I timed it four times with the stopwatch feature on my phone, and each time the spawn was 36 minutes, not 40. Not a big deal I guess, but I like being precise.

OK does anyone know how often this guy spawns...i have been there for 3 days for more than 5 hours at a time and got nothing but his PH's. This is rather annoying considering my guild is raiding PoF this weekend which would be a perfect time for me to do my hand-in to cazic. Any info on this would be great. This is last thing i need before the hand-in w/ cazic.

ok just to post feed back...he finally spawned for me. i had a 70 ranger and me at the time of his spawn and he went down without a problem. he dropped the glowing fist and now i have to do the turn into cazic. This was by far the worst part of doing this quest. SOE really shouldnt make mobs spawn behind locked doors if your class cant pick the lock...or do a key quest at least come on.
The triggered version does enrage. I managed to duo him with my 54 monk and a somewhat groggy 70 rogue friend. (Who, being groggy, didn't notice the enrage message and made the fight a lot closer than it needed to be!) We did have help clearing down to the crypt, but both enchanters we'd brought along ended up swan-diving off the bridge to the lower level and had to gate out. I was a bit nervous giving away my shackle with just the two of us there for the fight, no slower, no healer. But we did fine.
Okay, I havent seen any good info on this mob, so I had to go in and take him without really knowing what to expect. I had a full group, lvl's from about 50-65, with the 65 being a cleric who could have soloed him easy. This group was overkill, really. When you first come to him (he was up when we came in), in his room, which is correctly written as being just south of the pyramid and north of the crypt. We had a rogue with a picklock of 210 (need at least 201), he got the door open easy. He was blue to me (55 monk), and indifferent to all in our group, so it is easy to set up around him to prepare. I then handed in my Tynn shackle *sniff*, then he instantly despawned, and respawned as "a fallen iksar master", lvl 57. He hit for a max of 139, but mostly hit below 100, and was very easy once slowed. Had about 12k hp's. With us on him (55 monk, 65 cleric, 52 rogue, 55 shaman, 57 druid 65 mage), we took him down very quickly, about 30 secs. No faction hits. Like I said, the cleric could have soloed him easy, although you do need a rogue to get past the door. Dropped Faintly Glowing Fist and nothing else. Note- NO, you do *not* get your Tynnonium Shackle back, I did the three trials twice and now wear WF and Tynn Shackle; it really is worth it.
You know it's always something. For my wizard's epic is was PoFear, for my Monk's epic it was the horrid pipes and now for his whistling fists this is basically the guy that is the whole quest. I really wish they would at the very least keep the damn kill mobs out from behind locked doors with no keys...
Liveye (lvl 65 Wizard)
PS- I know there's hardly a point in a monk getting whistling fists and the epic but still it's 12/20.
I only have this mob to kill to finish my Fist quest and I have never really hunted in OS. Do you have to go through the Pyramid to get to him past the locked door? If so is there a key or do I need a rouge?
>>UPDATE<< Just finished getting the Faintly Glowing fist from him tonight. The locked door can only be opened by a rogue with a picklock skill of 201+. As far as the camp goes pretty easy for a few 52+ to hold after breaking the area. He is located in the room just north of the Crypt and south of the pyramid. >>UPDATE<<
I have been camping this guy a bit this week, spent one day from 7pm-4am camping him, got PH's every time, the next day we spent the same amount of time camping him and got PH's again. This is the last piece of the whistling fists I need to complete. I've done Zhaoku and have the satchel, one tome, and the other 2 items (not including the drop from zhaoku) I need to combine in the satchel and I cannot get this ******* to spawn. Can anyone offer any information as to how rare/common he is? Everyone on my server is sayin he is EXTREMELY Common, but i've yet to see him =(
Derakahn lvl 48 IKSAR monk of the lost circle, soon to have whistling fists as well...i hope hehe. And a proud member of the Well of Souls on Tarew Marr
Kind of obvious, he's a skeleton and he's a monk. He's a monk who died. Get a clue and stop using your philosophy 101 skills that will get you a nice cushy register job at denny's some day...
