Jolt is resisted a lot by PoP mobs, true... Proper positioning, appropriate use of autoattack, etc., can greatly reduce the need for Jolt anyway--and you don't have to avoid proc'ing weapons either. Granted, a quick succession of lucky(?) procs can pull aggro--but that's why we have hp/ac...and healers!

#ectaxyx, Posted: May 12 2003 at 2:30 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) 3 post talking about this weapons and rangers. 3 post that are clueless you tell me what ranger will be melleing mobs when they can do more dmg with a bow. OMFG FOR REAL ? not only would me as a ranger not roll on this causei dont melle but i would not even roll on it cause plain and simple this weapon would do more use in a warrior/rog/bard. specially since it dont have any dex may i add.

Any ranger claiming that rangers use their bow at all times for dps on raids is simply a ranger thats not a part of a raiding guild.

More often than not the mob is pinned in a wall/corner and the arrows will just poof. So on too many encounters the Ranger is forced to melee.

(trust me we would rather use archery if we could, but mob positioning wont always allow that)

Now, any class listed as able to use the weapon can benefit from it. 125 HP is wonderful =) and it dishes out some nice dps.

It seems to be a fairly common drop as well. My guild is 3 for 3 so far.
