Sorry if somebody already said this but this also drops off of the "a Corrupted Elysian Elder". Just got it today. Gratz to me.

Confirmed, also had this drop off a Corrupted Elysian Elder.
Took this guy down with me(58 shaman), 53 warrior, 54 necro and a 57 druid healing. Not very MR but he does like to cast his druid spells for sure. Took slow so easy it wasn't funny.
Druid was a very happy camper to get this. Our cleric had been pasted by this guy when he agroed and never had a chance to get back to camp. Was a good 6 minute fight though. lots of HP.

As of yesterday June 6th, 2002, they have made this Corrupted much harder than he was before. Prior to the patch I could take him down with 3 Druids. Now he has always been level 58. But the difference is now he casts spells appropriate to his level. Tried yesterday again with 3 of us to take him down, and was unable to. He was casting Winged death, Breath of Karana, Entrapping roots, and other like spells on us. I guess they were not kidding then they said they made the caster mobs smarter. I guess it only makes sense. It sure makes the fight alot more challenging. Good luck all. Thank god I got my Death Watchers Shroud before the change :)
Corrupted elysian elders drop these. As far as how hard they are well i like to 3 man em a druid a cleric and any melee around 55 or higher. They are rather easy they have no more hit points that the normale elysain mobs but they do cast spells at a lvl 49 druid so get ready for roots fire ice and dispells and healing when they get low. Seem to be there favorit nukes. Pulling can be a bit of a pain but past that there a rather wimpy lvl 58 mob. Oh and they do summon unlike normale elysain mobs
Not anymore, count on Winged death, Breath of Ro, and Scoriae poppin on you , along with Entrapping roots. Not easy and very painful to pull. Have all your MR cr, FR gear on.
I agree... nice upgrade for any of the classes listed... don't see too many shoulder items better unless you do the coldain quest etc...

Finally a good upgrade to Adamantine Epaulets. This is high on my list of equipment additions. Sure, there have been some insane items for Clerics coming out of Luclin, but lets face it... Most of those items will rarely be seen by your average Cleric. This, on the other hand, is not NO DROP, and is off a mob found in an area that is much more accessible than either Akheva (sic) Ruins, or the Temple (not even going to attempt to spell that one...lol)

This is a really nice item for clerics, easy to get, and much better than all the typicalls item that clerics used to wear in this slot : adamantit epolets, obulus death shroud, coldain prayer shawl, etc

They call it 'Death Watchers Shroud' though it adds wisdom..sounds like it should be a necro item.. Anyways, what drops it?
obulous death shroud has only wisdom as well...sooo, this is an upgrade to it I'm assuming
i don't think I want this on any Cleric I group with... If he's hiding under this shroud watching us die, there's gonna be some problems... =)

Actually, the reference to Death Watcher is accurate for all healers historically. Any "healer" in real world society (i.e. - doctor, nurse, etc.) has seen death. Not all illness is cureable. You don't always get there in time. Lag can stop that CHeal from landing when it should.....

Maybe the name is meant in the context of guarding someone from death. As in, you are watching out for death.

I watch Death Pheer my heals, as it runs away crying. Ill have to find some other piece of equip with mana 3,maybe a cristalline torque cause this baby isnt leaving my shoulders any time soon..
