Well see if I see it again as im doing around 5-6 mobs in the area still will prob be here a good while.
Was doing hunter prob killed 25 or so ph's and it spawned and dropped the boots yay me. its either a hit or miss rng.
I had some time off of work and school with the kids, so I decided to give it a try, to see how hard the boots were to get. I wish I had taken a tally for all of the phers. I came down here in mid December and killed the pher every 20 min as much as I could throughout the days, from 9 am to 11 pm, give or take other things I had to do. I did this for about 4 weeks before I got a named. I would have to guess almost 150 phers. The named popped and it dropped ..the mask. So I stuck to it and just got the boots to drop on January 26th 2016. So 2 named pops from about 250 phers or so I would say. Stunning...

Just wanted to verify that this guy still pops in the same location listed in other posts. The problem with him is that he appears to have a less than 5% chance of popping. As it stands right now, I have had over 100 pops (I stopped counting at 50) of his PH in the last month with only one (1) "a virulent mosquito" pop. I have my ranger parked there, I log on and kill the PH while leveling a lowbie alt. Note that I am not counting the PH that is there when I log in because that generally is the PH I left the day prior (I never leave before the PH has popped). At roughly a 19 minute spawn cycle, I have already spent over 30 hours camping this guy. If the darn boots ever came up for sale on bazaar I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

some of what people posted was a little unclear wanted to clear things up and give everyone what i found out while camping this Mob First of all Trever is right on the Location i was a little confused about his directions but then figured out which side he was talking about just in case ill leave a loc for it which is 906.19,162.37,-62.61 the Skeeter in this spot is your PH your also going to be in for a long camp so be ready first day i camped him i did it for 8 or 9 hours didn't pay much attention cause didn't think it would be that long in that time i got him to spawn 1 time and he dropped the mace today i camped him for 12 hours and got it to spawn 1 time again and dropped the boots so total of 2 times in 20 hours soloed it as a 75 Nec easy of course it summons and there are 3 blobs and another skeet in the room so you'll have company when you break the room I'm pretty sure this covers everything you would need to know Good Luck and Happy Hunting btw this camped Sucked i will NEVER return

Confirmed at the location 906,162 in the Sewers. The "a virulent mosquito" is located in the Sewer room connected to a cave with three mosquitoes. Respawn on the PH seems to be ~15 minutes. The camp was a pain even at level 80 with some Crystallos gear. All the mosquitoes See Invis, have a HUGE aggro range and the oozes WILL come with them. The place holder mob will Enrage so be prepared to turn off auto attack.

Just to clarify the location:
If you are in the room with the three mosquitos with the underwater passage to the temple area, go west. The room in that location will spawn two mosquitos on the walkway. The one on the left (south side of room) is the PH. Spawn rate must be really low. I've spent spare afk hours with a timer for hundreds and hundreds of kills, until today. Boots still drop as of Oct 4, 2013. Good luck to anyone else who camps this. Great item for a bard.

Confirmed a Virulent drops the Diseased War Mace, just got it today. Am hoping the drop information for Deseased is correct in light of this, since I am after clicky boots...
This guy spawns in the very first room in the sewers that has 2 mosquito's in it - the very first mosquito in that room is your placeholder - from the red mass camp make the right to the diseased mosquito room take another right and kill that mosquito then take a left and the first mosquito facing you is the placeholder and I believe the mosquito next to it is placeholder for a graystriped mosquito.

he is one of the deepest spawns ok go down first room is FT boot room then head right 2 spawn room then take nother right 4 spawn room i belive counting the ooz er swirling ooz that pops between the 2 rooms then head left he pops in that room think 3 pop in his rooom
so recap go into first room take right enter next room take nother right enter that room take left and enter that 4th room if you can clear that far in b4 repop you are good i do it with my 65 ench~cler~mage 3 box GL(=

Anyone have a loc for this mob ? Can it be Solo'd ?
This skeeter does indeed spawn in the sewers/grid. Dropped the Diseased War Mace (stats posted below) for us last nite.
