Binkl Dirkwafer blinks and stares at you for a moment. 'Are you daft?'

You say, 'What home?'

Binkl Dirkwafer says 'Fleh! Don't make fun of my home. It's my home. Go Away.'

Dropped nothing but 5 plat or so when killed tonight.

No faction hits.

We had a raid of 18-20 people there to kill the Swarmfiend, and this was way overkill.

I snared him and brought him over to the safe valley and evaced myself. When I went back he was still there in a safe place for me to mess with him so he's not rooted or tethered to his fireplace.

If you say "What are you doing here?" he says something to the effect that he's living in his home and that I should go to mine.

I also said a bunch of other things to him which ended with "I'm going to #*)( kill you." So finally I engaged him with only self buffs on. To my surprise, he summons and can triple for up to 150ish. At around 17% he gates. He's not a trivial mob for me to solo (a 65 druid with almost 200AAs and EP gear) -- if he had not gated, I would have had about 4 or 5% mana left when I had killed him.

I've been unable to drag guildies out to UP to kill him and see what (if anything) he drops. They're mainly worried that they'll ruin an unfixable faction. /sigh

I managed to off him tonight. I charmed a zelniak, went over and had it start pounding on him. He was taking a pretty good beating when the $*#() dispelled my snare so I evaced (zelniaks in UP aren't snareable so I was pretty SoL). When I came back, the two were still duking it out.

When Binkl got to 16%, he gated and regenned to 33%. This left him with a little more health than the zelniak so as soon as he killed the zelniak, I started alternating stuns and nukes on him. He went down fast but dropped nothing but some coin. He gave no death message and no faction adjustments.

For the sake of being complete, his spawn point is at about -720, -1260. I'm waiting to find out his respawn time now.

I had to rate your post to Awful. So you managed to "off" a quest NPC. That does nothing to advance the knowledge of the quest he gives.

Well, to everyone's knowledge, there -is- no quest attached to him; that's why he's listed as 'non-quest' up there. He's not the only 'loose thread' in Everquest.

He's a crazy gnome living in the middle of a lethal wacky-land, and people are merely curious what the creators had intended when they put him there O_o

Your post is even more useless than his is, so you are rating unfairly.

P.S. the name listed for him is spelled wrong. It's Binkl Dirkwafer not Blinkl Dirwater.

This is alil gnome in a house in the South corner of the zone, noone i talk to knows the deal bout this guy, but i got a thougt, one he wont talk to you invisi, two tere are about 4 skellies in the house wth him...hesays something like i cant believe your out there with these monsterz..nothing else...no clues, nothing, sooooo...im gonna talk to him once more, with about 2 groups that got my back..since its a 20min respawn you gotta work fast, im gonna try to give him the large zhelniak teeth i got from the camels...ill tell you how it goes by next week /shrug....Anyone with info POST=-)
