Accidentally handed in my Shackle of Tynnonium and had to wait for respawn. Took him roughly 80 minutes (1h20m) to respawn. Despawned around 9:12pm, respawned at ~10:31
This guy popped while I was minding my own business trying to do the Howling Stones master key (with like 10 fableds up in zone, scaaaary). He aggroed one of several Fabled Crypt Devourers, and got quickly killed.
ok, so there i was, minding my own buisness, when all of a sudden, while im killing a skele that saw through invis and caught me comming down, this iksar attacks me. Well needless to say being a wood elf and a ranger i have never much cared for these lizard folk, i tend to look down on them much as i do the orc pawns.
needless to say he felt the same way, wo desided to take a cheep shot while i was killing the skele. now perhaps it is like my momma always said, that these lizard folk are not only dumb, but don't know a good thing when they see it, because he took a cheap shot at me and messed up my hair!
Well that was all she wrote for him, i killed the skele, then made it a point to kill this lizard that was attempting to punch on me.
Any, long story short, i pulled out my spit, and had some lizard burger. For those of you that have never tried it, it tastes like a putting some pickled froglok on a patty melt. (and yes i have put pickled froglok on a patty melt before). You crave strange things they say when you are pregnant with a druid.
well i ran into the room with a crap load of skellys on me before reading this post.....so now the question is.....whats the respawn time on Gandan???
Well i was writing this Gandan is on about 30-40 min respawn timer, so if you kill him with a skelly train....FD relax....go get a drink and wait a bit.....oh...and bring a gate potion....HS is a ***** to get out of without one

Unfortunately he is kos to the skellys in the rooms around his. I ran my monk to him thinking I could just FD off agro when I got to his room, but he took all of the agro instead and was stomped by 4 or 5 skellys.
Came across him with 67 Wood Elf Druid, 60 Barbarian Rogue and 65 High Elf Wizard (Me). While we stood there discussing whether to kill him he summoned me and began to beat on me so he decided for us. I might add I am ally to legion of Cabillis (I kinda grew up in Kunark killing Sarnaks). Seems he don't care much for High Elves.
Gandan Tailfist places a foul smelling book in your hands and speaks to you slowly. 'Take this rotting book given to me by lord Cazic Thule himself, I was given another but it has been lost. The search for the fists will be the end of me. If you are a monk of the final rung show me your Shackle of Tynnonium and I will share with you what I have found.'
[Hand him the Shackle of Tynnonium]
Gandan Tailfist says 'The search for the fists has killed many so I hope that your strength is more than mine and those in the past. I was given this satchel by the lord Cazic Thule. I have searched for the fists in this place but they are not here. I suggest you seek audience with our lord. Tell him that I have failed in my task. I am sure that he ugnnnnnhnnn.' One last look to you is given before falling completely lifeless to the cold stone.
I solo in this zone for fun. ANd his directions are right on. You only need one person to escort you a 61 + mage can clean out the entrance, the drop area and the tunnel to your epic mob with ease. Gemy 61 mage Emerald Dragon Clan Server :Lays T
To find Gandan, you have to fall off the trap floor at zone in just to the east. Then if you're facing the closest pathway where skeletons are roaming, the pathway you want is behind you (to the west). Go around the portal that takes you back to the zone in point and go through the opening. There are 2 pyre golems tucked in the corners as soon as you walk into the hallway, so watch out for them. Take the right / north passage, around a bend to the right until you get to a room w/ 1 staircase. He will be located in the far left corner of that room.
He summons. His combat is basic... double attacks for 145 with an occasional kick.
In the newly revamped Howling Stones I found him at pos305 neg35 neg175. He's not far in from a trap you find just to east of the zone in (after you fall for 400+ damage. New HS seems to be filled with falling traps... I recommend levitation.
