...80 ac on a wep......
# Jan 28 2009 at 4:16 AM Rating: Decent
As an AC ***** I'm still wondering where the WAR only weps with decent AC went to....yes the new weps (sod raid weps) have way more hps but considerably less ac....it just doesn't make sense unless SOE feels that they gave the Warrior epic to much ac to start with.....I'm not saying there aren't better weps out there for warriors but we are how many expansions down the road and still AC wise there isn't anything that can touch the 2.5.....least nothing I have seen. Crystalos War only wep....whopping 59 ac....yeah yeah more mods/stats etc but still 21 less ac then the 2.5....im still wondering why it would be worth sacrificing the ac for dps since WAR's aren't true dps and swapping 20 ac for 300 hps is gonna be close to a push....other then the dps whats the advantage over a SOD wep?

I'm not going to pretend to know 100% about the AC formula, but I honestly don't think that only 21 points of AC at level 80 (which is FAR past the cap for diminishing returns) is that huge of an issue. However, I would pose this question to those on the Steel Warrior forums, they most likely know the answer.

And it's very possible that they realized they had too much AC on the weapons. They did that after Luclin came out, started scaling back on the AC on newer items.
2.0 upgrade

30 hitpoints and 10 ac upgrade

kinda in the luke warm category of upgrades

the rest of the stats are eye candy imo, like the 5cent bubblegum machine
stat bonus

i gota agree, we all have 500+ in stats, why put stats into this thing, while an effect, or an extra proc would have been way better than all these stats :/ also a mod like shielding, or strikethrough or something like that ....
what were they thinkin when they put 10 in stats on a tier2 demi drop :/

PS: no wonder, they are hirin high end item makers! lol

Don't forget that there are numerous events that have AEs that lower your stats and resists by xxx amount, often hundreds. The "700" strength you have gets knocked down to 200 300 400... you can always use the free stats. Not like it hurts anything by having them.
stat bonus?

Ever stop and wonder why there are base stat mods on this? Is there seriously a high end raider whos stats aren't maxxed way over the cap. Not complaining, just seems superfluous to me.

SOE does things like that a lot, and it's often a clue to future AA's or expansion changes. They're probably planning on raising the cap via AA, or give some sort of bonus for having excessively capped stats. My long-shot guess is that they'll introduce a number of boss mobs (or high-end zone AE effect) with some effect that reduces the player's stats by 100 or whatever. Being above the cap will be then become useful.

An Epic Augment: Warrior

Warrior invisible augment from An Epic Augment.

Does not show on the weapon after completing the quest. Apparently, its an invisible Type 30 Aug slot and this aug that both get added to the weapon.
