I used to be able to send money as described by others in this thread -- pick up the money, click Deposit to put it in the parcel window, then say who to deliver it to. But when Free To Play started, it seems they changed it so you can no longer send money to someone unless they are logged in at the time. That is really a drag, since I can no longer camp at the end of a group session and log on later to sell and mail out the split.
I have no idea what exploit they are preventing by disallowing sending plat to logged-off toons. I guess I'm just not imaginative enough. But it sure makes a mess of using it for legitimate purposes.

Select the amount of plat you want to send. When you do a secondary window should pop up similar to the list of coin in your bank. Deposit the coin. Then type in the name of the person you want to send the plat to.

Caden Zharik in PoK is the one I use most, right-click on him like a usual vendor and select the PARCELS tab at the top of the window. LEFT click the item you want to send from your bag...it will appear in his window. Fill in the name of the toon you want it to go to, and add a message in the Note line if you wish, then click SEND. A little brown box will appear in the window of the person you send it to, and the next time they log in they can claim it at any parcel NPC in game..Just a Note: You can send up to 50 items to the same toon...after the limit has been reached, the brown box turns red and you get a warning box telling you to remove the excess before you log out again or it will be lost!! I love the parcel guys and hope they add more in each zone, these NPC's rock!
