I just solo'd this guy, 81 mage. Well I used a tier V merc for the fight, but still it was not hard. Clearing the room was more time consuming then hard. I was worried he might CH near the end, so I burned hard on the last 29% and had lots of stun stuff on the pet. Seemed to work, he never CH.
If he did CH, I would have had to use Staunch Recovery for sure. He must have 500 to 800k HP so that would have been a serious pain.
As for being "tethered", I pulled him and one of his guards into the gargoyle hallway and he followed me in there. Don't know about how fair his tether is... but it's longer then that if it exists.
Just tried this guy with 70 bard, 70 pally, 70 bst and 70 cleric, after an hour of bringing him down to 13%-5% repeatedly (think 8 times) he ch'd and not a sissy ch, we're talking full 100%. Even had bard charm a mob that repopped and tried to finish him. Easy enough to heal clr was fm throughout but need some nukes to finish the job. Mind you none of us were uber with only one having their 1.5.
This info is not posted anywhere here but we found out the hard way. Found this on another webpage:
You must fight him in his room because he is tethered. We try to keep him in the center of the room. Be sure that noone is standing too close to the door that you entered coming in. As soon as he dies a trap will spawn here and insta-kill anyone who is standing there. So keep everyone inside of the large part of the room.
It is very important that nobody tries to enter or exit his chamber from the way that you entered, or else they will die to a trap that becomes active when he is killed. This is to prevent players from running in and mooching the flag.
We had the pull go a bit bad and she came out to hall to meet us. We killed her pretty easily but as it was in the hall we all died to the trap. Its easy to avoid if you know it is there.
Pure melee mob. Usually double attacks with lowest hit being 215 (kick) and highest being 912. Occassionally quads. he's in the tower 2nd from the left side.
This mob is a fairly vanilla fight. MT engages, the rest attack, can slow, debuff, etc. Clearing his room is easy because he won't leave it. Dropped mantle and collar for us.
9 of us cleared to this bird. Unfortunately he does Complete Heal. The heal seems to be on a timer and the closest we got to him was 13%. People came back later with 20 and killed him easy before he could heal. So if there aint that many of you get ready for a CH if you aint quick enough.
If you think the above pic looks nice, I can say that the actual mob looks a lot better when animated.
It has a pretty annoying swooping type attack that might leave you a bit dizzy if your a melee .. but all in all a big thumbs up for the art work on this one.
Any mobs in his room should be pulled and killed prior to engaging him. It's not extremely hard to pull them because like most PoP bosses he's chained to his room.
Fairly easy mob. Turgur's slowable for full. Doesn't hit exceptionally hard for a mob of this level. I don't remember many other details of him. My guild killed him easily with about 4 groups. Dropped 2 mantles
