HA HA HA HA HA A Ranger with this is still just a deader faster speed bump....
Why would you want Anger on Ranger...this is for TANKS..not kiting. Sorry..being alittle sarcastic.

I use a Featherwood with this aug and it works great for maintaining aggro while kiting. Means I don't need to drop as many Flame Licks and Summer Dew's on the mob.
During kiting you want as much aggro as possible, especially grouped with aggro ***** Wizzies/Necros :-) so a hate aug in your bow is VERY much a good thing. I'm not saying put a hate aug in every bow and definately not your main DPS one, but it is a good way to recycle one of your old ones.

Responding to an old post, but wth... By tank I assume that you mean plate tank, which of course is going to tank better than a chain class. Having said that, my ranger tanks just fine, at least up to Icefall named anyway. Haven't tried Vald yet. Before the "mana sponge" catcalls begin, my boxed cleric stays FM on steady pulls for the most part, unless I'm tanking one of the armor dropping named. And I'm not particularly uber geared. Because a ranger tank is more limited, doesn't mean we can't tank at all.
Hate augs are important to me since I also have a mage and wizard in my boxed set, and really don't feel like rezzing them on a regular basis. I also tank for guildies when a plate tank isn't available. Hate augs help me keep agro without casting.
Might want to work your way out of Kunark and join the rest of us in the TSS era. It's wonderful. Really.

Responding to an old post. The first poster was still a twit because putting this in a bow slot wouldn't increase your melee agro, only your ranged, therefore you get agro when bowing. Not something you'd want to do. If you as a multi-boxer chose to have a ranger for a tank good luck and enjoy, you were obviously looking for a challenge.
