Neffiken, Lord of Kelek`Vor

Raid Encounter
Screenshot

Uploaded July 24th, 2007

There are six giants outside the fort, a ways to the north, need to be killed to make Neffiken targettable.

Approximately 10 small ents spawn in the fort when he first takes damage. They are splittable.

Whomever tanks Neffiken will be subject to an unresistable mana drain.

  • Maximum hit: 1,400
  • Enrages: Yes
  • Doubles: Yes

They are targetable simply by killing every other of their kind in the forts AND the surrounding area. Some of them are far off and some, like the Forest ones, respawn quicker than others so you have to be fast. Did the Desert, Forest and half the Ocean forts today farming for key parts. Never killed the Lords as they would've spanked us but did make both Desert and Forest targetable.

a while back while farming giants for key parts my guild discovered this guy in the back of the ocean side fort, we pulled all the giants out of the room with him (hes untargetable) for 3 or 4 rounds while keeping the other buildings clear after a while thinking it was broke he became targetable , we pulled him and he procedded to reak havoc on my raid after the CR we said wed go back and get him later , havent been back sence its a royal pain to get him to spawn(targetable)and the loot table just isnt worth the effort,by no means an easy mob

hehe his loot table may not be fantastic, but as a Pally I would think you may want to go in to get him anyways (he is an epic 1.5 kill after all)
RE: takes time
# Apr 17 2004 at 3:34 PM Rating: Decent
You are incorrect. He does not spawn near the ocean. The ocean fort "boss" is Jeplak, Lord of Sserendi. Neffiken spawns at the forrest. Its easy enough to figure out just by matching giant types to their respective forts.

This mob is still hosed up.. We've cleared the entire Forest area on many occasions. He is still untargetable.

Only Lord we've been able to make targetable was the Coastal Giant Lord. Then he despawned a few mins after someone got prox agro and died before the raid was ready.

Desert is hosed up too as far as we can tell.. 3.29.04 the last clearing off all three sections farming BoT keys.
Still Bugged

Tried this guy yesterday, 2/29/04. He still does not become targetable after killing all the giants in the forest area.

We cleared the fort and every giant in the area. We even had trackers run around the zone seeing if they could find strays but nada. We could not target him. So we petitioned and took turns jumping on his bed.

This spawn is definatly hosed up!
Untargettable

We cleared all giants in and around the fort last night but Neffiken did not become targettable. Any idea what could have caused this? Wondered if he had been killed too recently or something.
nothing
# Nov 03 2003 at 12:20 PM Rating: Decent
Killed this guy last night with about.. 20 or less i would say. dropped him without a hassle... but he dropped absolutely nothing. I was rather disappointed, was hoping for at least a medallion to finish BoT Key.
RE: nothing
# Nov 09 2003 at 8:01 PM Rating: Default
The reason he dropped nothing is there are 2 versions, the first is the version that is 65ish, known as the fake version, the real version spawns after you kill him, that is the mob that drops the items....wouldnt suggest tryin with 20 people unless you are in all elemental gear, we just did it with 40 people and go taken down, entire raid was 60-65 most being 65...not a mob to be taken lightly unless you are in elementals like i said before.

The first virsion of Neffiken is 65 can cannot be targeted. After killing all the giants at the fort, he despawns. A new Neffiken level 70 spawns that is targetable. The raid i was in had only 16 members ranging from 65 to 70. About half the group was 70. We only had one druid, one cleric, and one shaman for healing. It was a pickup raid assembled in PoK with people that had never played together. The whole thing only took an hour, and had no deaths.
Also on loot list

Alright...

I'm a 62 Ranger, and my Guild is about to start farming PoS Lords, Named and start getting people their BoT Keys.

I've studied about the quest and the named mobs and such. Though I wish to make sure to be Clear.

On the Fake Lords, Are they on a specific Timer? Or can you make a Fake Lord spawn, by simply clearing all the giants?

Thanks for any feedback.

Not sure if aonyone else noticed it but there is an arrow in the pic flying RIGHT at his head. Looks great makes me laugh. Lucky timing on the capture.

This guy is fun.

You make him targettable by killing all the giants in and around the fort. He stands inside the center house I think beside the bed.

This guy quads for 1481 and procs a mana/stamina drain on the MT. It doesn't exactly effect a warrior, but it pretty much makes it so a Knight can't tank him. Dps wise, this guy puts out an impressive 600-650dps on the MT and ~140-180dps on the Rampage tank. His delay is 20, if I remember correctly.

Upon engaging, you're going to get a few odd adds. The adds are the trees that are beside the house. They're untargettable until he makes them come alive. Sometimes you may get 3 trees, other times you may get as many as 6 or 7. Thankfully, they're mezzable.

Overall difficulty wise, this is sort of like fighting Avatar of War with fewer HP. I'd rate this guy's HP around 200-250k with rather low AC. This guy just tends to 1-round anyone but your warriors, lol. I might add, that's humorous to watch.

:D

just did him half an hour ago. he summoned no adds when we did it. hit for 1481 max on me as a ranger, flurrys, rampages, rages, i THINK quads. dropped our 2 best tanks and fourth best tank in 20 seconds, then on our 3rd best tank who finally got agro the priests got settled in. this needs a TIGHT cheal rot, and LOTS of spam heal. CHs take way to long for it alone, this guy puts out some MAD DPS. unslowable afaik. he has very little HPs though.. we had just come from Dain and he had around half (or less) HP than Dain does - as a reference. by the time he was dead we didnt have much left in the way of melees. i didnt even have time to hit weaponshield disc when i got agro and rage hit. dropped 2 or 3 medallions, a spec, and the bard wep. just some info. id say harder than AOW.

have done him again, was weird. first try he proc'd adds, had some prob with agro on the kiters and wiped... second try no adds.. so id say agro him with a monk to get the adds, FD, wait till adds despawn (i think its 8 minutes) then pull. see what happens. /shrug.

The encounter?
# May 10 2003 at 6:05 PM Rating: Decent
What should we expect when he is first pulled? Does he summon adds? Does he proc adds like the minis?

Also when you folks take him down how many clerics you have healing the tank and with a cheal rot or Supernal light spamming?

Hoping to gank this guy in the near future and just looking for some info.

Thanks in advance

When you 1st aggro trees spawn right next to his building. I usually take them and run them into the forrest/fade aggro away. He is tethered to the building, fighting him from outside the door may make the whole zone crash (it did for us) we have also had huge laag spikes @53% when the zone did not crash, not sure what those were about will probably try him again, after next patch. We got him to 27% even though our tanks went out with the lag. Have to watch the rampage.

The trees beside the fort come alive. They hit for 300's and will chew up your casters. Be weary. At least that's what happened to us.

Got him on VS today

We did him today with 36 in raid, and we had 3 or 4 druids with charmed lorok frogs that helped alot. Some re-charmed wandering frogs after 3 died, and there were plenty of player deaths. Very fun...dropped the Cobalt Ring of the Squall and 3 medallions for the BoT key quest Smiley: yippee

For as tough as this **** is (unslowable and hits me for a max of 1481) you'd think this item would have at least FT3. :/

Considering the fact that this giant is on par or tougher than the AoW, he does have some pretty underpowered loot.
