Zlandicar's heart gives what 12hp tick? As an iksar, I get 18hp tick for a total of 30hp tick regen if I have this equipped.
Arch Lich takes 31 HP/tick and turns it into 20 Mana/tick. Medding, I now gain 20 mana tick and lose 1 HP/tick.
Demi Lich takes 48 HP/tick and turns it into 31 Mana/tick. Medding, I gain 31 mana and lose 18 HP/tick.
As you can see. This iksar necromancer will never be /gsaying OOM, and your cleric won't have to be wasting heals on me. In fact, your necromancer can now become the healer for the casters in the group, and let the cleric deal with the tanks. I don't own this one yet, but I have put my natural regen to good use in groups by backup healing on casters so the clerics don't have to waste the mana. I can only dream of what I could do holding a dragon heart in my hand.
I would rather be a stupid iksar necro, than a dead softskin necro.

AH! Finally found this post again. I remembered seeing it a long time ago and just wanted to reply to it since as of now there are the new SoL abilities. Just to Tweak the above statement just a bit: Arch Lich is currently 20mana for 31 hp per tic. Being an iksar you will have about 18hp regen per tic but more *supposedly* 50+. with the 12hp/tic regen from the heart(regeneration is ONLY 5 hp per tic btw if you check the spell data) sitting down. So in short with this in hand and sitting you will be on a 20mana/1hp conversion. Now that SoL is out, you can train a few points into innate body rejuvination to gain an extra 3hp/tic. You will be gaining a positive 20mana from arch lich, a positive 2hp/tic from the heart+sitting+iksar regen+AA abilities, AND since you will be sitting your regular meditation skill will be active allowing you to gain whatever mana you would from that. So we are looking at at least a positive 30-40+ mana/tic, and a positive 2hp regen per tic. This is a very very very impressive item for a necromancer to have, and on the Innoruuk Server (one of the few severs that never split thus destroying our economy) most Necromancers choose to have this instead of their epic. Well thats pretty much all I had to say. May your loots be many, while your CRs are few. =D
ps. just came back to update my post. At www.castersrealm.com we were informed that a new arch lich is on test (35mana/53hp instead of the regular 20mana/31hp conversion table)

i think you confused arch lich with lich. Lich is level 49, and gives 20 mana per tick, demi is level 56 and gives 30 a tick. arch i think gives 35, but im not sure, i guess go look on castersrealm if you care. Another thing tho, the -hps are not quite accurate, since they are figured in at pvp damage, so you actually lose only 66% of whats stated on castersrealm. Thats why innate regen is so goood.
In addition, the DE that thinks using zland heart gives him 18 hp a tick regen sitting is wrong. Unless you are factoring in AA regen or something. Iksars at level 60 regen 18 hp a tick sitting i believe. I doubt a level 50something DE regens 13 a tick normally +5 from zheart.
