Apoth, my cleric, cast this recently
while in The Arena (working on Bind Wounds)...
"You begin casting Sanctuary."
"You feel at peace."
No spell buff, no song buff, no aura. Nothing.
Temperance sang Selo, ran away, came back,
no notifications.
I guess it's only good for practicing Divination.

It makes you sentinel. I alerts you of nearby NPC and PC within a certain radius around you. I use it all the time when I am in a new area and reloading new spells, then I can read what is walking nearby and move if I feel a NPC is going to be a threat or not.
