if you have the rest of your group on the other side of the tunnel through the water waiting you can single pull him easy to there and the other adds will not follow we did this tonight it worked a treat .
So that is where those storms came from. Was in PoS root-doting froggys last night while a bunch of peeps were trying to kill him and all of a sudden I see a wave of storms comming at me. I got to 5% and evaced.
Unfortuneatly, my frog decided that cleric legs might taste good and mauled them.
It would be a VERY good idea (in my humble judgement), especiall as there are PoS newbs (like I was yesterday when I didn't know about the storms) for peeps to shout out that they are going to kill a named and to stay clear.
I felt bad that they wiped from my frog but between them and me, as they brougth on the storms, I choose me (and I still feel bad because if I had known, I could have pulled the frog somewhere else).

Well look at it this way, if you died, the frog still would of mauled the clerics. Were you charm fighting using the frogs? If so what hill were you on?
The best place to pull is near the underwater tunnel, there are no wanderers there or anything to agro. If they were pulling to frog kite hill then they already made a mistake.
We hunt in pos this night with group of 4 and try this guy. We evac with mob at 77%. This is what i can tell from this test : - Can't be harmo but his guards (2) can be. So by cleaning 4 mobs (all single with harmo) he can be single pull. - immune slow - rampage - seems to have 170K hp - 900+ max hit (parse at 175 dps with def for the little fight) - don't seem to flurry
took him down with 2x 64 chanter, 65 druid, 65 cleric, 63 necro, and 65 ranger. immune to slow, can be crippled. has no chance against 3 charmed froggies. hurricane loreks are better pets than typhoon loreks, fyi...
We found out something fairly interesting about these storms the named giants generate. It seems as if they only have 1hp each. If everyone in raid has a DS then the storms will only hit once each then die. Doesn't mean you might not lose a cleric or druid now and again. Also stay a bit away from the giant if you are a caster. Range seems to decrease the number of storms that hit you. If you are a healer make sure you stay out of the way or the storms will get you almost everytime.
This guy and the other Forest Giant miniboss (Laruken) can summon 'Storms'. We took him out by having some druids kite the storms about while we killed him off. Once he was dead killing the storms was easy.
The local frogs make incredable pets, we used them as the main tanks on the minibosses they hit for up to 580. Note: snare them before you charm them or you will likely die when charm breaks.
