heres the only thing, by the time an enchanter gets this, shouldnt he already have the spell?? just a thought, its a hella nice weapon either way.

Even for the chanters that have the spell, saving 900 mana every time someone hits you up for KEI (which has led friends of mine to make an AFK hotkey they press every time they zone with a message like "AFK--still OOM from C3'ing the last zone") is a godsend.

It's AE/grp spell. Doesnt have to be targetable, just invite and cast. Maybe I am not getting what you are saying tho.

Actually, this would be pretty nice to run across as an enchanter who, for whatever reason, hadn't gotten their epic yet. I could see this getting some use even if they have the spell as well.

Precisely my point. This staff would be useful even to an enchanter who has their epic, I was simply stating that this would be nice to have pop up when you were raiding and didn't have either.

This staff would be useful to any enc, 60+ or not, epic or not. And here's why, you and your group / raid have just wiped and you've just been rezed. Do you have enough mana for Kei, Tranquility, or VoQ? Not for a couple minutes... unless you have this in one of your bags. *CLICK* Your group now has Kei, and you will have the mana for Tranquility or VoQ, and hastes much sooner. :)
(Sadly, as so far I only have the Rod of Infinite Thought (think that's the name) which dispenses clarity, but after a rez it sure as <bleep> beats nothing. =) )
