Yup the trick to this guy is dps. My guild just tried with about 42 people and he killed us at 76% because of the tank dying, but before that we had to kill and rez very fast to even have a chance of pulling the damn guy. I'd say with 55-60 and with all spot heals being thrown on the tank there should be no problem at all with dps.

PS- Melee damage and Wizard lures are the best way to damage him. After all the debuffs he still resists regular nukes quite a bit, the only other thing you can do is land malo, mala, hos, hand of ro and the cold druid debuff but that's a lot of aggro being thrown around in debuffs.

This guy has a boatload of HP. You better have alot of DPS. He also blinds, which we had a problem with him doing to our MT. Make sure you have bard with you singing MR...and make sure your MT has around 500MR.

None of the godslaying that you do as part of PoP progression has any effect on old-world factions.... unlike, say, a Tunare kill in PoG.

He's disease slowable, which it mitigates, as well. Almost 100% Magic resistant. His effect is a random 3500dd. Highest hit is about 2096 if I remember correctly.
He's not extrememly hard, but you definitely need a tight cheal loop on your MT. My guild had a few problems with keeping the MT alive the first few times because his 3500dd proc is random and is often one after another and can seriously mess up your loop with an instant drop in 7k hps on your tank. Each druid and shaman in your raid should be blast healing your tank at all times to pad against this random proc.
As long as your tank has established aggro and your loop is tight he'll drop with no problems. Also make sure you don't get caught with respawn of the wrulons in his room while fighting him. Some flurry and will really mess up your day.

It's probably a changed item. Sometimes Sony changes a dropped item slightly and alters the name, and Alla ends up with a duplicate entry of sorts. Take a look at the Itraer Vius in Akheva. The two Acrylia Fists. One no longer drops, but people who had gotten it before the change still have the old one.

Yes it is the same item with a changed name. If you look under skull belt of fallen foes, off to the side you may notice "this item has been renamed to "valiant belt of fallen heroes".

Everything big in PoP (aside from Time) is 3 days.
Elemental gods are a week. LMM's spawn time, as of this post, is kind of messed up too. It's not exactly 3 days. I've had him spawn sooner.

Any of you check out the dart of Immobility? Sweet rogue piercer! Aside from ragebringer haste this thing is actually a better weapon. They should upgrade rogue epic.

No epics will ever be upgraded. The epics were meant to be the best (or one of the best) weapons for the Kunark era and before, not every era.

I know there's really no reason to say this now, looking at the dates of this post, but Epics 2.0 will be out in Omens of War, there will also be a Epics 1.5 as a half way prize while working. You had to realize they would upgrade other classes epics after seeing the Berzerker epic - it was way out of balance with the others. I just hope they let me keep a slow proc on my ranger, or I just might not upgrade.

Ill admit i have not seen the druid blade equiped so i dont know if that is the one he weilds. We took him down and no sword at all. But just cause he droped one sword doesnt mean he cant/wont drop another... who knows maybe it is a great 2 hander for melee classes?
As for the RP in what type of loot certain gods drop... there is almost always a way around bad faction, most higher lvl chars dont have to go to a city unless they want to, it is one of the reasons certain planes dont drop certain things. PoG doesnt drop ranger / druid armor because VI / SOE doesnt want druids and rangers hunting there for loot because that wouldnt be good roleplaying. So i wouldnt be surprised if the sword he drops is SK usuable but not Paly usuable (not saying it is but i wouldnt be surprised)

Think about it, he's clad in armor, wields a sword, speaks of truth and honor, practically the definition of a paladin. Anyway, VI no longer does the upkeep of EQ, it's all on the shoulders of SoE or Sony online Entertainment. They won't be creating anymore classes or races since PoP was the final expansion. Probably won't make any new skills, spells, or zones even though it was a land slide in favor of adding new zones after PoP. For your comment on LIS vs. Mith Marr, won't happen so we can't debate on it. Even if it were possible and it did happen then you would have to factor in all stats and spells of said monsters including level, ac, damage, hit points, etc, etc... So, unless you know the exact stats on both it's nearly impossible to tell unless you have faced both and held agro, experienced spell damage, and calculated ac by looking at how hard you hit and compare how often you hit compared to how often you miss. Besides, Mith Marr is a second tier god that takes multiple quests to get to, LIS is the ruler of a city that takes a couple to get to. /rant off. No offense :P
omg with all the pal/sk swords out there and you're ******** about the ONE druid only weapon! i think the last druid only weapon we've seen was the ONE in luclin that is inferior to the epic. get over being selfish. there is like very few druid only items in this game and there are very few items they can wear period. the things they can wear are usually shaman and cleric usable and then those two classes seem to take priority in getting them.

I'm sure that the reason Mithaniel Marr wouldn't drop any weapons usable by Paladins is because Paladins are not supposed to be slaying other Paladins (and especially their own God, for that matter, if you worship him)

Actually there is a nice RP put in by SOE this time. Mithaniel Marr loves to battle, and will accept any honorable challenge made to him.
Most Paladin's would envy a chance to duel their god in honorable combat. And would consider the chance to do so a great honor and a priveledge.
So, that's why we get to fight him. /shrug. Better than just going up and murdering him, like you had to do with tunare. :)
