Hello Friend
Every morning the child woke
And said hello to everything
In al's living space
Hello bed, hello chair
Hello rug, hello stool
Hello to the door, way over there
Hello lamp, hello table
Hello to everything in the room
Perhaps I'll go outside, if I'm able
To say hello to the sky
And hello to the plants
But then the child wondered why
Should I say hello
To the people I know
It would be sad if my day ever ends
Without saying hello to my friends
