On the Creation of
Extravagant Weaponry

It has come to my attention
that a great deal of
Norrath's populace has
overlooked the recent
breakthroughs in weapons
crafting. The majority of
adventurers consider the
age of the artisan to be
over, not so I say! Yes
indeed, while the
multitudes have tended to
equip themselves like
scavengers from the wares
and spoils of their
enemies, I have done
nothing but scour the lands
for our finest crafters.
And while people may think
these crafted wares nary a
trifle's worth of effort,
they would soon be



surprised by the great
advancements granted by the
discovery of new materials.

With the arrival of a
marvelous new substance,
'dream dust' I believe
people are calling it, we
have been able to replicate
and refine weapons of
extraordinary caliber.

To you, my faithful reader,
I present the latest
discoveries in the fine art
of crafted weaponry.

The first thing you may
notice about these weapons
is that they are a
derivation on the formulaic
approach that has been used
previously. Better crafting
practices have allowed us



to imbue these weapons
unparalleled levels of
power as well as generally
reducing the amount of ore
required.

The discovery of 'dream
dust' has also allowed us
to create weapons that are
optionally infusible, an
art that was perfected by
the Combine and not often
replicated since. These
infusible weapons are
capable of being improved
by various energeiac power
sources.

Each of the weapons
described in these volumes
can come in an infused and
uninfused form, giving the
option to adventurers who
may prefer to avoid Combine



enchantments on their
weaponry.

In addition to being
infusible, all of these
weapons follow suit with
their stalwart counterparts
and are capable of being
augmented by various
symbols. The creation of
these symbols is detailed
in full in a handy three
volume set,
'Illustrious Reaching
Weapon Augments for
Jewelers',
' Fletching of Illustrious
Reaching Weapon Augments',
and 'Illustrious Weapon
Augmenting'.

These three tomes should
include all of the
information required to



craft the symbols that
further empower the
smithed, fletched and
tailored weapons.

Before simply detailing the
components you will need to
create these weapons I will
note the general derivation
of this set from previous
weapon sets.

These extravagant weapons
differ from previous sets
by the nature of their
design. These weapons are
crafted to either replicate
or improve upon ancient or
prominent designs, rather
than simply relying on the
providence of their
creator's experience.
Because of this fact, there
are often components you



may need to seek out
specifically for one weapon
design, but your
persistence will be
rewarded!
