well dont think the initiate has enough HP's. This guy does so much damage that if you cast CH when the pet engages the pet will be dead by the time the heal lands. My advice: start CH way before the pet even engages like 4-5seconds before and for first heal have both healers do it at the same time so the pet is practically full health again by the time its slowed.
This stuff about tactics having a weird aggro list, and about people wiping bringing two groups with two pets and the pets not being able to keep aggro demonstrate a fundamental misunderstanding about how aggro works with charmed pets. It has nothing to do with the clerics getting too much healing aggro, or there being anything special about the plane of Tactics.
Quite simply, if there are more than 4 people/pets on a mob's aggro list, the mob WILL NOT attack a charmed pet. So: Two clerics + enchanter + charmed pet = 4. Pet generates tons of aggro, mob stays on pet. Two Clerics + Enchanter + charmed pet + AM3 Ranger = 5. Pet still generates tons of aggro, but the mob is no longer "allowed" to attack it, so he goes for the clerics instead.
This change was made to prevent charmed pets from tanking for raids. As evidenced here, it didn't really do the job.
This isn't 100% true. While it is absolutely true that you need to keep the number under 4 for a charmed pet to retain a lock on a target, a mob is not prohibited from attacking a charmed pet if there are more than four on the hate list. We were using using a charmed pet in HOH the other night with a Chanter, a Mage (+pet) and a Druid. That makes a total of 5 PC/Mobs on the mobs hate list and the mob kept aggro fine.
I think the key is that if a mob only has four slots filled on its hate list it WILL NOT leave the charmed pet regardless of how much aggro is generated by the rest of the group. After 4, the mob has a less firm grip on the mob and a CH rotation will pull the mob off every time.
Just my two cents.

Charmed pets can not hold aggro with more than 4 on the hate list. There's no if ands or butts about it. Any example to show otherwise is either a bug or more likely a misconception.
As other post said this guy is melee unfriendly. Still haven't killed him, we didn't have have ranged damage dealers. Should have one tank, a couple clerics and some wizards/rangers/mages. Anything that melees will get the AE Ramapage. It seems to be a small range AE, have to be in melee range for it to it you.
Ok heres how you do this guy with 3 people and a pet. You need 2 cleric and an enchanter. You clear the area then send the pet in and the clerics heal the pet and the chanty slows. Thats all you need. The reason that alott of people have trouble one grouping this guy is because they aproach him with the old mob mentalitly. IE slow tank with a full group. The mobs in Tactics have a hate list of 4 pc and npc anything over that will cause them to go crazy. IE 2 clerics a enchanter and pet = 4. We farm this guy EVERY day just like this. We have tried adding melee, a AM3 ranger and it totally wiped up, then we tried a tank same thing happened even with 2 clerics. The overseer was passing so much damage around and the tank and pig you couldnt keep both up. I have no idea the HP on the pigs but its massive, alott more then a 8K tank for sure. So anyway find u a couple of good healers and a chanty that has good AA in charm and you are a rich person, lol well who ever wins the drops :). We do Glyk with a similiar pattern but use a tank and a ranger for that one.
Please explain what you mean by Tactics having a hate list of 4 and more people causing issues?
We tried to do this guy the other day after we killed Glykus. We had 2 groups and sent in 2 boar pets.........the first one got owned so fast it wasn't funny and the heal aggro generated on healing the second one got our cleric owned fast too...........i.e. how do you get around the heal aggro issue because it is massive when healing boars with a bunch of HPs..........ok so the 2 adds that came from no where didn't help matters either but this guy was pretty hectic - no doubt about it.
This guy is one grpable. or at least for me lol. Hits pretty hard. Best is mini raids. maybe 2 grps can take him easy can use chanter pet but has to be a good chanter. 2 tank types. need a warrior with disc, AE taunt. and he is cake. 2 healers is all u need.
well what my guild does, is pretty much they send in a ranger to weaponshield, during that time he gets malos'd, tashed, and then all people who can slow cast it... then when it lands, Mt goes in defensive and ae taunts it.
then healers keep him alive, and we nuke and use arrows to kill him.. easy.
He does pretty low HP for his level, but he has an AE Rampage that Triples for about 1600.
Easiest done with a couple of pets from the pig farm just down the hall.
Send in a Tank and your pets, and start your heal rotation. When he gets to about 50% health all your other melees charge in. As they charge all use either an Avoidance Disc, or for like myself, WhirlWind Disc. This will save you from the AE Rampage.
By the time your Disc ends you either have him dead or so near death that he doesn't Rampage again. If he does and you are fully buffed, you may still live but for sure not be very well off.
We tried him last night with 2 ench pets, but enchanters did not have good AAs to keep pets charmed long enough...so we whiped. It was too late for me to try again.....but he has very low HP...Will cream your melees pretty quick with the AoE rampage. When I got hit think I took 3.2k or so damage, and then another 3.2k to bring me down(cleric).
He hits for 1680 now. He rampages, and slow does land on him but it is mitigated. Make sure MT gets agro cause no one else will last long against him. With my defensive disc up I was getting pounded for 800 or so.
Guild did him yesterday .. He dropped a War Disciples Focus, Primary / Secondary Pretty nice toy, clickable abolish poison Also a blood bladed dagger and a spectral We got him with two enchanter pets and one druid, one cleric, one druid, one shaman for healing, was a fun fight!
he doesn't hit for 7k but he can doe 7k+ in one round of combat, tanked him many times, he can quad, 1600 withouth def, if your on rampage as well as tanking.. have well over 8khp and I've dropped to 30%hp WITH def, rare he hits like that but he can.
Also onless they have changed it with recent patches he isn't always 68, had him as a yellow con once.
Hits for 1600 or so, i know, been killed by him a few times, might hit you for 7k if your a naked level 1. Pretty sure he quads tho so i guess he could get close to 7k damage a round.
I've done this mob a bunch of times. Easiest kill is to have a warrior defensive tank it, and 1 (or more) Enchanter CoD pet do the DPS. A group of 5 could do it that way, e.g. warrior, cleric x 2, druid (rampage healing, snare, buffs etc.) and one enchanter.
I've also done him a few times with three people (1 cleric, 1 druid and 1 enchanter), it's a lot more risky, but doable. Enrage is the big problem, pets die *fast* even when spamming /pet back off as fast as you can...
The way we always do him is to get 3 CoD capable enchanters, grab a regular Diaku mob each from the hallway for a pet, then sicks the pets on this guy.
